What is a decmpfs_fetch_uncompressed_data err -35

I am getting this message in console. Can anyone tell me what it means? Thanks so much.

If you have more than one user account, these instructions must be carried out as an administrator.
Launch the Console application.
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left.
Enter the word "Starting" (without the quotes) in the String Matching text field. You should now see log messages with the words "Starting * backup," where * represents any of the words "automatic," "manual," or "standard." Note the timestamp of the last such message. Clear the text field and scroll back in the log to that time. Post the messages timestamped from then until the end of the backup, or the end of the log if that's not clear.
Post the log text, please, not a screenshot. If there are runs of repeated messages, post only one example of each. Don't post many repetitions of the same message.
When posting a log extract, be selective. Don't post more than is requested.
Please do not indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into a message.
Some personal information, such as the names of your files, may be included — edit that out, too, but don’t remove the context.

  • IMac freezes during TC backup

    Since a few days my iMac (newest version running Mountain Lion) freezes during TC backups. Since TC is set to backup every hour my computer freezes every hour - the MAC wheel pops up and keeps spinning.
    Once I abort the TC backup it takes about half a minute for iMac to become responsive again.
    Is there a solution for this problem - of course besides turning off TC and TM.
    Thanks

    The episode below started at 06.20.32 (it began when TC started backingup). I tried closing an application and launching Console - without success.
    At 06.23.11 I tried stopping the backup and shutting down TC (I think it shows first at 06.23.15).
    At 06.23.41 my iMac was responsive again.
    The info below only covers 06.23.04 till 06.23.45 (it seems way too much data and I don't know what's useful and what isn't).
    Thanks

  • Mini won't boot up from internal hard drive

    Greetings,
    I can't get my Mac Mini to boot from it's internal hard drive. It just gets stuck at the grey apple screen wth the spinning gear, nonstop. Booting in safe mode produced the same behavior (still wouldn't boot). DiskWarrior fixed some directory problems and found some corrupted microsoft office files which I deleted but it still won't boot. It boots fine off an external USB drive.
    I've tried disconnecting all peripherals except keyboard,  mouse, and monitor, resetting NVRAM/PRAM, and reinstalling the OS over the existing one (but not a clean install).
    Disk Utility and DiskWarrior both now say the boot drive is fine, but of course it still gets stuck at the grey boot screen.
    Booting in verbose mode it shows the following errors and then hangs:
    disk0s2: I/O error.

    Thanks!

    Failing in  /usr/libexec/configd makes me think some file like...
    /usr/standalone/bootcaches.plist
    /private/var/db/BootCache.playlist
    Is possibly corrupt.

  • Finding user details,messages present and total space consumed

    Hi,
    i have to find
    - the total number of users present in the ims server,
    - the total number of messages present
    - the total amount of disk space consumed by all messages.
    when iam executing the command "mboxutil -a" on solaris iam getting all the user details, and at the end only iam getting the required details, and iam getting 2 more extra lines, saying errors, how to correct it.
    $ mboxutil -a
    SUMMARY:
    Number of users: 22
    quota Usage
    ----------+-------------------------------------
    diskquota | 10485760 17897(k)
    msgquota | 10000 16943
    mboxutil: cannot get user data from ldap, error = 32
    mboxutil: cannot get domain quota from ldap, error = 32
    Is there any best way to find out the details what i mensioned in the beging.
    in the above output what are the last two lines showing ldap error = 32. can any body help me pls in correcting the error.
    Biswa

    You will want to look at the access log from your ldap server, to find out what is giving the err=32. That means, "object class violation", and usually means you're looking something up that doesn't exist.
    You may have an invalid user in your ldap, looking at the access log could help figure that out.

  • "undervolting" compatible With Atom Z530?

    So I discovered something that is supposed to lower the voltage margin used by the CPU in order to lower temperatures (and increase battery life) without sacrificing power (reliability is dipped a touch tho) Here
    Is it compatible with the Intel Atom Z530?

    Gosh what an extensive "something" err article.
    Long story short, don't use RMclock, its buggy, it has no support for .5 multipliers, lots of new CPU features are missing since the sortware if outdated.
    Instead use CrystalCPUid and the "intel enhanced speedstep control -> enable voltage change" option under the functions tab. Its a lot simpler and works a lot better. True, its missing the profile "thing" available in RMclock, which however doesn't work too well anyway.
    enjoy

  • Scan Image For Restore Question...

    So I made a backup image of my HD.
    After running "Scan Image For Restore" this is what showed up in console...
    Mar 16 17:15:38 localhost authexec: executing /usr/sbin/asr

    Mar 16 17:36:46 localhost kernel: jnl: writejournalheader: error writing the journal header!
    Does that look right?
    Obviously there was an error writing the journal header because it was read only correct? What about the "strategy err"? - Is that how the log's suppose to look after running "Scan Image For Restore"?
    Thanks in advance folks!

  • JSP and Sending User-entered information to MySQL Database

    I am trying to send user information to my database that I created in MySQL. I made a DB java class, which basically handles my connection to the database, which I know works since I also use it to log into my site.
    The problem is after I have entered my information that I want to add to one of my database tables, the site runs through, but never actually adds it to the database. It is probably my coding, but I'm not too sure.
    Also, I want to display the information from my database on my site. I'm new at this so any information on how to do that would be great.

    3: You are catching and ignoring any exceptions from running the SQL.
    4: You are constructing a SQL string rather than using a prepared statement properly.
    5: Your sql mentions three columns: type, name, quantity. You only supply type and name in the values section.
    try {
                con = DB.getDB();
                // using prepared statement properly with ? instead of creating string values.
                PreparedStatement st = con.prepareStatement("INSERT INTO items (i_type, i_name, i_quantity) values(?,?,?)");
                // what happens if these parameters are not present?
                String itemType = request.getParameter("itemType");
                String itemName = request.getParameter("itemName");
                st.setString(1, itemType);
                st.setString(2, itemName);
                st.setString(3, ?????????);
                st.execute();
    catch (Exception e) {
      // Log or handle the exception
      // this basic code write it to standard error
      // should appear in the console, or in a log file somewhere
      // helps a LOT when figuring out what is wrong
      System.err.println("Error occurred " + e.getMessage());
      e.printStackTrace();

  • Xmlparsercover fails to parse supplied family.xml

    I have downloaded the XML parser for PLSQL and installed it as
    per the instructions. However, when try to execute the supplied
    Domsample, providing the supplied family.xml, I get 'Error
    occurred while parsing' error, following by the full path name of
    the error file I have supplied.
    I have checked the installation carefully and have confirmed that
    I am passing in full file paths but to no avail.
    I have tried asimplied piece of PL/SQL, documented below, which
    as can be seen is falling over in the same way.
    What has been missed ?
    The error is coming back from the Java class that implements
    Xmlparsercover.parse so I cannot investigate any further as do
    not have the source.
    declare
    err varchar2(512);
    p xmlparser.parser;
    begin
    p := xmlparser.newparser;
    xmlparser.setvalidationmode(p,FALSE);
    xmlparser.seterrorlog(p,
    '/u06/home/dev22c/ghicks/xml_for_plsql/sample/error.txt');
    xmlparser.setbasedir(p,
    '/u06/home/dev22c/ghicks/xml_for_plsql/sample');
    xmlparsercover.parse(p.ID
    ,'/u06/home/dev22c/ghicks/xml_for_plsql/sample/family.xml'
    ,err);
    -- now print out the returned error
    dbms_output.put_line (err);
    end;
    On running the above file the following value is printed out
    for the contents of err :
    /u06/home/dev22c/ghicks/xml_for_plsql/sample/error.txt
    I can confirm that the directory called sample in which the
    file family.xml resides and to which the file error.txt is meant
    to be written has full privileges granted on it. The file
    error.txt does not exist prior to running the above and is not
    created by the above.
    Basically, I need someone in the Oracle XML team to look at the
    source code in Java and tell me under what circumstances the
    returned err code can be set to the full pathname of the error
    file. This may then give a further clue as to the problem.

    Hi All,
    When i transformed or parsed many XML Files of huge
    size...I am getting java.lang.OutOfMemory error for
    all the huge xml files. It is working fine for files
    which is of small size.Of course it is.

    I've 2GB ram in my system. I have also set heapsize for the JVM.
    -Xms512M -Xmx1800M (or) -Xms512M -Xmx1500MYou can't always get what you want. Your JVM is competing with all the other processes on your machine, including the OS, for RAM.
    I like to know what are the drawbacks of JDOM parser ?You just discovered it: all DOM parsers create an in-memory representation of the entire document. A SAX parser does not.
    What is the maximum size of the Xml which JDOM can parse ?The max amount of memory that you have available to you.
    I've read a long time before that parsers have
    certain limitations. Can anybody tell me the
    limitations of the parses?See above.
    Please help. i'm currently using jdom.jar to parse the xml files.You can try a SAX parser or a streaming parser. Maybe those can help.

  • Popup dialog restricted to parent area

    Hi
    I need a dialog to prompt the user with some data (text box, radio buttons...), but I want it to be relatively positioned to the component I used to trigger it and, most important, the dialog must be confined inside the area of my application.
    In this case I'm creating an applet, and both Popup and JDialog are "real" popups, and can be outside the area of my applet, which is not what I need. Putting a JDialog in place through positioning is not enough too, because the user may scroll the page, and I need the popup to remain in place inside the applet.
    In other words, what I need is much like a tooltip, but with more than just text.
    Any help is appreciated!
    Thanks!

    You're welcome.
    I didn't knew about JTabbedPane, but that's exactly what I need. ;-)Err... that's JOptionPane :o)
    And, by a look at the API or in the relevant [tutorial chapter|http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/uiswing/components/dialog.html#features] , you'll find out that a JOptionPane instantiated through its constructor, although it provides a reasonable dialog form, will miss a title. To show the title, you'd have to use either of the JOptionPane.showXXX() methods, or a JOPtionPane instance method createDialog(). Both ways turn out creating a regular JDialog, whose location can be dragged outside of the parent area.
    So, if the dialog title is not a requirement, you can use my suggestion straight.
    Otherwise, you'll have to consider additional coding; a quick list of suggestions:
    1) add a title manually. It may be hard to provide a title that looks exactly like a regular JDialog's title, but as a strating point you can provide your own "title-like" Border (N.B.: the default TitledBorder does definitely not look like a dialog's title).
    2) consider using JInternalFrames and dialogs. That however forces a, possibly contrieved, structuring of your UI, where your current applet's content panel should be located instead in a single JInternalFrame of a JDesktopPane, itself becoming the applet's contentPane. The dialog would then be shown via a myJOptionPane.createInternalFrame(). However, I am unsure about the modality of the internal "dialog" in this case.

  • How do I not get rmi.UnmarshalException: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException:?

    Hello,
    I'm not able to run the RMI example code provided by the sun tutorial. When I attempt running ComputeEngine in Eclipse I get:
    ComputeEngine exception:
    java.rmi.ServerException: RemoteException occurred in server thread; nested exception is:
         java.rmi.UnmarshalException: error unmarshalling arguments; nested exception is:
         java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: compute.Compute
    The code may be found on http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/rmi/running.html
    I've only removed the code concerned with security. I run the registry in the terminal, before trying to execute. I recall it had worked with me yesterday, but today presenting it not.

    The RMI Registry can't find the class(es) in question on its CLASSPATH. So what to do?Err, make sure the RMI Registry can find the class(es) in question on its CLASSPATH?
    For example, specify -J-classpath when starting the RMI Registry. Or start it in the root directory of your .class package structure. Or start it withing the server JVM via LocateRegistry.createRegistry(). Or use the codebase feature.

  • Using %S Format Specifier

    I'm trying to store a null terminated string unicode string into a NSString using initWithFormat, but the string format specifier for 16-bit unicode characters isn't quite working as I expected.
    My code is something like this:
    NSString *nsTmp = [[NSString alloc] initWithFormat:@"Unicode string[%S]", L"Hello"];
    When I print out nsTmp contents, the output is:
    Unicode string[H]
    Thanks for any help in advance.

    Please note the alert/sticky/msg. right at the top of this forum when you come in...it will show you how to properly format your code so it doesn't get mangled by the backend, thus allowing others to take shots at seeing what you've borked, err...sorry... I mean...constructed
