What is a good exe.file that is not corrupt when trying to download firefox 3.6.

Windows 7 / ( Internet Exporer ) supports dial up but with my service provider there is a ( fast-dial-up) available. This is not supported by Windows 7 and Internet Exporer. That is why I need Firefox. I go to www.mozilla.com , then click the 3.6 firefox download, then click another download until a popup happens which asks to run or save the file and I click Run as per the instructions. I have had 3 different exe. files which seem to manage the download but so far every one has been determined to be corrupt by my computer and the extraction has failed. Can someone give me a exe. file from which I can download which is not corrupt.??
Also any suggestions on how to get fast dial-up with Windows 7 with Internet Explorer would be very appreciated.

1. "Fast dialup" ''(usually called a "Web Accelerator")'' is a feature normally provided by your ISP. They need to make it compatible with Windows7, not the other way around. That "fast dialup" also may need to be compatible with specific browsers via a plugin or extension for the browser. <br />
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Web_accelerator
2. As far as a corrupt Firefox installer .exe, try disabling your anti-virus application for only as long as it takes to download Firefox.
I seriously doubt that Firefox on Windows7 is going to work with that "fast dialup" if your ISP doesn't support Windows7 to begin with.

  • When trying to download Firefox 3.6, just before finishing I get a message that says the file is corrupted and won't let me knownload

I'm trying to download firefox 3.6 and get a message saying the file is corrupted, or doesn't have authentication. What's up?

    Hi,
I think there are some internet problems. If you use a (wireless)-router, maybe a reset will work. You can reset the router by pressing a button on the router itself. Try again downloading firefox.
If this doesn't work, download firefox from another computer and safe it on a USB flash drive.
    Kind regards,

If apps are popping up that need an update and it is the "friend's" Apple ID, those are apps that he downloaded to your iPad.
Anyway...Settings>iTunes & App Stores>Apple ID>Tap the ID and sign out. Sign in with your ID.

Some courseware is distributed as self-executing files (exe files) which will only work under windows.

  • "You have included content in your post that is not permitted" when trying to post very positive feedback about Apple.

So I spent 2 hours writing a huge post about how I love what Apple has done with the Audio/MIDI/Sound config tools in OSX.
I spent alot of time trying to be positive.  And i get to the end and click "Post" - this stops me and gives me the following vague message:
"You have included content in your post that is not permitted."
I am not sure what this means or why it appeared.  I used no negative content in my post, no cursing or trolling or anything... And i wouldn't try to troll or flame on these forums anyways.  I've posted some problems I've had, which were all addressed very quickly by the way.  And I've always said what I thought, but never just posted things to be negative.
And then after my post is rejected, i tried again.  The discussion forums offered to restore my previous draft, but I clicked yes and nothing happened.  Then the entire Discussions site pretty much stopped functioning... I tried closing reopening Chrome.  I tried a completely new session in Chrome Incognito.  I tried using Safari.  None worked.
I was then offered a survey to take.  I clicked "yes", and nothing happened.  Then I looked at the Javascript Link for the survey and used the Chrome console to send the javascript anyways.  And then it said the survey was behind my browser (it wasn't) and there was an "X" button to close the yellow notification at the top of the page.  Then restarted my computer and it's finally working, but my post is still being rejected, which is ridiculous.
Anyways, went through alot to say something positive.  That is the exact thing that gets to me though, it's the censorship.  Why am I not allowed to say something good?  Hopefully this one goes through...

I don't believe I'm circumventing any DRM/Copyright.  I'm currently enrolled in a Harvard eDx Copyright Law class. As long as you are original and offer a minimum of creativity, you are eligable for a copyright, without any need for registration.  But that's besides the point.  I can see how it may have flagged the post though.
Ultimately, what I was trying to do at the time is play music using software that I own and stream this in online video.  But the comment about streaming my personal music online is just an example of something awesome I can do with an Apple product.
Thanks for the link to the feedback page though.  I'll go ahead and send it in.

  • When trying to download Firefox 7, I receive the error message "Firefox Setup 7.0.1.exe contained a virus and was deleted". I tried to disable my sercuity software (ESET) and have Windows Defender shut off, but still receive this message.

I just got a new computer and am preparing my old computer to give to my nephew. The old machine runs system 7 and was running FF 7.0.1. I completely removed Firefox to erase all of my data. When I tried to reinstall Firefox, I began getting this error message.

I have tried shutting down my anti-virus software, to include Windows Defender, but it didn't help. I am running the AVG free anti-virus.
But you still got the message? If so, you didn't get everything shut down. Something has to be giving you that message.
More than likely, it's a false-positive. Happens quite a bit with updates when the AV companies haven't caught up with their definitions.
If you didn't get the message after disabling all your AV stuff, what DID happen?

  • When trying to download firefox I get a message that says can't download/ connection reset

I ran into some malware over the weekend. Did a system restoration. I've tried several times to download firefox. Each time it runs for a minute or two and then I get a message that says can't download; connection was reset.

You get that message any time you download an executable file. It is safe to open as long as you download from http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/
