What network adaptors support 802.11ac?

I want to purchase the new airport/time capsule mainly for it's 802.11ac capabilities. I have a mid-2009 macbook pro.
Wondering what network adaptors are out there that I can plug into my usb that can support 802.11ac? I found some but they only support Windows.

Newer AC wireless would need to support USB 3 standard but of course that is not available.

You only have one port that is near capable (actually more than capable if real numbers are used) and that is ethernet. So the best device for you is a second Airport Extreme working as bridge or extend wireless in apple terminology.. really it is not such a bad option since the cost of AC usb 3.0 will be over $100 anyway.

in oracle RAC each node must have a minimum of 3 adaptors. one for private interconnect, one for public interconnect and one for serving the user requests (VIP).
1. also in oracle 11g with the introduction of SCAN. do we have to add a new network adaptor to make use of scan or can the network adaptor using the VIP address can be used for SCAN. if SCAN requires a new adaptor then it makes 4 n/w adaptors needed for each node,
2. Oracle documentation says that SCAN can be resolved to at most 3 network addresses. what happens if we have a RAC with more than 3 nodes.
3. How does this SCAN really work. it says that scan be used as a single IP address instead of defining several ip address in the tnsnames.ora file at the client side.
4. moreover the these SCAN ip Addresses are assigned by the DNS. i dont understand how can more than 2 system share a same ip address.
can any one help me understand these concepts please...

I am not sure that you need a separate adaptor for it since its also going to be a public IP.

One can be used as well. 3 is the suggested setting for the setup. I believe for nodes more than 3 too, this would work. I have not installed 11.2 RAC for more than 3 nodes yet so can't be sure .

There is nothing like single IP address.SCAN is Single Cluster Access Name which means instead of putting VIPs in the client side tnsnames.ora, you are going to put just a SCAN cluster name whose VIP address resolutio is going to be done with the help of your DNS . Please read the documentation which explains the concept in lot more detail.

My wireless adapter is not showing in my device manager under network adaptors

I have a Pavilion, model p6210f with Windows 7
I have used it for 2 years with an ethernet cable and now I need it to go wireless, however, no wireless adpater is showing in the device manager under network adaptors, only showing the LAN.
Checking the specifications for this model at the hp website, it should have a 56K Win Modem.
Don't know what to do except go buy a USB Wireless adaptor, any ideas?
Called tech support, but I was given no assistance.

The PC does not come with wireless networking capability - only a wired ethernet adapter and a dial up modem.
The easiest thing to do is to purchase and external USB wireless network adapter.
Below is a link which will give you plenty of choices to consider. Look at the reviews and buy one that best suits your needs. You will of course, also need a wireless networking router.

THE NETWORK ADAPTOR COULD NOT ESTABLISH THE CONNECTION error, pls help me

I download sql developer and when i want to add a new connection and fiil in the blacnks than i click test button i got the "THE NETWORK ADAPTOR COULD NOT ESTABLISH THE CONNECTION" ERROR , what should i do?
should i download 10g or 11g to use sql developer????

Without knowing what exactly you entered, I would guess that what you filled in wasn't exactly correct. Do you have an Oracle client already installed on your computer? If so, verify that what you filled in on the new connection matches the information for that DB in your TNSNAMES file (tnsping will report the server and port if you can't find the TNSNAMES file).

Using multiple network adaptors

i have a network of macs and pc's, and i want to set it up so i have my macs able to access the net, but not the windows machines. the pc's are just fileservers which don't need access to anything other than eachother and the macs. all machines are connected to eachother by a switch, the macs also connect with their airport adaptors to an adsl router.
if i put airport at the top of the network adaptors list to prioritise it, i can't access anything over built in ethernet. if i put built in ethernet to the top, i can't access the net. i assume its because both 'work' so it doesn't move down the list to the next adaptor. i really need to get it working so the macs will try to route over both network adaptors, so whether i'm using the internet or browsing the local network, either one or the other will make it work.
i'd appreciate any advice. i am running 10.4 client and 10.4 server on the 2 macs. thanks.

yes, you're still going through the router so the wired and the wireless adapters (yes i just noticed i'd been spelling adapters wrong, oh well) are both connecting to the same thing so pinging/GOing to both ip's will work. for me my airport is connecting to a router, and my ethernet to a switch. it doesn't work because they are connecting to 2 different networks.

you can connect to another wireless network yes but just getting onto another wireless network in itself isn't the problem, it depends if you can browse the other network or not, thats the trick. if you can while still connecting to the net through ethernet then thats what i need to be able to do. if you can, please let me know.

The Network Adaptor could not establish the connection while deploying

Hi All,
I am using oracle db 9.2.0.7 and OWB 9.2.0.4. When I am trying to deploy the object on remote database using owb deployment manager, it is failing to deploy object and giving an error "The Network Adaptor Could Not establish connection."
When I am trying to connect using SQL+, it is connecting as well as I can create the objects and all but the same thing I am trying to do using OWB, it is giving me an error.
What I understand is if there is something wrong with the tnsnames or listner, then it should give an error with sql+ as well. I have also check the c:\windows\system32\driver\etc\hosts which includes the ipaddress and host name.
Please help.

Hi,
are You using 2 different Oracle Homes (one for OWB and one with main Oracle software)
If so, may be that the TNSNAMES.ORA in the OWB Oracle Home is not correctly configured.
Please check or clarify that

Lenovo g570 network adaptor not found (for wifi and blue tooth)

my lenovo g570 laptop does not found network adaptor for wifi and blue tooth it did not recognize the hardware part may be. because i install software for that so may time. few days back i used wifi as well as bluetooth in my lapi but for last two or three month i just used lan for internet connection and in between i chanded my os wihich is win 7 ultimate to win 7 proff. i dont know what is the reason for that.
please troubleshoot this so that my lapi can detact network adaptors for wifi and blue thooth.

Wireless network adaptor not working

My wireless network stopped working, and the wireless network adaptor is not showing in the device manger. The keyboard indicator indicated wifi disabled (f12). Pushing then button does nothing. It was working fine earlier in the day. The only change made was an adjustment to text size which required a restart to take affect. The wireless adaptor did not work on the restart. Not sure what to try next to get it working again. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks,

With two routers you'd have to put one of them into bridge mode. If the linksys is the second router then change its IP from 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.2.1
You'll still have WPA issues with this configuration because the linksys really is not setup to handle bridge mode very well.

KT6v integrated network adaptor not been seen by OS

Just got a new board.. a KT6v with the integrated network adaptor. FOr some reason windows XP isnt seeing the Network adaptor. When i plug the network cable into the rj45 jack it lights up. Dont know what to do, XP not even seeing it as an unknow device. Any pointers will be great.

In the Bios settings i dont see any setting for the nick... maybe after i get windows to install properly i would do a bios update...
and another thing is.. i cant seem to install windows when i have the fsb as 166 mhz to detect my 2600 XP processor... it will only install when i have it set as 133 mhz or 100mhz .. any ideas y ?

What is the ETHERNET ADAPTOR?

I have switched to running my internet desktop Intel iMac with wireless. I was using an ethernet cable. That cable is now disconnected and it shows up in the network preference as disconnected. However in the network preference the "ethernet adaptor (en2)" shows active. What is the ethernet adaptor, why is it active and what does it do? Thanks.

Are you running parallels or the equivalent because that creates virtual network devices to trick windows into sharing the network with OS X.

Wi-Fi network adaptor not available on my Equium A300D

Hope u can help; I currently have the Toshiba Equium A300D laptop. It got a virus and corrupted 1 of my hard drives, which I now cant use, however I installed the operating system on my other hard drive, everything was fine until I tried 2 connect 2 the internet, windows diagnosed the problem and said it couldnt find the network adaptor for my Wi-Fi.
Can anybody give me some help in resolving this issue?

Is WLAN card recognized and installed properly?
What is the status in device manager?
If everything is OK there I presume WLAN card is not enabled properly. At first move WLAN switch to ON position and then use FN+F8 combination to enable WLAN card.

SCCM remote control keeps dropping out when another network adaptor loses connection

Hopefully someone will be able to help me out
at work, we are running SCCM 2012, and I use SCCM 2012 config manager to manage the clients etc
We have a particularly annoying issue with SCCM remote control; it constantly drops out when a network connection on the client machine disconnects or changes state, even if its not interface I'm remote controlling through
Here's an example for you:
a laptop with a wired, and wireless connection:
I remote control the machine through the wired network address (lets say 192.168.0.1), but if the wireless connection drops out (someone turns it off or it breaks) the remote control client will kick me off, lock the screen, and I have to wait 20-30 seconds
before it will accept my connection again
This happens with any network adaptor that's installed on the client

(I've edited it to take out usernames and IP addresses as they are publicly accessible)
So my question, does any one know how to fix this issue? I see it uses WMI, is there anyway to get WMI to ignore an interface?

This is going to be done by design for security reasons. If the network connect for whatever reason is down the pc will automatically be locked.
