What is a Preview in Document

I keep seeing this option (in preferences and when saving an older iWork file). I've also notced that it is in all three iWork apps (not just pages). What does it do? How does it work? Should I use it?

I turned it on, but I don't see any difference in files in the Finder. I think it could have something to do with QuickLook in Leopard.

  • What is the difference between document class and normal class

    Hi,
Please let me know what is the difference between document class and normal class.
And I have no idea which class should call as document class or call as an object.

the document class is invoked immediately when your swf opens.  the document class must subclass the sprite or movieclip class.
all other classes are invoked explicitly with code and need not subclass any other class.

  • Print Preview of 'Document' attached to a PR/PO, Sale Order line item

Is there a BADI/BAPI involved in 'Print Preview of Document attached to a PR/PO, Sale Order line item'. When I select a line item in PO for which a DIR is attached, it doesn't display the files content in the Print Preview.
Q:) Is the system supposed to display the 'Original file' content attached to a DIR in the Print Preview Or is this the standard behavior that system won't display attached DIR - file content.
    Please advise.
    -Thanks

    Hi,
unfortunately I have to inform you that from DMS point of view such a 'file preview' function is not available in the standard of the R/3 system.
If you want to raise a development request at SAP please see the SAP note 11 for further information.

  • I updated to Lion. Now when I preview a document, there is no Save As button, it is either Save a version or duplicate. How do I get back my Save As button?

I updated to Lion. Now when I preview a document that I have in Downloads or Documents and I want to Save As, when I go to File, instead of Save As, I now have Save Version, then when I click on that it says the document is locked, do I want to unlock or duplicate? How do I get back to just plain ole Save As?
I have no idea why the document would be locked. Help, please.

Here is a normal Save menu in TextEdit, for example:
Now with that menu visible in TextEdit simply press down the OPTION key and a Save As option should appear just below the Save option in the menu.
Now, I may have forgotten since it's been a while, but that may not work in Lion. So either you upgrade, if possible, to Mountain Lion or Yosemite or:
Select the Duplicate option which will open a new copy of your document. You may then Save that copy. When you do you will be asked to provided a new document name. This would replace Save As.

    Hi John,
Please check the following areas to check if the grouping is because of the following :-
    1. In FBZP, check Paying Company Codes tab, there is a tick for 'Separate payment for each payment reference' which groups the payments. This indicator means that only invoices and credit memos which have the same payment reference can be settled with one payment.
    2. In FBZP in the tab Payment methods for Company code, there is a section for grouping of items. Check what is configured in your system.
    3. In vendor master, in Payment Transactions tab in Company code data, there is a field for 'Grouping Key' check that too if it makes some sense in the items that are showing grouped together in the proposal list in F110.

  • What is this "Store business document" option in SAP/PO

    Hi
please let me know what is this "Store business document" option in PO -> services for object -> Create -> Store business document?
    Thanks
    Raju

    Hi Raju
Create Business Object is used to Attaching a PC Document to an Object and Storing, and you can append documents, which have a connection to an object, from your PC to the object and at the same time store it in an optical archive.
    Prerequisites
This function is only then active if an optical archive is connected to the SAP System. The document type (format template, for example FIINVOICE) and document class (for example DOC or FAX) of the document that you want to store must be known.
    Procedure
In the Toolbox of the object services, choose .
    Choose Store business document.
Expand the node of the document class that corresponds to your document.
Choose the document type that corresponds with your document by double-clicking on it.
Enter the path and file name of your document in the following dialog box.
Alternatively, you can use the value help to call a window with the directory structure of your PC,         in which you can call the directory and select the document by double-clicking.
    Choose .
    Result
The PC document is stored in the optical archive. You and other users can call it by using the Attachment List of the object.

  • Preview my document

I can not preview my document in Dreamweaver when I make new document using document dialog box, choosing none under layout and HTML5 from page type?
Message was edited by: Moderator - Title too long.

Do you mean the little preview box on the right of the New Document dialogue box where it says <no preview> when you make the selections you talk about?
If so, there is nothing to preview. The layout you are choosing will show nothing but a blank white page, there are no elements to display in that preview box.

  • IOS doesn't preview .docx documents properly if they have been edited with Pages

Create or edit an existing word document (.docx format) with the latest pages on IOS.  Preview the document in any IOS app (say, the Dropbox app or mail the document to yourself and preview in ios mail).  Every line in the document will be ruled (more than underline--the line goes all the way across the page width).  When you look at the same document with any app that can open and view .docx (the new Pages, which converts to pages format of course, or Documents to Go, which opens .docx natively), the document displays properly.  Also, if you open the exact same document on a Mac using Pages or Word, you won't see the problem.
This is not consistent.  In a trivial 3 line document I could not reproduce this.  In a moderately sized document of 6 pages, my editing change in Pages was to format 6 lines as bulleted.  This caused the problem.
Certainly a bug in either Pages or in the way IOS renders .docx files throughout the system.  It's minor but it would be nice to fix.  Probably not worth Apple complaining about use of Word after they made a huge todo about really achieving compatibility with Word in the latest release of iwork.

When you open pages in Preview you can also get the same effect on an imac.
Articles sent as docx and opened in windows either arrive blank or only display the information between the lines. This is a big screw-up by Apple which they don't appear to have an answer for, and I find it annoying that I had to pay Apple Support to find this out.
Posting off CVs for jobs has resulted in my applications being lost because of this quirk.

  • When printing from Preview, the document prints with large print and many lines added and pages added

When printing from Preview, the document prints with large print and many lines added and pages added. Why does this happen?

Thank you!!! That was the problem--scale was set at 200% (don't know why)--when I reduced it to 100% it printed perfectly.
Thanks again for helping me resolve this problem.

  • HT4847 what happens if i turn documents and data option off

what happens if i turn documents and data option off

This is what Apple says about documents on icloud.com (from http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4910):
    iWork for iOS apps
For documents created with the iWork for iOS apps, you can download those files by visiting icloud.com/iwork on a Mac or PC and downloading a copy.  After downloading the files, you should back them up using the normal methods you use for backing up local files such as Time Machine, manually copying files to external hard drives, and burning to CD/DVD.
    Other apps
For other apps using iCloud Documents, contact the app developer for more information on how to keep a copy of that app's data.
If you go to Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup>Manage Storage, you will see a list of the apps that are storing documents and data on iCloud (under Documents & Data).  You can tap each item listed there to see the file names of any documents.
