I've not found information on what-if scenarios...
Anyone know a link to an Apple page (not external pages)
Anyone know of the answers to these questions, regardless of whether they are Apple pages - though Apple answers are what I'm looking for.
What if the gift is never received:
What if the recipient (unknowingly to the sender) doesn't have iTunes?
What follow-up is there to the *sender* i.e., your music gift has been received and/or redeemed,

Redeeming a "gift" of music

I sent a "gift" of music consisting of 2 songs to a friend... when he opened the email from itunes, it said to press the redeem now button... however, it was non exsistant. This is the second time this has happened to me. What do I do now?

I had the same thing happen to me but I was one the who received the gift. I opened iTunes and went to the Home page. I scrolled down to the bottom of the page. I clicked on Support and got sent to a page called, "On your way to support?" It somehow knew that I didn't get my music. I clicked on the Download Now button, signed into my dotmac account and it downloaded immediately! I hope that works for you.

I don't understand what's happening with my Music. All the songs that I purchased, that were previously on my phone, now show up a Cloud next to them, but I can't play them. If I touch the Cloud, it turns into a red square but never downloads.

I've sync'd my phone, I've turned it to "show all music" in Settings, I've drag and dropped the songs/albums onto my phone again. I feel like I've tried everything I've seen recommended, but nothing works.

Once you successfully add you iTunes library to iTunes Match, you go to Settings>iTunes & App Store on your iOS device and turn on iTunes Match. Your iTunes Match library will then appear on your iOS device.

Buddhabeat...clicking on the "Report a Problem" button next to the song(s) in question, should open a drop-down list menu, that allows you to select the specific issue/area of concern that you are experiecing (or you can select a generic "My problem is not on the list" (or something to that effect). Underneath this drop-down menu box, there should be another message box where you can describe the issue/problem your having. Below this message box will be a "Submit" button...clicking on that will send your message to the Apple iTunes Store Customer Support Centre (you will see a confirmation message that your message has been sent), as well as receive an email notification from the Support Centre confirming your message has been received, a case number, and that you will receive an email response pertaining to the issue/problem you're having, from the Support Centre asap (usually within 24 hours). That's how it worked for me, anyhow.

It is the long number above the bar code on the front or the back of the gift card. If you received it by email, you should be able to click on the link to redeem it, and it will automatically put the number in for you. Otherwise, you need to type in the entire number:

I see your profile indicates that you have a Time Capsule, have you gone through your Time Machine Backups to locate your purchases?
If you didn't make a back-up of your music/movie purchases to restore from before reinstalling your operating system then I'm sorry to say that I'm sorry to say that the policy on lost music/media purchases is that you have to pay to download them again: iTunes Store: Purchased content can be downloaded only once
The licensing of Purchased applications allows for them be downloaded over again, see this article for details: How to redownload purchased applications from the App Store
If you have an iPod that still has any of your purchases on it you'll find details in this article on how to transfer them to the computer: Copying iTunes Store purchases from your iPod or iPhone to a computer
Failing this, you could try contacting iTunes Store Customer Service and you might be able to persuade them to sanction a second free download. There have been occasional reports in the iTunes forum of this happening, however just be aware that they are not under any obligation to do so. There is no real way to give you any accurate number.
My personal music library is 966 files, 6.81 gb.
One entire season of a 45 minute tv show, 22 episodes from iTunes is 10.96gb.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
I assume you are talking about non-purchased music here.
Any non-purchased music on your computer that is recognised by iTunes match will be matched in the cloud from the iTunes Store, this will then be available to all your devices. However the original file will stay on your computer unless you delete it and then download the iTunes version from the cloud.
Any no-npurchased music on your computer that isn't recognised by iTunes match will be uploaded to the cloud, it is that version that will then be available to your other devices using iTunes match.
When you have no Internet connection, you will only be able to play the content which resides in your library. Depending on your requirements, this may be all of it, none of it or just some of it.

I tried gifting a music video to a friend's email, but on the final screen just before the transaction is complete, I click on 'Buy Gift' and a small pop-up window appears that reads 'Your request is temporarily unable to be processed.
