What is a max amount of ram hp pavilion TX 2000 support
system Vista 64 bit, and what specification should i ask for if i want to upgrde it?
Hi:
The maximum memory you can install in your PC is 4 GB arranged as 2 x 2GB PC2-6400 memory modules.
Specs on the memory should be:
Module Size: 2GB
Package: 200-pin SODIMM
Feature: DDR2 PC2-6400
Specs: DDR2 PC2-6400 • CL=6 • Unbuffered • NON-ECC • DDR2-800 • 1.8V • 256Meg x 64 •
NON-ECC/Non-parity— Most desktop and laptop computers take NON-ECC or Non-parity memory.
ECC/Parity— ECC or parity modules look for errors in data and are most often found in servers and other mission-critical applications used by large networks and businesses.
Unbuffered— Most PCs and workstations use unbuffered memory which is faster than registered memory.
Registered/Buffered— Registered or buffered modules delay all information transferred to the module by one clock cycle. This type of memory is primarily used in servers.
Fully buffered— Designed for next-generation servers, features an advanced memory buffer.
CL— CAS (column address strobe) latency, which is the number of clock cycles it takes before data starts to flow after a command is received. Lower CL is faster. Modules with different CL can be mixed on a system, but the system will only run at the highest (slowest) CL.
Component configuration— (For example: 256Meg x 64) Indicates the size of the memory chip components on the module.
Voltage — For example: 1.8V. Indicates the power used by the module.

What is the max amount of RAM I can install in my MacBook Pro? Does having Snow Leopard raise the RAM limit?

In general, for best performance, it's best to match up the same size modules in each slot (2x2 in this case). However, given that it's only going to read 3GB, I'm not sure if that holds true here. -
What is the max amount of ram, which the hp g72 b15sa laptop can support?
On the hp website it says 4GB max, 2GB per slot. But on a review about this laptop, it says the hp g72 b15sa can support 8GB max, 4GB per slot. Which one is correct?
laptop make and model: Hp G72 B15SA
operating system: Windows 7 64bit

Supports up to 8 GB of system memory √ √
Supports the following configurations:
● 4096 MB (2048 MB × 2) √ √
● 3072 MB (1024 MB × 1 + 2048 MB × 1) √ √
● 2048 MB (2048 MB × 1) √ √

The checkmarks are for the discrete graphics and UMA graphics model (which you have), so yours can take 8 gigs. HP just does not sell the G72 in any version with 8 gigs. At the low prices I have seen recently I can think of no excuse not to install 8 gigs. Just do not expect a lot of noticeable difference over 4 gigs. -

What is the maximum amount of RAM I can install in a late 2011 Macbook Pro 17"?
What is the maximum amount of RAM I can install and will be suported in a late 2011 Macbook Pro 17"?
Thank you,

Although Apple states a maximum of 8 GB, OWC (macsales.com) has tested 16 GB, so if you want to install 16 GB, I'd go with OWC as they tested it and do guarantee their RAM to work with Macs. -
What is the maximum amount of RAM allowed for a HP Pavilion dv6-7010eo?
Wanting to upgrade the RAM in our Pavilion dv6-7010eo running Window 7 (64 bit).
Have read some conflicting information.. Some say that this model supports 16GB (2x8GB) whereas other say that it only supports 8GB (2x4GB)...
What is correct? 8GB or 16GB?Every place I can find information about your actual laptop dv6-7010eo, not 7010us, it says 8 gb max.

What is the MAX amount of DATA for JDBC?
Hello,
Did anybody had any expericence with how jdbc works with large amount of data SAY
> 1/2 GIG or more?
Any help apprecieated
Thanks.
PaulAlways depends on the driver implementation. Each
driver/database combination deals with massiveamounts
of data in a single transaction differently. Canyou
be more specific? In general Most Drivers of
commercial grade quality and/or shipped with the
top
5
RDBMS have pretty solid implementations limitedsoley
by network bandwidth to carry this info. A good
developer however will not rely on the driver to
manage this much info and will develop a scheme
to
minimize the impact of such large data transferson
an
unsuspecting database or client.
LThis is what I thought. I just need moreinformation
if for example I have a JAVA process which feedsdata
from RDMBS and the amount of data the processreceives
SAY 2GIG My guess this all get in "ResultSet"object
and thus all feeds in VM( memory) so I have to
designing my process SUCH that it takes only asmall
sample of data and iterate this until I get all the
information from my query. Ex.
select * from test where data between 1 and 2000000;I
have to brake this down by "DAYS"
so my code will be something like
for (int i=0 ;i<2000000 ;i++) {
String select=null;
select="select * from test where data="+i+;
do( something else)
Am I close far? Is there another way that may beJDBC
driver handless this behind scenes?
Well personally I think you should be structuring your
SQL better than that. Making 2000000 calls over a
network in a for loop is suicidal..and lets not forget
how something like that will block your application.
First you can do something like "select * from test
where data <= 2000000" in one shot. Now you get the
whole set and you can scroll through and do your
operation ( of course this is slow too, but its much
better than running the query 2000000 times ).
the other thing you have to consider is : is it
necessary to really block during an operation like
this? Can it be done in another thread? a daemon
process even? Some service which can be polled for
results when needed?
This is a tricky example and I'd be interested to know
more about what you are trying to do.
When you were talking about large data I was under the
impression of something like a blob, clob, or any sort
of single query with 2gb of data in the result.
Can you break up your query? Doing things in batch in
an alternative thread can yield to other processes
perhaps?
Loh, and also: Can the Database itself take care of this business? Stored Procedures and Internal Functions are all built to handle massive amounts of data with minimal impact. Can you leverage the technology within the Database to accomplish your goal? Sometimes a well written procedure can save you tons of work in your business logic tier.
The right tools for the right job..

What is the maximum amount of ram I can upgrade to?
I've tried looking into this but I guess i'm not very good at finding things sadly.
My notebook is a "hp pavilion dv6-6b26sa"
I currently have 6gb RAM and Windows 7 OS
Thanks, all help appreciated.

View Solution.Hi,
8GB is the max as mentioned in the following link:
http://www.crucial.com/uk/upgrade/HP+-+Compaq-memory/Pavilion+DV6+Series/Pavilion+dv6-6b26sa-upgrade...
You can swap 2GB for 4GB to make 8GB or swap both or just stick with 6GB unless you want to run virtual machine(s).
Regards.

How to find out the amount of ram a computer can hold
I want to know how to find out what is the max amount of ram my computer can actually take advantage of, rather than tell you my model and you tell me what is the max because I know it varies according to the model of the Computer
But if you'd like to help the other way, here is my model: Macbook(13-inch, Mid 2010 [unibody]) basically the latest version of the white macbook.Pointdexter11 wrote:
simple version: what algorithms do they use to figure out the max is 8GB
That is not a simple question. I don't think anyone here knows the exact testing process that Apple uses to determine what the max ram will be at the time of release. This is done during the development process. -
What is the mximum ram which logic 8.02 supports
hi this is kamal from hyderabad INDIA.I`am using Logic 8.02 on intel mac dual core*2 2.66 Ghz. please do anyone inform me that what is the highest amount of ram which logic 8.02 supports.
hi kamal,
logic itself won't access more than 3.7 Gb at a time, but the application and the plugs don't really need that much, even on really big projects. the only exception to this is apple loops which for technical reasons have to be stored in RAM.
the only reason you may be interest in RAM for logic (more than the 3.7 Gb limit) is if you are running big orchestral libraries. if you have more than 5 Gb of RAM installed, the EXS will be able to access that physical RAM outside of logics memory space. that means you can have 4Gb (well at least 3.7) of samples loaded per instance of EXS. vienna instruments and the new PLAY fro EWQLSO can do the same thing.
the other alternative is to run your sample libraries as standalone applications outside of logic. but we really are talking about very big libraries now. if you have a big library you want to run, and it is on the exs, then you can install more than 5Gb and you whould be very happy.
native instruments DFD will allow you to decide how much of the library is streamed and how much is loaded into RAM. that is a good way of optimizing as well. -

I am looking to upgrade my mackbook pro and was wondering what's the highest amount of ram and maximum amount of hard drive space i can get.
also whats a good brand i should use for both ram and hard drive.I like Hitachi (HGST) and have 6 of them in my inventory. I never had any WD drives and there are some who do not speak well of them who's opinions I respect.
I also have many Seagate HDDs and currently have 1 TB Seagate SSHDs in my MBPs. They are performing satisfactorily.
