What is a Compilation, Help me PLZ
I was looking at my songs and locating them all when i noticed some are under "compilation", why?? what is a compilation? and should i remove it from there and put it in the correct folder?, and is consolidating a library a good idea? i have 5,000 songs on this ipod and i dont want to totally mess this all up, someone please help me
The compilation designation is a somewhat arbitrary one. Via Gracenote (the CDDB), this indicator is passed to iTunes and used to direct where the Album is 'foldered'. Note that the Gracenote compilation indicator is user driven and can vary.
It's a definitional issue: some consider an Artist's 'Greatest Hits' album to be a compilation - others do not. I have seen it come across from the CDDB in both designations, so there is little consistency. I prefer to have all the Albums from one Artist under one folder, so I remove the compilation tag from the Greatest Hits albums. It's your choice.
Same thing happens with some Soundtrack albums. Some come across as compilations, others do not. It's always best to check this attribute prior to importing the CD (if it makes a difference to you).
If you find albums in the Compilation folder that you do not want there, just highlight the complete selection of songs in the album within iTunes, 'get info' and remove the compilation check-mark. iTunes will reorganize the music files/folders to reflect this change. No problems when done within iTunes.

Of course if you are both connected to the same iCloud account you have the same contacts - what did you expect?. The contacts live on the server and are read from there by the devices; so as you've both managed to sync your contacts up to iCloud they are now inextricably mixed. You can only delete your contacts by deleting individual ones, and doing that will delete them from your phone as well.
You can only unravel this by
1. In the iCloud contacts page at http://icloud.com, select all the contacts, click on the cogwheel icon at bottom left and choose 'Export vCard'.
2. Sign out of System Preferences>iCloud
3. Create a new Apple ID and open a new iCloud account with it for your own use.
4. Import the vCard back into the iCloud contacts page.
5. Go to http://icloud.com and sign in with the original ID. This is now his ID. Work through the contacts individually deleting the ones you don't want him to have. When done sign out and advise him to change his password.
6. Go to the new iCloud account and delete his contacts individually.
Of course if you have also been syncing calendars and using the same email address there are problems with doing this. -

Neither can we. Only the original owner can help you, surely he/she can reset their password.

I have a lock rotation next ti my battery on my iPad 2 and it won't change from landscape and I tried to reset it but nothing and I tried from lock rotation to mute but nothing and I don't no what to do now. Can u help me plz?
With Settings > General > Use Side Switch To set to 'Lock Rotation' have you then moved the switch on the right-hand side of the iPad above the volume control 'off' ?
Or with the switch set to control 'notification mute' you should be able to unlock rotation via the far left of the taskbar : double-click the home button; slide from the left; and it's the icon far left; press home again to exit the taskbar. You will have to call AppleCare and give them the model and serial number so they can advise who it is locked with. Then you will have to contact that cell provider and find out what their unlock process is, if there is a fee, and if you qualify. If it is locked to a company that does not have an unlock policy then you will not be able to unlock it.

Careless? Possible, but unlikely. Most likely the phone was stolen from the first owner. It would be a VERY careless iPhone owner who did not erase their personal information from a phone before selling it, and to do that it is necessary to disable Activation Lock. In most places in the world knowingly using stolen property is a crime, so the fact that the phone doesn't work may be the least of one's risks. -

I'm in the process of bringing a FrameMaker book through
RoboHelp. The FrameMaker book is basically an instruction manual /
user guide for a software program. Previously, this software has
utilized your basic HTML Help, compiled with an HTML Help editor,
and utilizing "What's This?" field level context sensitive help.
Going through RoboHelp documentation, I've seen many references
that "field-level help is not available in WebHelp, only in HTML
Help". Is there a way to get the same type of context-sensitive
help in WebHelp? I have my RoboHelp project all lined up and ready
to go, with all the necessary topics assigned to Map ID's. Will the
developer of the software simply be able to take these Map ID's,
call them out in his source code wherever needed (as was done
previously for What's This? help)? Or will he not be able to do
that, and the best we can get in WebHelp is window-level context
sensitive help?
I'm fairly new to both FrameMaker and RoboHelp, and have
learned mostly through experimenting and going through the product
documentation, so in my case the simplest explanation of the
process of getting What's This? Help in WebHelp will be the best!

Way to control which compiled help appears to user?
Just to provide a little background--I have been working with Robohelp for years as an author but basically have no technical expertise. I write topics, press buttons in robohelp to generate compiled help, and that's it. So here's my issue:
We will be generating help in different languages and will have a different compiled help for each language. Since a single client using our software may have employees speaking different languages, we will be installing help for each possible language that can be used with the installation of our software. What we want to do is to be able to have the employee click on a context sensitive help button (which we do now) but open the appropriate help for their language. I guess the idea is that the employee might have to enter some parameter indicating the language, and then the appropriate help opens. Is this something that can be done through Robohelp itself, or would I have to have a developer figure something out on that end?I think this would have to be something a developer sets up.
I wonder if they can do something along the lines of requiring users to indicate the required language as a setting in your application and then set the help calls to go to the appropriate language help.
