Hi - Re Keynote  I'm trying to figure out how to create a music album (as an artist) on USB flash drive, (accessible by both Mac and PC). What I want is a background picture with 'click-buttons' to play each track listed, and play in order (like a cd) - also similar for embedded videos and photos etc. This should all be on the one page.
Is this possible with Keynote, or any other software package for Mac (am using Macbook Pro) ?

    Hi there,
Yikes, it sounds like you've been doing a lot of work on this project... Unfortunately, however, this isn't the Adobe Encore forum, but the Acrobat.com forum. While it seems like an exciting question, we're not able to address issues pertaining to other Adobe products and services. Here's a link to the Adobe Encore forum, where you're more likely to get help for this specific issue:

Sorry not to be of more specific help to you. Best of luck!

Was on a website when a box opened up asking me what I wanted to run the application as and I clicked on Firefox - now I can't use that website.

You should never select Firefox as the application to handle a file if you get an open with dialog.
Firefox wouldn't ask this if it can handle the file.<br />
You will have to remove that action in Tools > Options > Applications

  • What is "LabVIEW Run Time Engine"?

I'm trying to find the differences between two computers that I'm troubleshooting.  One of them is my development system which has the whole Development Suite installed, and the other is a test station which has LabVIEW 8.0 Evaluation Version installed.  When I was looking through the list of programs in my development system (in Add/Remove Programs), I found a program named "LabVIEW Run Time Engine" and the size is 0.11 MB that is not in my test station.  I thought all the NI components are installed under "National Instruments Software" including the Run Time Engine...
Does anyone knows what this is?
    See-Ming

The Run Time Engine is a library of routines that a compiled Labview program needs to run on a system that doesn't have the development environment.  It is similar to Visual Basic's vbrun.dll, which compiled VB programs need to run.
As far as I know, the run time engine gets installed whenever you install any Labview development environment.  This engine is usually only necessary when running a Labview program compiled to an exe format.  Both the exe and the run time engine can be installed on another computer so that the program can run without having to buy another development package for that computer.
The runtime engine is called LVRT.DLL.  Search for it.  For version 7.1, the run time engine is in C:\Program Files\National Instruments\shared\LabVIEW Run-Time\7.1\lvrt.dll

  • What does "Always stay up to date with the latest photography innovations from Adobe" mean ?

    Hello,
I'm considering buying Lightroom 6 standalone version, but I wonder what the fact that "Always stay up to date with the latest photography innovations from Adobe" isn't available means ?
Will the standalone version be updated for free with new camera support ?
Will the standalone version be updated for free with defects correction ?
If there are new functionalities (lightroom minor version), won't they be available for standalone version before the next major version ?
    Thanks for your help

My understanding is that LR6 will continue to receive bug fixes and new camera support updates, but not any new functionality/features that LRCC receives. See question 2 at the bottom on this post: Lightroom CC/Camera Raw FAQ

  • I want to switch contract dates with anther phone, How do I do that?

I have a phone that the contract is up in a week... How do I switch contract end dates with my other phone?

You can't switch contracts/contract end dates.  You could swap the phones between the lines, but of course that means they'll also have to swap phone numbers.

  • Whats recommended? Running CSS in parallel with or independent of LD?

In migrating from Local Directors to CSS, is it recommended to deplot the CSS to be independent of the local directors? We have a proposed design that maintains the Local Directors as part of the solution, and I feel that may not be the best way, and I wanted to post this here and see what the consensus is.

CSS is a superset of LD. CSS does what LD does and much more. CSS strengths lay in L5-L7 ie. NBAR, Flash Crowd insurance with WebNS, Cookie and URL inspection, and TCP intercetpt & splicing of connections to the best server in the server farm. Yes it can do L2, L3, L4 but there are other Cisco products to do this.
I agree the inclusion of LD in your new solution limits you to L4 functionality. My own opinion is that a solution is only as good as the "weakest" component. I would go independant of the LD. Perhaps you can redeploy the LD in another part of the LAN?

  • What is Run time execution in odi?

I came up this question after attending one interview. What exactly a run time execution in oracle data integrator?

    Hi Kumar,
SAP Exchange Infrastructureruntime consists of a series of components:
    ·        The Integration Engine executes the integration logic of the Integration Server and converts messaging (of the Integration Server or application systems).
    ·        The proxy runtime uses proxies to exchange messages with the Integration Server. This section addresses the programming model for ABAP and Java proxies.
    ·        The Adapter Engine uses the RFC adapter and external adapters to exchange messages with the Integration Server.
    ·        The respective adapters are either connected using the Adapter Engine or run independently (for instance, the IDoc adapter and the plain HTTP adapter).
    ·        Central monitoring monitors XI runtime components, the message flow, and the performance.

  • Apex mobile Date-Picker (date with time) format mask error

    Hi together.
I'm playing  a little bit with Apex mobile.
I want to save a date with hours and minutes in the database. So i have an date field (type: date with time).
On my phone i can select an date value with time, but when i want to save the value, i get an format error, that the format 'YYYY-MM-DD"T"HH24:MI:SS' is wrong.
I can't change the format mask in the element properties, because it is everytime going back to the old value "YYYY-MM-DD"T"HH24:MI:SS", when i save it.

Not a 100% related, but personally and from a usability point-of-view I really dislike the built-in datetimepicker and so far every client who has seen it has agreed with it. It pops the date and time down to the bottom, it only selects when you hit close, it just doesn't look appealing as the normal datepicker does and you expect more. Personally I've also gone the route Jari described several times, and it's probably still the cleanest and least error-prone option. Validating dates can be quite a pain, but the datepicker built-in validation does that fine, so if you can circumvent validating a free-text time field that helps). I've used some jQuery timepicker plugins aswell, and they're ok, but still don't solve the validation (even though there is some javascript validation you still need serverside validation). All I'm trying to say is that using select lists for hour-minutes is not such a bad idea in my opinion.

thank sabre150 for your reply. But the key pair is generated when I use DH to exchange the secret key. Yes! It is a DH key pair and cannot be used for signing. The DH key pair can only be used for secret sharing.
If I can not use this private key to sign the data, what can i do?Do I have to generate another key pair for signature? In that way, I will have two key pair. Yep. You can generate a DSA or an RSA key pair to be used for signing.
Because I use http protocol to exchange the key to get the shared secret key, Yep.
If I generate another key pair, how can i send the public key to server? Since public keys are 'public' then you can send them in the open to anyone you like. In fact, if you don't publish your public keys then they are pretty much a waste of time. The biggest problem one has with public key is proving 'ownership' - if someone sends me a public key how do I know that the sender is actually who they say they are?.
I am confused. Some reading might help. A pretty good starting point is "Beginning Cryptography with Java" by David Hook published by Wrox.

  • Necessity of a run time engine

I'm taking a guess here, Labview is an interpreted language and that means
it needs something to convert the labview code into machine instructions,
the converter is the Labview runtime engine.
I think even if you create a *.exe file you need the runtime engine to run
    it. I don't have the full d
evelopment version though so don't quote me on
    that.
If you look in the help index for run-time engine you will find this answer
    "Using the LabVIEW Run-Time Engine
If you create a system using LabVIEW that runs applications or shared
libraries, then you must install the LabVIEW Run-Time Engine. The LabVIEW
Run-Time Engine includes the libraries and other files necessary to execute
LabVIEW-built applications and shared libraries. All client computers
running LabVIEW-built applications and shared libraries must also have the
    LabVIEW Run-Time Engine installed.
The LabVIEW Run-Time Engine also includes a browser plug-in that allows
clients to view and control VI front panels remotely using a browser.
All applications and shared libraries built with a particular version of
LabVIEW will share the same LabVIEW Run-Time Engine installation, so only
one installation is required. If you use applications or shared libraries
that you create with different versions of LabVIEW (for example, 5.1,
    6.0,
and so on), you must have the Run-Time Engine for each version of LabVIEW
    installed on the system.
You can find an installer for the LabVIEW Run-Time Engine on your LabVIEW
    CD. "

  • Can I run two separate versions of the LabVIEW Run-Time Engine on one PC?

Hello, I am curious if anyone knew if it is possibly to install and use two separate versions of the LabVIEW Run-Time Engine on one PC?  I currently have the 2009 Run-Time Engine installed on one machine and wanted to install the 2011 Run-Time Engine as well. I know that you can run two separate versions of the LabVIEW program on one machine, but what about the Run-Time Engine?
    Thanks!
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

I'm guessing this is a bug that NI needs to fix.  I see no reason you shouldn't be able to install the run-time engine of an older version.  I'd be interesed in if it allows you to install the older development environment, which also includes the older run-time engine.  There are some command line switches for NI installers as mentioned here:
    http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/C361087EE9F20810862577850073128E
I wonder if there is a force install option.
