What if my ipod is showing the apple sign then turning off

what if my ipod is showing the apple sign then turning off

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

That happened to my brother earlier. He went into Facebooand then into another app and the same thing happened. he ended up having to restore it. Mine stayed with the Apple logo for a bit but its back to normal after pressing the buttons a million times. I hope you get your problem sorted. Goodluck!

  • When I power on my Ipad it shows the apple sign then turns off?

As it says above My Ipad wont turn on. Please help.

Try a reset:  Hold down the power key and the home button together for about 15 seconds.  When the apple appears let go of the buttons promptly.  It will take several more seconds to power up again, just wait.

my ipod keeps showing the apple symbol then shuts off.

Please tell me that it has NEVER been jailbroke.  If it has never been jailbroke, here are some standard repair procedures:
First, try a system reset.  It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears.  You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore.  Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset.  It could take well over an hour!  Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync.  From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab.  Follow the on-screen directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup.  You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod.  Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod.  As before, say "yes."  Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time.  If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device.  Corrective action is simple -  choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore (or it doesn't help), go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.  You WILL lose all of your data (game scores, etc,) but, for the most part, you can redownload apps and music without being charged again.  Also, read this.

  • My ipod turns on shows the apple logo, then turn into a white screen until it dies.

I was updating my ipod and it was almost complete, it restarted and the loading bar under the logo stopped. Then the ipod restarted again and now when it turns on it shows the apple logo, then turns into a white screen until it dies. After I charge it again it does the same thing automatically. Ive tried to restart and restore it but it wont work. What do I do? I've tried all the troubleshooting and nothing is helping.  The screen is also cracked, this wasnt the cause because it worked fine for 3 months after it was cracked.

See if placing the iPod in DFU mode will allow a restore.

If not successful that indicates a hardware problem. It could be that the damage started with the drop that also caused the cracked screen and the damage progress to the problem you have now. An example would a cracked that has finally progressed to it causing the problem.

  • My iPhone suddenly went off and now it shows the apple sign on and off

    Hello,
    Please help!!!
My iphone 4s just shut down and now its shows the apple image in the middle of the screen on and off. I tried to connect it with ym computer to restore it but it still doesnt turn on. Any tips what to do???
    Thanks

    Hello Tormento,
It sounds like your iPhone keeps restarting by itself. I recommend first resetting the phone with this process and seeing if it boots correctly:
To reset, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo.
From: Turn your iOS device off and on (restart) and reset
              http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430
If the issue persists, I would next put it into Recovery Mode and restore it with iTunes with the following article:
If you can't update or restore your iOS device

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    Take care,

  • IPod keeps blinking the Apple sign then going blank.

I was attempting to turn on my iPod, but it wouldn't come on. So I plugged it into my computer's USB port. Now it's just blinking the Apple logo, then going blank. I've tried closing iTunes, unplugging then re-plugging it, holding in the Home button, pretty much anything I can think of! Any suggestions or answers?

    Welcome to the discussions,
does your device charge using the wall adapter? If yes, let it charge for at least 20min, then connect in recovery mode: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808

  • IPhone 5 won't stay on after being charged. It is stuck at the apple logo then turns off after 30 second.

The phone has been fully charged, software OS 8.1.1 lots of storage and fully operational. Any ideas.

I understand what you are trying to say, but the device is not fully operational, or you wouldn't be here. Does the device go to logo, then turn off, then go to logo again? If not, then you need to first try a reset. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. If that does not help, then restore from backup. If the restore from backup is not successful, then restore as new, not from a backup. If the restore from new is not successful, then make an appointment at the Genius Bar of the nearest Apple store or Authorized Apple Service provider, depending on your location and have the hardware checked. You might also want to take a look at this link and see if your iPhone 5 qualifies for the battery replacement program.  https://www.apple.com/support/iphone5-battery/  Go to that site and enter your serial number. If you have trouble restoring, see this support document. If you can't update or restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
