You will need to restore your device as New to remove a Restrictions passcode. Go through the normal process to restore your device, but when you see the options to restore as New or from a backup, be sure to choose New.

Have each of the account owners contact Verizon to let them know that you will be doing an AOL on your lines. Then you call Verizon and explain what you want to do. Just that easy. But understand you'll have to get the new Share everything plan.

You wouldn't need to see the screen to backup unless you have a passcode on the device. Is that the case? You should be able to plug the device into the computer with iTunes and just select backup now.

On which device do you normally check mail?
I assume you must normally check on the phone and that is why you don't see it often. If you checked a POP account on your phone and hten tried to check the POP email account on your computer you would find that amy POP emails you accessed on your phone would not appear on the computer and that is because you have already downloaded them on the phone and they are no longer on the server so when your computer checks for mail the server responds to the computer and says there are no recent messages. The reverse of this would occur ifyou found new mail on your computer from the POP account. That new mail would not be found on the phone mail app

I have 5 phones on my family plan. One of which is an iphone 4 with the 30.00 unlimited data plan. It broke. So now I would like to switch that number to another phone on my plan, the iphone 4s. Still hesitant on this...:/. I have all 5 lines active. Two are month to month contracts and that includes the iPhone 4 unlimited data and a Samsung note 2 with 2 fb data. I have a single line right now, and I attempted to go through my account and "upgrade to a family plan," but when I get to the page where you select the new phone for your second line. The Iphone is nowhere to be found! It allows me to process any other phone with the upgrade to a Family Plan, except the Iphone. When you click the link on the front page to "buy it" it takes you to a whole new set up that only allows you to add an additional line, but no option to add it to a family plan. Is verizon not allowing upgrades to family plans and adding a line with the Iphone? Or will I have to brave the store lines to get this done?

I would go to a store, I think it's just where they have the iphone in a link by itself right now instead of with all the other phones, I would almost be sure you can do this in store without a problem at all. Some people are saying there are actually no lines at stores they've been at so you may get lucky and not have a line at your local verizon store.

What I am ultimately wanting to do is make more room on my computer by backing up all of my files onto the external hard drive and then deleting them off of my computer. However, neededing to be able to retrieve them from the external hard drive later down the road.
From what I have read and am trying to understand, is that I probably shouldn't have used time machine. I need to use the external hard drive like a basic flash drive where I can put things on and get things off without having it automatically update through time machine everytime I connect it to my computer.

This is a tedious solution, which is stupid! And some users report an inability to reauthorize a computer after an "en masse” deauthorization. I can’t believe Apple doesn’t provide a list or menu to find out which computers you’ve authorized! Obviously, APPLE knows (or else they couldn’t tell us how many computers we have authorized)--so why can’t they give us access to that information about our own computers??!!!
And for an already-authorized computer with a hard drive that’s since been replaced and upgraded from Mavericks to Yosemite, would it be recognized as a “new computer” and require authorization? Your best bet would be to try resetting the password to the account that you would like to use via iForgot
Once you log in to that account change the email address to anything, it can even be fake its just a placeholder
After you do that you will be free to change your old email address on your appleID to the new one that is now free to be used as it is no longer attached to the other account.

If Mail in Mavericks is the same as earlier versions you can select accounts in the sidebar, so that you can either display the inboxes for individual accounts, or the contents of all the account inboxes. (If the accounts don't show click the disclosure triangle next to 'INBOX'). The layout may have changed since the version I have - Snow Leopard - but you should be able to do the same thing.

Your iPhone and iPod can share the same iTunes account. Apps can be freely shared and used by one or both devices. You can't use money in your iTunes account to pay for your phone, but purchased apps can be used by both the iPod and iPhone.
