What is [abc-decode] in the profiler?

My app is showing a 58% self time on [abc-decode] during the loading. What is this? My loading is really slow, but I can't figure out why.

Open GL stands for Open Graphics Language, it is a platform independent standard for 3D graphics. An analogy would be .jpeg images. These files can be viewed on Windows or Macs, whereas .bmp is windows only.
So Open GL in iTunes allows third party developed iTunes visualizations to run. If you don't have any of these, it won't matter if it is selected or not.
Cap frame rate at 30 fps, means 30 frames per second. This is the speed of the Visualiser 'video'. There is no need to go faster than this because the human eye will not see any difference in motion faster than 25 to 30 frames per second anyway. So supposing you have a superfast mega processor that can pump out data at higher rates than 30 fps, visually you will not see any difference, so capped at 30 fps saves wasting CPU power cycles regardless of how powerful your computer's CPU is.
Plug ins for iTunes visualizer are different visuals other people create to display in the Visualzer, and then you may need to engage the Open GL.
This information is not contained in the Help documentation because it is technical background information, and Help documentations are more focused on how to do things then explain theory and background knowledge.

One thing I never understood is the option for the Profile and Level when I'm exporting a clip in AME. Not sure if those are options for most codecs but it is for the MainConcept H.264 Video Codec. For Profile, there is an option of "Baseline", "Main", and "High". For Level, starting from 3.1 and up, it's 3.1, 3.2, 4.0, 4.1, 4.2, 5.0, 5.1. I don't know what these are and therefore don't know which to choose. I know that the level has something to do with resolution so if I'm exporting in 720p, which level should I choose?
**While on the video encoding topic, in terms of quality, best to worst, what would the order be for the types of bitrates? Is it VBR 2-pass, CBR, then VBR 1-Pass?

Profiles outline/suggest certain encoding/decoding capabilities of a given video compression standard, like H.264. For example, the High profile enables B-frames and CABAC encoding. Levels are a means of ensuring that a hardware decoder can properly decode a stream. For example, an iPod can play back Baseline profile, Level 3.0 encoded video, but nothing higher. Higher profiles and levels enable other hardware, like Blu-Ray players. For the most part, you can ignore levels when encoding for computer playback, and only concern yourself with profile. SRM RFC users for ERP , what are the profile/roles should be used?

I have integrated SRM and ERP systems using config wizard. Multiple rfc accounts were created automatically by the wizard but what i did was i skipped on the profile and role field because i don't know what to put. Now, I am battling on what profiles and roles should i put there since the wizard didn't do the automatic placing of authorizations and roles for me.
here are the users that have been created automatically by the config wizard.

SRM2ERP
SRM2ERPD
ERPLOCAL
SRM System:
ERP2SRM
ERP2SRMD
SRMLOCAL
Please help on what ABAP Roles and Profiles should i place to it.

Hi ,
The user should have profile SAP_ALL assigned automatically when you run the CTC script.
Else please assign manually.

What is the Profile Drawer in Network System Prefs for?

I'm struggling with my very illogical d-link DWL-G122. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't... blah... Anyway, that's a different story. My question is, what is the Profile Drawer for in Network System Prefs? I can add my available wireless network, but it works even if it's not added. And why would I want to edit/activate/delete it etc? I've done a quick search and can't find any documentation to help me understand it. Can anyone help?

It's not really to add your network, it's to keep others out. If you have a neighbor with a strong signal you keep automatically switching to, you can eliminate that by using the list of preferred networks. Of course, if he has a reliable connection and you don't, that might not be desirable...

Firefox suddenly won't start and I can't open the profile manager; what else should I do?

Firefox was working. When I went to re-open it the wheel spun, stopped, and then nothing. I search online and it said to create a new profile by running firefox.exe -p. But nothing happened. The support article said that perhaps another version of Firefox was running in the background but not visible and to reboot. I did. No difference. I'm stuck. What else can I do?

I tried Safe Mode, but apparently you need Firefox to start regularly and then hit the menu button to get it to start in Safe Mode next time. Unfortunately I cannot get Firefox to start at all.
I'm going to try to save the profile and then re-install Firefox. However, the "Back up and restore" instructions on how to do this are a bit vague. For example, it tells you how to find your profile file by doing a search. But on my computer the search comes up empty (turns out on my computer the file name has the word "local" in the middle of the phrase given in the instructions.

I tried to open firefox this morning, and it would not open. I tried to uninstall and reinstall several times and even deleted all of my information. I looked it up on your site, and it said to open the profile manager. I followed the directions on how to open it, and it too will not open. I tried several times to open it as well. I need help. I only use firefox and have for years, and I have never had this problem. What do I do?

A possible cause is security software (firewall,anti-virus) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

Try to boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test to see if that helps.

Backup Dies on the Profiles Dbase..... Have already reset, what now?

Hey everyone,
First post here. Have had a Curve 8330 for about a month now. Recently while backing up, I started getting an error saying "Error backup databases, [Profiles] 4 of 6 entries retrieved"
I have already:
1. Gone into the Advanced screen and cleared the databases on the device.
2. Backup again, no problems.
3. Open a backup file that's a few days old, restore these profile (& options) to the device
4. Backup again..... No dice, still same problem.
So I just cleared the profliles from the device. Couple days later I manually recreated one of my profiles on the phone. Next time I tried to backup, I got the error message again. What now?
DM is 5.0, OS is WinXP, BB OS is 4.5.0

So I think I've got this problem beaten. I found a few useful posts on another forum. Most tell you to clear your browser cache and your cookies, then re-sync. This didn't do it for me, and I wasn't sure that it would considering that the browser cache shouldn't have anything to do with syncing the profiles database.
However, I did go to the advanced screen and clear the databases from the device. Then I did a battery pull with Quick Pull. Then I backed up again, with no issues. Then I recreated my custom profiles from scratch. Seems to backup fine now....... Cheers.

What is the path and filename where the profile paths are stored?

I currently am storing my profiles on a network drive. Due to some changes coming up in my home network I need to relocate them to a different drive and drive letter. I know there is a file in Firefox that has the locations of the profiles in it. I need to know the fully qualified path to find this file. The operating system is Windows XP and I am currently running the latest Firefox 3.6 on it.

What is Adobe Standard and the other camera profiles?

OK, so i'm using my Canon 5d mark II, shooting RAW in the Neutral picture style. When I load the photo into Lightroom, at the bottom under Camera Calibration the program shows that by default it has loaded the photograph using the Adobe Standard camera profile. My question is: Is Lightroom taking the end result of the RAW data being shot with the Neutral picture style and loading it into Lightroom where it translates the photograph (RAW + Neutral picture style) using Adobe Standard? Or is Lightroom taking the photograph (RAW + Neutral picture style) and overriding the Neutral picture style setting in my camera and replacing it with another picture style it calls Adobe Standard?
Another and potentially easier to understand way of asking the question would be if I shot two photographs in RAW, one with the Neutral picture style set in my camera and one with the Landscape setting, and then loaded them into Lightroom using Adobe Standard camera profile, would the two photographs look any different?
Sorry, I am new to digital photography and all adobe programs, and would greatly appreciate the help of a veteran.

The photos would look exactly the same. The picture style that your camera is set on makes no difference to the raw image. That picture style is carried in your raw file as just a tag that tells Canon's raw converter how to interpret the data. Adobe doesn't use that information.
It's up to you to choose the profile that meets your artistic desires.

Profile Manager deleted all of my files - not just the profile. Any tips on what happened and how to resolve?

I created a profile with Profile Manager. It dumped a lot of files into the directory that I selected. At that point I wanted to delete the profile and the associated files. When I selected the Delete Profile and Delete Files option it delete all files and folders in the directory - not just the profile files. It offered no warning that it was going to delete more than the profile files. Why did it do this and is there a way to recover the missing files? OS = Windows 7.

You should never select a folder to be used as profile folder that already has files in it.<br />
You should always choose a new and empty folder because you can use the Profile Manager to take up an existing profile by choosing the location.<br />
Removing the profile and opting to delete the files will remove all the files in that folder and remove the folder as well, so be cautious with doing that.

What is the file name of the Profile file containing past e-mails etc

I backup to an external drive in uncompressed plain language format. My e-mails beyond 2014 have been lost from my C Drive but still exist on my external hard drive. But I can't find them as I don't know the Profile file name

The application data folder, windows xp, has a folder labeled q2tw177e.default located inside the profile folder. I can find out nothing with this label when searching google. Makes me suspicious about this folder. Does anyone know anything about it. Thanks.

There is nothing to worry about that folder.
That is the actual Firefox Profile Folder that stores your personal data.
There are two of them:
* C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<profile>\
*C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Local Settings\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<profile>\
The latter is the location used for the browsing cache and a few other files.<br />
