What is a different between Satellite and Equium A100-306

This is general question really but as the end result may be the A100-306 I have placed it here. Could anyone explain why two laptops which look identical and have similar features are called either Satellite or Equium. I have a A100-583 now and thinking of getting a second laptop. I see the Equium has similar features, although has core 2 duo and media centre. However I see other Toshibas similar under the name Satellite. What dictates the naming?
Question 2 relates to the chips. What is the relevance of the number after the chip, in this case T5500. Trying to find the answer is not easy for me at least. Some models do not even appear on the intel site at all now. On another forum I have seen someone describe it like this.
"The Core 2 Duo T5500 is a bottom of the range core 2 duo, which is dual celeron core, so dont expect too much from it".
Are they right?
Any help in explaining the above appreciated

Hello
I am not 100% sure but Equium and Satellite notebooks are actually the same notebooks but Equium is the name for UK market. Thats all! If the hardware configuration is the right one it is not important how the notebook description is.
About processor I can not tell you much but everything you need you will find under http://www.intel.com/cd/channel/reseller/asmo-na/eng/products/mobile/processors/index.htm
I dont know why some people write dont expect too much from it. I am sure you will be very satisfied with notebook performance and if you need more of it you can expand RAM anytime. After doing this the notebook will run definitely faster as before.

  • What is the different between component and component type in extract struc

    Hi All,
What is the different between component and component type in the Extract Structure?
I used them, but I never really know the different between them yet.
    Thanks,
    Grace

The difference between Component and Component Type are:
Component This is essentially the field name in the extraction structure. These can either be SAP delivered field names or custom field names (e.g. Y* or Z*).
Component Type This defines the data definition for the field, along with associated attrributes and descriptions for anything using that Component Type, to define the corresponding Component. If you double-click on any Component Type in an extraction structure, it will show you the definitions that have been setup for that Component Type (will display as Data Element but it's essentially synonymous - Component Type refers to structures and Data Elements refer to tables).

  • What's the different between cc and cs6?  I'm taking a course and cs6 is recommended, but I already have cc, will that be good enough?

What's the different between cc and cs6?  I'm taking a course and cs6 is recommended, but I already have cc, will that be good enough?

When I'm away from the desk, I never get the exact wording
"Find new Apps > Filters and versions > select Previous Version"
Then where you see the Install button next to Photoshop below that, click on that and you can select 13.0 CS6 for install.
It's a good idea. CC 2014 has eliminated and added many features, and you want to be on the same page in that course.

  • What is the different between old and new succession planning?

    Hi
I have worked a lot on succession planning in 4.6c. In ECC 6.0, the succession planning has shifted to e-recruitment section.
    1. What is the difference between succession planning in 4.6C and ECC 6.0
    2. Can I still use the old succession planning in ECC 6.0
    3. Is there a requirement to transfer data from old succession planning to new succession planning if we move to ECC 6.0?
    Thanks

  • What is the different between  BW and R/3

    my question is:
What is the mainly responsibility for ABAPer in a BW implementation project, just as in R/3 implementation project, the mainly responsibility for ABAPer may include data migration, interface, report, document development, uesr exit and enhancement and so on?
I think ABAPer can use ABAP code for routines, customer exist variables in reporting, enhancement in extraction, transfer rules and update rules in BW, and besides that, are there others responsibilities?
    Thanks in advance!

    Hello,
rsa7 shows the delta queue of a system with its datasource and the records of the delta to be sent by that datasource.
So in r/3 rsa7 will show all the datasources that exist in r/3 and are to be sent to any other system with its delta records inside (sent to BW).
In BW rsa7 will show all the datasources that exist in BW and are to be sent to antother BW system or sent to any destination inside the same BW system.

  • What's the different between ON_DEMAND and INCOMING_ONLY?

The documentation says: "For ON_DEMAND, the local domain gateway continually advertises services imported from a remote domain." and "For INCOMING_ONLY, the local domain gateway advertises services imported from a remote domain when the gateway receives an incoming connection or when a dmadmin connect command is issued."
I tried setting 2 domains: Domain 1 imports service TOLOWER from Domain 2 with ON_DEMAND connection policy. Domain 2 imports service TOUPPER from Domain 1 with INCOMING_ONLY connection policy.
    When I try:
    tmadmin
    psc
I see TOLOWER as AVAIL in domain 1 and TOUPPER as AVAIL in domain 2 so I see no difference. I though I shouldn't see the TOUPPER service advertised in domain 2 but it's there so how does it really works?

    Hi,
Did you check if the connection was up between the domains?  Regardless of the state of the connection, the domain gateway in domain 1 will advertise TOLOWER and if no connection is up when the service is called, the domain gateway will try to establish the connection.  If the connection succeeds, then the call will complete, otherwise the call will fail, but the service will still be advertised.  On domain 2, TOUPPER should only be advertised by the domain gateway if the connection is up.  You can use dmadmin to check the state of the connections, as well as manually try to connect or disconnect the connections.

  • What is the different between WPUMFactory and UMFactory?

Sorry but i am new in sap portals world and i need some help, somebody can help me?

    Hello Josean,
UMFactory is a factory class using which you can play around with the IUser interface...at UME level. Example - extracting the User Profile details, the user groups, mapped systems, etc.
As far as what I read, WPUMFactory is a class used to extract details of an user related to KM, like adding permissions to an user at a Km resource level, etc

  • What is the different between Aperture and Photoshop

Are these comparable programs? Can I do everything in Aperture I can do in Photoshop? I am trying to decide whether of get Aperture 3 now or await PS CS5/
    TIA,
    Bill

    Bill,
Both previous posters to your question have more experience than I with Aperture, so I won't comment a lot on that one (although I really like Aperture because it can be a one stop shop for the casual photographer who just wants to get the best shots organized, touched-up and perhaps posted to a web site or printed in a book or to paper).
I am not positive of how the adjustment brushes really work (but they seem to utilize 'masking' - something found and used in PS a great deal for artistic reasons). This would be a similarity, although Aperture appears to do masking on the fly while the user applies brushed in edits, where Photoshop is (in many cases) a manual mask created on a layer above the image (this takes more time but offers a bit more control).
I can tell you a few things about Photoshop:
1 - You would use 'Bridge' to ingest and organize your image files (this is not nearly as competent as Aperture for organization, but it will work well for someone organizing, keywording and rating up to a few hundred images per folder).
2 - You would be using the 'Adobe Camera Raw' plug-in to veiw and edit any RAW files you plan to work with in your photography (it is also capable of working with .jpg and .tiff files). All work done inside this plug-in is 'non-destructive' and is not applied to anything but the preview until you save it out as a supported image file type (Aperture does the same).
3 - Photoshop allows editing above and beyond the RAW edits due to layers and the ability to manipulate pixels on each layer. It also has all the tools you might need to create graphics from scratch with pen tools, brushes, text tool, etc.
So in summation, your RAW workflow in PS would be 'Bridge > Adobe Camera Raw > Photoshop', compared to Aperture's 'all-in'one' RAW workflow design.
I can't say a lot due to NDA, but we are now allowed to confirm PS CS5 and I can say that the beta performs at least as well as the current release of PS CS4 on my Mac Pro.
You might use the trial of Aperture to get a feel for the program and then (assuming there will be a trial version of PS CS5 released soon after full release) - you could try that for 30 days and make a decision.
Good luck with whatever decision you make.
    Peace.

  • What is the different between Sharepoint fast search service and Sql server fulltext search?

    HI ,
I want to kow what is the different between Sharepoint fast search service and Sql server fulltext search?
Or Can I abstract the Sharepoint fast search from the Sharepoint platform as a isolate component?
    Thank you.
    James

They are very, very different beasts.
Firstly FAST Search for SharePoint is the old name for the product and is only relevant for SharePoint 2010 not 2013. It got merged into the standard SharePoint search for the 2013 release.
SharePoint search is aimed at providing a Bing or Google like experience for your intranet content, as well as providing some nifty features that are purely SharePoint releated along the way. That means it can crawl SharePoint content, file shares,
outlook mailboxes, internal and external websites and probably fifty other different things if you really tried. Whilst i'm not an expert on SQL full text search I believe it's intended to provide a search feature for content held within SQL databases
    and tables.
Can you run SharePoint purely for Search? Yes, definitely.

  • What is different between Analytics and VC Forum?

    Hi Experts!
I don't know what is different between Analytics and VC forum in SDN. of course, Analytics is not Visual composer.
But, I guess that most of analytics questions will be related to Visual Composer in this Analytics Forum.
    How about your opinion?

    Hi Young
Analytics is business process oriented and thus it's domain is BPX hence it is placed under forum for BPX(Business Process Expert).
VC is a tool and it is in technology domain.
First we discuss a scernario based on particular business process. Then we prepare detailed level of analysis-reporting and actionable analytics this business process would need. Then we use tools like VC to accomplish this actionable analytics.
    Hope this helps

  • What's Different Between ODI and FDQM ?

I need to know What's Different Between ODI and FDQM ?

At is simplest ODI is an enterprise scale ELT tool that can cope with moving very large amounts of data bwteen heteregeneous systems. It requires a fair degree of technical knowledge to use well and that the user is pretty competent with SQL. It is not really an end user tool and the jobs tend to be lights out scheduled processes with a limited user interface for executing these jobs. FDQM is more of a data quaility tool which gives the average end user the out of the box functionality to be able to transform and load data into various target systems. It is not designed to move very large amounts of data efficiently i.e. multi millions of lines of data like ODI. However it does have a rich user interface that provides an easy to use mapping engine, a repeatbale controlled data load process and has a host of in built reporting and audit features which would have to be built from scratch in a tool like ODI
