When ever I open thunderbird or apple mail I get give password required Please enter the master password for the Software Security Device. How do I get rid of it. If I could easily transport my data to apple mail I would and drop TB. also this similiar asking for password comes up
What can I do?.

Thank you I saw this and seem to have put in a master password and now driving me crazy. Could I clean my mac and then reinstall a backup to try to get rid of problem. Seems like that answer went a long way back. Or should just set master password and enter it continually.

I set up my own Apple ID and then I deleted all existing apps, photos, movies, messages, reminders, etc to make room in storage and then downloaded 4 new apps for my granddaughter that total about 1.7GB. What is the Other yellow stuff - and how do I get rid of it?

I have .18 audio, .02 photos, .01 apps and .21 OTHER? I dont know what that is or how to get rid of it. I saw where some responses said to go to the back or restore factory settings. My question is on what and how? I am very computer illiterate and getting frustrated! Now it is not much, but I don't want it to cause a problem down the road. Also, if my itouch is a 8G, why does it show only 6.5 GB as the capacity? Thanks for any help!!

To reduce "other" sometimes a restore from backup works but many times a restore to factory defaults is required. I would not be concerned until ti gets to 1 GB though.
The difference between the 8 GB iPod total capacity/storage capacity and 6.5 is due to the iOS taking up some of that difference by a lot of it is du to the difference of how BG is calculated. See:

I'm using a lowpass filter express vi with a dynamic data input and have been getting a warning number 20352 from the error output node. The documentation states the following about this warning number: Current and previous waveforms are not contiguous. Can someone tell me what this means, if it is significant and how I can eliminate the warning?

Are you trying to filter just one waveform or are you combining multiple waveforms together before passing it through the filter? A discontinuous waveform would be one with missing time information...like a skip in the data that could result from adding two together. OR...Possibly it is two waveforms with different delta T's that have been added together and "coerced".

Got this message last night while in rural Georgia and don't know what it means or how to get rid of it.

I had this happen to me once and it just happened again. I have an HTC Incredible II and I live in New York City (don't know if that has anything to do with it). Here is how I fixed it:
Power off phone
Open phone, remove battery and remove SIM card
Replace battery and power on phone.
When the phone comes back on it said something like, No SIM card, this phone will now switch to CDMA mode.
Power off phone
Open phone and replace SIM card.
Power on phone - should be fixed. When I power on it says SIM card detected, this phone will now switch to Global mode. The Vodafone NL is gone and everything seems to be working as usual.
Short version:
1. Power down
2. Remove SIM card
3. Power up
4. Power down
5. Replace SIM card
6. Power up

Those instructions are, according to Google, still valid, so either you're not entering the command in correctly - they have to be entered in exactly as given - or the software is in your user library folder rather than the system library folder. I had to restore my iTouch and it;s working fine now but my computer shows that it has like seven gigs of "other" content that dos not show up on my iTouch. This much space being taken up is preventing me from actually putting my music on my iTouch. Can anybody help me out?

Do you have any apps such as Air Video, VLC or ZumoCast that allow you to convert or sync media for use offline? Or any PDF readers that may have large PDF files associated? Any RSS readers or other aggregators that could have large caches of internet material?
In my experience these are the sorts of apps that generate a lot of 'other' content. Sometimes it's easy to forget what files you have associated with these apps.

There is no need to download anything to solve this problem.
You may have installed one or more of the common types of ad-injection malware. Follow the instructions on this Apple Support page to remove it. It's been reported that some variants of the "VSearch" malware block access to the page. If that happens, start in safe mode by holding down the shift key at the startup chime, then try again.
Back up all data before making any changes.
One of the steps in the article is to remove malicious Safari extensions. Do the equivalent in the Chrome and Firefox browsers, if you use either of those. If Safari crashes on launch, skip that step and come back to it after you've done everything else.
If you don't find any of the files or extensions listed, or if removing them doesn't stop the ad injection, ask for further instructions.
Make sure you don't repeat the mistake that led you to install the malware. It may have come from an Internet cesspit such as "Softonic" or "CNET Download." Never visit either of those sites again. open itunes on computer
plug cable into computer not iOS device
turn phone off
hold home button and plug cable into phone. do not release home button until an itunes graphic appears on device.
