What is a code purple?

I have a Touch Smart and tried to formatt it and got the error message: code purple. What can I do to fix this? My warranty is out.

I ran my media center hdd on an msi mobo after my original boards pci x slot went bad, microsoft gave me a new key. I did not like msi board and before I changed it I tried a full recovery, message came up configuration error code purple, so I put it on the orig. mobo(now running xp pro on system vga port) and same error came up. What now?

Hopefully I got this correct.
1) Your original mobo, OS, Recovery partition, and Recovery DVD's (if you made them) are all keyed to the original KEY.
2) A new mobo requires a new KEY. You did that via Microsoft. That key will only work with the MSI mobo.

Hello - Need help badly. I am a complete computer novice so bear with me. Have a Hp 6223 - pretty old but working great until about month ago..constant crash dump, freezing, shutting down etc. Someone gave me advice take computer back to orginal factory settings. Did that now getting configuration error message - disk code purple. Then tried to use recovery disks, error msg not supported by PC - what??? - nothing has been changed within tower. Tried technique I saw in this forum by Purple Killer - not seeing what he/she says I should see when I do shift +f10..I see C:\windows\system32>..caleed HP support could barely understand person who I talked to - he said I must have changed motherboard, I kept tellingg him did not...then told me computer too old, buy a new one. In this state will an upgrade to windows 7 even work? PLEASE HELP

When requesting assistance, please provide the complete model name and/or product number of the HP computer in question. HP/Compaq makes thousands of models of computers that are all different. Without this information it may be difficult or impossible to assist you in resolving your issue
The model information provided is too vague to identify your computer accurately. Assuming you are in the USA and the computer is a desktop, it could be the HP Pavilion a6223w Desktop Computer. A couple of options you have include;
1) Install Windows Vista from a plain Windows Vista disc and use the product key from the Windows COA on the side of the computer.
2) Purchasing and installing Windows 7.
Your computer will fully support both of these installations and you should also have no issues running Windows 7. Keep in mind that the freezing, shutting down, and crash dumps could be the result of hardware and/or software issues and these issues may not go away with a clean installation.

Need fix for CODE PURPLE ERROR please

I see lots of discussion about the Code Purple error out here. I called tech support on my out of warranty unit and they wont tell me much but they did tell me that the file I am working with to fix this is not the one mentined amongst the posts here ( CHKCFG.BAT ).
What solutions are there for there issue that actually work ???

I received this code in a pop up window while trying to open iTunes from my Apps folder.

Could be many things, we should start with this...
"Try Disk Utility
1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc, then restart the computer while holding the C key.

4. Select your Mac OS X volume.
5. Click Repair Disk, (not Repair Permissions). Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."

Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.)
If perchance you can't find your install Disc, at least try it from the Safe Boot part onward.

Taken at face value, you're having trouble with an Apple Application Support program file there. (Apple Application Support is where single copies of program files used by multiple different Apple programs are kept.)
Let's try something relatively simple first. Restart the PC. Head into your Add or Remove Programs control panel, select "Apple Application Support", click "Change" and then click "Repair".
If no joy after that, try the more rigorous uninstall/reinstall procedure from the following post. (Although the procedure is for Vista and 7 and you've got XP, just read "Computer" as "My Computer", read "Uninstall a program control panel" as "Add or Remove programs control panel" and assume the system is 32-bit, and you'll be doing the right things.)

What is error code 603 and how does one fix it?

What is error code 603, please, regarding add-on installation? (The error codes page says for "error 6xx" to contact the Exchange online forum for assistance..) It is a "failed online license check" for an add-on that is a free add-on listed on the Adobe Add-ons page as compatible with PS CS6, CC, and CC 2014, as well as all three versions of a bunch of other apps. It is a Flypaper app, which looks to have been reworked to be compatible with the new 2014 apps. Since Flypaper apps come from reliable source, I'm not sure what the error means, and I'm certainly not sure how to remedy this. (The original Russell Brown Paper Textures Pro works fine on PS CC but isn't compatible with 2014.)
I am running Win 7 64-bit.

The add-on in question is called "Flypaper Select" (by Flypaper Textures).
This morning, when I sent the question, it was on last page of the free PS
add-on list and showed the add-on as compatible with all three latest PS
versions. Tonight, when I click on the add-on in "my add-ons" list, it now
shows compatibility only with PS6 and CC, and I can no longer even find it
in the big add-ons list. I will try to send screen shot of "my add-ons" to
the address you listed. It is also below.

I completed a full system recovery. Still getting a configuration error. (code purple).

It might be in component CRMCMP_NAVBAR. However, so far I have been unable to get a break point to activate. Ideally on choosing an option from the navigation bar, like Service ticket, I would like the debug session to start before call the Service Ticket component.
This is all in the aim of trying to determine why the initial startup of the Service Ticket is so slow.

Errors related to downgrading iOS
The required resource cannot be found: This alert message occurs when your device has a newer version of iOS than what is available in iTunes.
