What is a best choice

So i have been looking for a new phone for quite a while now. It was a huge mistake switching my xm5800 for se satio(still using). It was a big fail for such a great phone. I was looking at the n8 but alot of ppl have trouble with it. My other choice is the se arc but se left me down with the satio. My other option is wait for the new series of nokia using wp7. What do you guys think?

wp7 if i am not mistaken it will come out end of the year (and if any delay can take longer)
so if you can wait is fine
dont take much notice about if phone have problem
here is a forum and of course some users having problem and thats why are here i mean yes some handsets may have some problems but mainly you need worry if reboots it self
i have litlle bugs too but is fine is not a major problem
all phones has that litlle bugs
the problem is if you are unlucky get a nokia that keeps reboots but for this reason dont get it from places like ebay etc but from an official dealer in the case you will face this problem
i also advise to check the C7
is almost same features as the n8 just its memory is half and there is not hdmi to tv but normal tv out
the camera is 8 mp and not 12 but if you check utube video recording of it is not bad as long you dont want super quality with it
if this is ok for you should check it
C7 has got NFC chip build in which with the new update symbian anna it will reads bcards, and tags ,giving some instant infos about products etc
i have allready ordered a C7 as well and the price for such a nice handset is very good and now 100 pounds cheaper than the original price in uk market from nokia direct
and 175 pounds cheaper than the N8.that is a lot difference and maybe better option for your pocket  after spending money for a satio in sort time
sorry i advertice the c7 i just got my self  one
just hopes i will not be unlucky to keeps rebooting ummmmm, is on the way by post so lets see
good luck to your choice

  • What JVM do you use?  What is the best choice?

We may be rolling forward Discoverer 10.1.2 sometime in the near future. The current release uses Sun J2RE 1.4.2-06. There is a J2RE 1.4.2-09 available, as well as JRE 5.0 Update 5. Deploying JVMs is a pain when potentially hundreds of PCs are involved, and I'm sure there will be a version of Discoverer sometime in the future will prefer a different JVM.
What's the best choice, which JVM is supported & solid with the existing 10.1.2 release as well as potential future releases?

    Hi,
the plus works as standard with J2RE 1.4.2-06. Right, but that isn' a must cause you can change that.
    Oracle said this:
"Dynamic Versioning for SUN Plug-in is a standard Sun feature and is described at Sun website:
    http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/docs/guide/plugin/developer_guide/using_tags.html#in-ie
The changes documented are not supported by Oracle. While the changes documented have been tested on a limited number of platforms, these changes are provided without any claims to their accuracy"
    The solution is easy:
    1. Under the path ...\discoverer\config from App-Server you find the 'configuration.xml' file
    2. Open this file and search for 'jvm name' for 'sun'
    3. Change the classid="clsid:CAFEEFAC-0014-0002-0004-ABCDEFFEDCBA" (static versioning ! ) through this classid="clsid:8AD9C840-044E-11D1-B3E9-00805F499D93" (dynamic versioning !!) and save the file
    4. Restart the discoverer App-Server - ready
From now the Plus will use every version above J2RE 1.4.2-06 and only if there is an older version he will download his own version.
We tested this with several versions 1.4.2-xx and with JRE5-3. It works.

  • JSF - Tomcat security...what is the best choice for a high activity site

JSF - Tomcat security...what is the best choice for a high activity site
The JDBCRealm is not multithreaded so what are options for high activity site??
I would like to have Apache as front end doing load balancing, Tomcat as server and JSF.
    All ideals and suggestions please.
    Thanks
    Phil

    One more question.
    Since Tomcat has this setup.
    create table users (
user_name varchar(15) not null primary key,
    user_pass varchar(15) not null
    create table user_roles (
    user_name varchar(15) not null,
    role_name varchar(15) not null,
    primary key (user_name, role_name)
It seems like a huge pain to keep a user with every role. What happens when you have 500,000 users???
Also, the authentications on every page....would it be easier to login once and setup a session bean check that on with the page header ??
    Thanks

  • What is the best choice for our project? Thanks

We are a startup company and developing a webiste with two mobile app.
We use PHP in the server side and write with a private framework.
We don't want to use any host-specific APIs so that we can move to other cloud server easily.
In our case, can we use Website option in Azure?
If the answer is yes. What is the best choice for us, VM or website? We need scalability in the future.
    Thanks!

    hi,
It depends on your requirement. Base on my experience, VM or website all could meet your requirement. From your description, You could use azure website to host your php website (http://www.windowsazure.com/en-us/documentation/articles/web-sites-php-configure/).
And you could use website auto scale feature in the future. I suggest you could see their comparison (http://www.windowsazure.com/en-us/documentation/articles/choose-web-site-cloud-service-vm/
    Hope it helps.

  • What is the best choice?

    Hi
I have been thinking what is the best choice between Canon HV 20, Sony HDR-SR 5:n and Panasonic HDC-SD1? I have Imac G5 (3gt) and purpose of use final cut pro 5.0 for editing. (not 6.0)
    Thanks

    Hi vepakari,
I don't think that Final Cut Pro 5 will support video format and usb interface that offered from those tapeless camera.
Do double check on camera compatibility list for FCP 5
The other way around is you consider FCP 6 (FCS2) or you can use iMovie from iLife suite '08 that support tapeless camcorder. import using that iMovie, and save it as project, re-open that using your FCP 5.
    Good Luck.

  • What is the best choice of hard drives?

My G4 AGP.350MHz with 1.3 GHz upgrade needs an additional internal hard drive for backup. It currently has an 80 GB and 160 GB. I am moving out the 80 GB HDD to my G3 Beige. I am thinking about getting a 80-120 GB for replacement. What is the best choice of hard drives?
Will the 80 GB hard drive, with Mac OS 10.4.4 installed, run in my G3 Beige 233MHz with G4 500MHz upgrade?
    Thanks.

"What is the best choice of hard drives?"
I'm thinking of adding a drive to my G4. I will probably put a 150 MB SATA PCI card in and get a SATA drive. Going from the ATA66 interface to the 150 SATA should be a noticeable improvement.

As long as it's an IDE drive, it should work fine. Be sure you have only one of the drives set as the master, if you have more than one drive.

  • What's the best choice re video file format in a camera for iDVD production

I currently am using a Sony DSC H1 digital camera which does shoot video in MPEG 1. I use MPEG Streamclip to convert those clips to MPEG 4. The results on my TV screen after processing through iMovie and iDVD are "acceptable" but I will want to upgrade to a good video camera at some point to expand my capabilities. My question is - what video file format should I look for in a camera in order to produce the easiest to work with and best quality result from my iMac?? I am using iMovie HD 5.0.2 and iDVD 5.0.1. Thanks for any suggestions.

a superior pic quality can be accomplished with socalled 3ccd cameras, as from Panasonic...
HD (=HiDef) offers much more detail/quality, but is (yet) not supported natively to any disk-delivery format (Apple supports the BluRay consortium); external BluRay Burners (=$$$$) come bundled with a special HD-edition of Toast7...

Would a MacBook or MacProfessional work better for me? I will need to do video editing and run 2-5 min video clips using the Final Cut Express and Photoshop Express. • What are the best external backup battery choices for the iPod Touch 4G?

    Hello,
I am so disappointed with the battery life on my iPod Touch 4G, even when I turn off location services and notifications and put it in airplane mode.
As such, I realize that I am going to have to get an external backup battery, even though I don't like the idea of carrying around yet another item.
What are the best choices out there, especially any ultra-portable (aka small and non-bulky) ones?  I came across this Juice Pack Air - iPod Touch 4G Case, which seems like the perfect solution, but it is on back order and seems to have been so for a good amount of time.  Who knows when it will be in stock again.
TIA for any and all help!

  • What's the best for green screen filter  Color Key or Chroma key?

What is the difference, and what is the best choice for a person standing in front of a green screen.
    Color Key or Choma key?
Which offers the most solutions for dealing with variations in the green background, such as occasional wrinkles/seams in the fabric.
    Thanks
    Rowby

I did mean Adobe Ultra or previously Serious Magic Ultra. I have no personal experience with Primatte, but have heard very positive reports. For relatively simple work with a good green/blue screen, which is properly lighted and not too much wrinkles, Ultra is easy, fast and effective, but it pays to have a look at the tutorials on how to setup a proper key. When you have rather bad lighting on the screen, Keylight is better and adds more flexibility, but is harder to master than Ultra. It also lacks the MSL (Master Set Libraries) capabilities of Ultra, but if you have never used Ultra before, you may be hard pressed to find any of the MSL's from the Serious Magic era around. Adobe has apparently stopped selling those, apart from the basic one which is included with Ultra. Maybe Karl Soule or Mark Mapes, previous Serious Magicians, can shed some light on the future of Ultra in the Adobe portfolio.

  • Best choice for a date column in forms

    Hello,
I want to know what is the best choice for a date field that the user have to enter manually. I read on a other post that a calender control is not directly implemented in forms 9i. So what is the best choice to be "user friendly" with a date field in a form?
    thanks in advance.

    Hi
Don't know if this would be much use to you, but I wrote this function 'Check_Date' a while back to check whether the user had typed something which could be interpreted as a date. You'd make your date field into a Text Item, and include a call to this function (which could be in your form, or in a library) in the WHEN-VALIDATE-ITEM trigger on the item, ie:
IF NOT check_date(:ITEMS.date_item1, NULL, NULL) THEN
        RAISE FORM_TRIGGER_FAILURE;
END IF;This would mean that the user could type 'T' or '*' for today, '+1' for tomorrow, '-7' for one week ago, or the date in a variety of formats. When they leave the field, the function tries to resolve what they've typed into a date, and sets the field to a date in the correct format.
('Display_Alert' is just a function to display a named alert with a message.) It can also be used to check that the date entered doesn't fall outside upper and lower bounds. Code follows:
    FUNCTION Check_Date (text_in        IN OUT VARCHAR2,
                         lower_bound_in IN DATE,
                         upper_bound_in IN DATE)
    RETURN BOOLEAN IS
    first_letter      VARCHAR2(1)  := SUBSTR(text_in, 1, 1);
    date_ok           BOOLEAN;
    this_date         DATE;
    date_diff         NUMBER(8);
    output_format     VARCHAR2(12) := Get_Application_Property(BUILTIN_DATE_FORMAT);
TYPE date_format_table_type IS TABLE OF VARCHAR2(12)

  • Best choice for format and preset for a simple video

I have a simple video of plain text and some music assembled in AE. I now want to encode it using the Adobe media encoder. What is the best choice of format and preset, if I want to be able to send (or link) the video to others, and have it play well on most devices like computers, particularly a Mac, with whatever the default player they come with?

Thanks for the reply, but I remain flabbergasted by the permutations of format and preset. Why it appears to be a miracle that anyone can watch anything on any device. Who knew such codec madness existed. What on earth is wrong with manufacturers? Surely they should convene in order develop some universal standard, or at least limit the field to a managable two or three options.
Are resolution changes cumulative? In other words, let's say I had a fairly low resolution video, do I need to convert the format and preset to the highest settings to maintain that quality, to avoid something analogous to a fourth or fifth generation magnetic tape copy degredation? Or will matching the quality leave the resolution unchanged?
Also, I have a JVC video camera that uses MOD codec. I just bought the darn thing a year ago, and would have anticipated it would use a current or more common codec. If I send someone a video with a MOD codec, what is the likelihood they will be able to view it? Perhaps I should be converting it? And if so, is Media Encoder the right tool?
