What is actual process in plan maintenance module?

Hi Expert,
I want to know What is actual process in plan maintenance module? can u pls give me briefly description.
Regards,
Ram Rathode

Ram,
I assume you mean "Plant Maintenance" module.
"Actual Process" Is also a bit misleading.  There are many distinct processes within the PM module, just as in any SAP module.
Start with online help.

which is a high level description.  If you want more, just coninue reading the sub-pages.

  • What is the process to upgrade at full retail, switch SIM cards, and keep old plan with unlimited data feature

I'm on a really old plan...America's Choice Family Share 500, Free N&W, with 2 lines, and each line has the unlimited data feature on the line.
Neither line has a texting package.
I currently have a Droid Bionic (large SIM card) & want to get a Droid Turbo (small SIM card).  It is literally cheaper for me to pay full retail for a phone (actually 2 phones) than switch to a "More Everything" plan because my plan is so old.  Across the two lines, we probably only use 3-5 GB/mo, so we aren't 'heavy' data users, but we aren't using 1-2GB/mo either.
I went into a VZW Corporate store, and they said I should be able to keep my plan with unlimited data if I pay full retail, but the sales person said their system has been knocking off unlimited data for other customers, even for something as small as a SIM card change.
I tried upgrading on verizonwireless.com, and the system tried to kick me out of my America's Choice Family Share 500 plan.
What is the process to get a new phone, pay ~$600 for it, get the new SIM card assigned to the account, and keep my calling plan with unlimited data?
(I also have the option to turn on & off Mobile Hot-Spot for $30/mo at will...but probably only have it active for 1 week a year, if that)
    Thanks!

Just log into your my verizon and order a phone at the full retail price. When you add the phone to the cart you choose 2 yr price, edge or full and then hit add. You will have to choose a plan but that plan does not go into effect since you are buying a phone out of contract, it is just part of the process. You then will not lose the data

  • What is the process for transferring 2 lines from separate family plans and joining them in their own share plan?

I am part of a family plan (not the owner) and my boyfriend is part of a family plan, also not the owner of it.  We would like to transfer both of our phones out of our family plans and do our own share plan together. What is the process for this??

Have each of the account owners contact Verizon to let them know that you will be doing an AOL on your lines. Then you call Verizon and explain what you want to do. Just that easy. But understand you'll have to get the new Share everything plan.

  • Budget Process (Linked the maintenance Order into Internal Order) in EAM

    Dear Experts,
Scenario for Repair & Maintenance with only MM & FICO module live w.e.f. 2007 (PM not live)
Process Managed thru Internal Order (Order Type: RPMT)
Budget managed through Investment Management (IM); Budget is directly entered against the IO using transaction IM52
Scenario for Repair & Maintenance with only MM, FICO & PM module live (PM went live in 2010)
It was proposed to assign budget against each Maintenance Order.  Since the number of maintenance orders being used is very high, it was decided to link the MO & IO so that budget will be assigned to the IO and when the MO is settled against the IO, the budget in IO can be deducted accordingly. The proposed process to assign budget in Internal Order against each Maintenance Order are given below-:
1.)     In EAM process one can plan/procure material and External Services only when the Maintenance Order is created & released but practically it has to be planned long before any Maintenance Activity (Maintenance Order to be linked with the estimate so that PO can be created against the estimate).
2.)     The no. of Maintenance Order generated in EAM Module is very large as Maintenance order is created for almost each and every maintenance activity. It is cumbersome to allocate the budget to each and every maintenance order. There should be a single estimate for maintenance activity (as in MM module) and that should be linked to maintenance order so that the actual cost of Indent/Service Entry Sheet can be deducted automatically from the estimate (Maintenance Order is to be linked with estimate).
3.)      While doing return Indent the cost of return material is not being added to the maintenance order automatically (Maintenance Order is to be linked with estimate).
4.)      If Material & External Services not planned in the maintenance order (estimate), the user must be able to do that through Internal Order (estimate), hence the Internal Order must be link to the Maintenance Order. They should able to record the planned & actual cost in the maintenance Order.
    Process followed:
1.) Created Internal Order in KO01 for Repair & Maintenance Order Type
Assigned budget to Internal Order thru IM52
2.) Created PM order and assigned Internal order against Settlement Order in tab
u2018Locationu2019 and in Settlement Rule with 100%. In this Section attach the Internal
         Order with selection type u2018ORDu2019.
3.) Released both orders and issue the Material for particular Operation and then
determine the Cost for material .After that performed MIGO for consumption of
         materials.
4.) Settled the PM order in KO88.
         Settlement process was successfully saved.
    Problem faced:
After posting the goods movement (against each Maintenance Order) and settlement of the maintenance order against IO, we still find the budget assigned to the IO is not consumed/deducted.
    1. Actual cost of maintenance is not reflected in the internal order
immediately. We have to run cost settlement (t-code KO88) for the
maintenance order each time the actual cost is incurred in the maintenance order.
    2. Also in the case of return indent, the value of returned material is not directly
added to the available budget of internal order.
    3. When the material is issued from store through the reservation generated by
maintenance order, system does not check for budget in the internal
order/maintenance order while issuing material from the store.
    4.  It must not be allowed to create reservation from the internal order of order type
         RPMT.
    5.  In case of external service in the maintenance order, the unit of
measure in the requisition is set to u201CD (days)u201D by default. System does not allow
changing the unit of measure in the requisition (it should allow to change the unit
of measure or set the unit of measure u201CJOBu201D).
6.) When the material is issued from  the store through reservation generated  in
maintenance order, system does not check for budget in Internal Order
(estimate)/Maintenance Order while issuing material from store.
    Thanks & Regards
    Deepak Soni

    Hi,
    1. Actual cost of maintenance is not reflected in the internal order
immediately. We have to run cost settlement (t-code KO88) for the
maintenance order each time the actual cost is incurred in the maintenance order.
As per the standard system budgeting is done against the actual cost only. And until you settle your order the actual cost from
maint order are not getting transfered to IO. Once they are transfered system is checking for the budget.
    2. Also in the case of return indent, the value of returned material is not directly added to the available budget of internal order.
This is similar to first point, when you return goods there will be negative cost on the order, this has to be settled until that system will not compare the IO budget with maintenance order actual cost.
    3. When the material is issued from store through the reservation generated by maintenance order, system does not check for budget in the internal order/maintenance order while issuing material from the store.
The budget you have assigned is at IO, how can system will check the budget while issueing goods for maintenance order. We may have to develop or use some user exit over here. Which will trigger checking of budget from the settlement receiver IO for that maintenance order.
I think you may have to go for development. These are my observations from my experience.

  • Cancellation of backflushing in plant maintenance module

    Hi all,
Can we stop the backflushing in plant maintenance module? i have not activated backflushing in the material and also in the work center. Still, when i give the materials in the order while confirming it, the materials are issued from the stores. how to stop this background process?

    Hi Reddy,
It is in the PM orders. Actually for simplifying their work they are doing the maintenance order confirmation using TCode "IW42 - overall completion confirmation". since the materials are entered in the operations they come in the confirmation screen and hence gets confirmed.
Should i do the process of time confirmation and material issues through goods issue for order?
    thanks

  • Processes within Application Maintenance

    Hi,
Can someone please tell me answers for the following questions which were asked in a recent interview.
    a. Processes within Application Maintenance?
    b. what are functional designs and technical designs?
    c. design concepts within a module?
    Thanks,
    Rinky

Application mentenance - scope varies company to company.
If it is for ECC 6.0 then FI, CO; PP, SD, MM, QM modules are in scope.
You have to resolve the issues as and when user face .... frequency of it may be sec, min, hrs, day, week, month etc.

  • What are these processes and how do I prevent them?

For many years, many have complained of external drives that are in standby/sleep spinning up for no apparent reason.  From the user's point of view this is unnecesssary, but to make matters worse, the system usually stops everything else while waiting for the drives.
I have a Mac mini that I use as a home theater pc.  The media and backups are on a 5-bay enclosure (no RAID) attached by USB.  While watching a video, the unused drives will go into standby mode, which is good.  But then, with no user activity, they will spin up, freezing the video and everything else, which is not good.  As these are slow drives and spin up sequentially, this can take 10-20 seconds.  This may happen once or twice an hour, but sometimes more frequently.
In looking into the causes, I have turned off time Machine (after putting these drives into the Privacy section for good measure).  I also prevented Spotlight and fsevents logging with the following:
    mdutil -i off /Volumes/<drive1> /Volumes/<drive2> . . .
cd /Volumes/<drive1 and then repeat for other drives>
         rm -rf .fseventsd .Spotlight-*
         mkdir .fseventsd
         touch .fseventsd/no_log .metadata_never_index
As far as I can tell this has worked to stop those processes from accessing the drives after they are mounted, but the problem persists.  To find out what else might be causing them to wake up:
    sudo fs_usage -w | grep -e Volumes/<drive1> -e /Volumes/<drive2> . . .
and here is what I found last night (actually didn't use the -w last night, thus it is cut off):
    18:35:36  fsgetpath   /Volumes/XBMC         0.000026   SSDragHelper
    18:35:36  fsgetpath   /Volumes/Stuff        0.000006   SSDragHelper
    18:35:36  fsgetpath   /Volumes/DatOptic_3   0.000005   SSDragHelper
    18:35:36  fsgetpath   /Volumes/MacBackUp    0.000003   SSDragHelper
    18:36:15  fsgetpath   /Volumes/XBMC         0.000026   System Prefe
    18:36:15  fsgetpath   /Volumes/Stuff        0.000004   System Prefe
    18:36:15  fsgetpath   /Volumes/DatOptic_3   0.000003   System Prefe
    18:36:15  fsgetpath   /Volumes/MacBackUp    0.000003   System Prefe
    18:55:36  fsgetpath   /Volumes/XBMC         0.000034   GoogleSoftwa
    18:55:36  fsgetpath   /Volumes/Stuff        0.000004   GoogleSoftwa
    18:55:36  fsgetpath   /Volumes/DatOptic_3   0.000003   GoogleSoftwa
    18:55:36  fsgetpath   /Volumes/MacBackUp    0.000003   GoogleSoftwa
After looking into the Google process, I was surprised to find the tentacles that Google puts into your system, and ripped every bit of it out that I could.  But I have no idea about what's going on with SSDragHelper and System Prefe (presumable System Preferences).  This must be OS X itself?  What are these processes doing, and is there any way to prevent them from accessing these disks in this way?

Thanks for the reply Hen3ry.  Looks like you've done a lot of investigation.  For me, fs_usage entries accompanying spindown are not problems - I'm happy if the drives spin down.  My problem is the spinups.  But still, I don't think it is necessary to time the fs_usage entries with spinups.  If you grep for the drives you're concerned about, you will see any process that would potentially wake them up.
Because my understanding is limited, I also am more concerned with the process/application that is accessing the drives than with the functions or commands they are sending.  And the values that are returned by those functions are way beyond what I can deal with.
It's interesting that you've found a difference between your old and new drives.  Could you specify the enclosure and drives in each case?
The StorageStatus app looks interesting; thanks for the tip.
Here's a summary of what I've done so far, which I think is working.  I need a few more weeks to know for sure.
How to prevent unwanted drive spin-ups
If you are actively using the computer that the enclosure is attached to, nothing on God’s green earth will stop OS X from waking them up after some user action, even ones that seem to have nothing to do with the external drives.  But if you leave the computer alone while some application is running, like watching a movie or downloading a file, you have a fighting chance of coaxing OS X into leaving the uninvolved drives alone.
If the drives are shared with any other computers over a network, eject them on those computers
Otherwise, OS X (AppleFileServer) will poll them every 10 seconds.  This might not be bad if you want to just keep the drives spinning and the other computer stays awake.
    Third-party apps
Make sure no apps are running that might access your drives.  Google runs some processes that do this (maybe I’m naïve, but I was so shocked I removed chrome and every other trace of Google from my Mac mini system). Another is iStat and any utility that monitors SMART status in the background.
Don’t let Spotlight index or search the drives
Spotlight is persistent, and it may be necessary to take a variety of steps to stop its various processes (mds, mdworker) from accessing the drives and waking them up.  In other words, kill it, drive a stake through its heart, then burn the body:
In System Preferences > Spotlight, add the drives to the Privacy pane.
Add a file called .metadata_never_index to the root of each drive (note the leading period).  The easiest way to do this is in Terminal
    touch /Volumes/<drive1>/.metadata_never_index
Tell Spotlight AGAIN to keep away from the drive:
    mdutil -i off /Volumes/<drive1> /Volumes/<drive2> . . .
Finally delete the Spotlight folder from the drive.
    rm -rf /Volumes/<drive1>.Spotlight-*
Stop fseventsd from logging in the drive
This is easy, just putting a no_log file in its folder.  I have found that rarely it still writes some files in there, but it doesn’t seem to do so when it causes problems, so . . .
              rm –rf /Volumes/<drive1>/.fseventsd/*
         touch /Volumes/<drive1>/.fseventsd/no_log
    Finder sidebar
Some people say that if the drives show in the Sidebar of Finder windows, the Finder will be checking them.  I’m not sure. But to be safe, in Finder Preferences > Sidebar, uncheck External Disks.
Just say no to Time Machine
On the home theater mac itself, regular backups shouldn’t be needed.  You should be able to just turn Time Machine off.  However, it is probably sufficient to simply open System Preferences > Time Machine > Options and add the drives to the list of locations to exclude from backup.
Second, local backups can be disabled with
    sudo tmutil disablelocal
    Look for other culprits
If the problem persists, use fs_usage, which generates a real-time log of filesystem activity. There is so much going on that you need to use grep to restrict the output to entries that involve your drives. The entries that accompany your drive spin-ups are the ones you really want.
    sudo fs_usage -w | grep -e Volumes/<drive1> -e /Volumes/<drive2> . . .
Now leave the keyboard and mouse alone, as many things you might do will cause the drives to be accessed. You probably want to find what does it when you’re not actively interacting with the computer.  It’s not really necessary to wait for your drives to sleep and see what wakes them.  Any activity you see would probably wake the drives if they were asleep.  When you see some activity and want to stop and examine, type Control-C to stop the output.  On the far right of each entry is the process or application that accessed the disks.
    I got pointers from http://system-log.tyr.org.uk/2012/01/31/how-to-stop-usb-drives-from-spinning-up- unnecessarily-on-os-x-lion/ and http://www.jackenhack.com/disk-that-refuses-to-sleep-in-mac-os-x-how-to-fix-it/

  • What is the significance of plan version?

    Hi all,
Pls tell what is the significance of plan version? What will happen if I create some orgunit oin current plan and some org unit in another plan?

    Hi..,
Plan versions are scenarios in which you can create organizational plans.
==>In the plan version which you have flagged as the active plan version, you create your current valid organizational plan. This is also the integration plan version which will be used if integration with Personnel Administration is active.
==>You use additional plan versions to create additional organizational plans as planning scenarios.
But Only one plan version will be active at any time !!!
As a rule, a plan version contains one organizational structure, that is, one root organizational unit. It is, however, possible to create more than one root organizational unit, that is more than one organizational structure in a plan version.
For more information on creating plan versions, see the Implementation Guide (IMG), under Personnel Management ® Global Settings in Personnel Management ® Plan Version Maintenance.

what is a process code in ale idoc, what is the purpose of Process code.

    Hi,
Let me tell some scenario then u would be able to understand what a process code is-------
In ALE ie, the data requested system is receiver and the data already presented system is sender ie, from where we are having the data,
      here in sender side----
we need a program to tranfer required data into idoc--( idoc is just a data container )    in sender side this program logic is in a function module it is configured in we41.
ie this will transfer the data from database to idoc----in sender side it is a process code
and in receiver side after receiving the data we have to post it in database again program needed it is also ie the required code is also in function module it is configured in we42

  • Urgent Issue in Plant Maintenance Module

    Dear Experts,
We have requirement as described below, please give us your solutions / comments on this.
We have GTC company which is having around 800 trucks for transporting the products. I n this company we have implemented SAP Plant Maintenance Module, as we have the maintenance activities done for vehicles.
Under the same group of companies, we have PM1,PM2,PM3 companies which provide maintenance to GTC. These companies are not external to the group.
When I raise a maintenance order for a vehicle then I will mention hours of work and material that need to be used in the activity. This maintenance work / labour is provided by PM1/PM2/PM3 company.
In plant maintenance we have external service management, but that is for external vendors who provide service to GTC.
But how to handle the same with internal vendors like PM1/PM2/PM3.
Please tell me how to handle this kind of scenario.
    Thanks in advance.
    Nagesh

    Hi,
this is a major topic and cannot be covered in a blog. Even if it can it will take a lot of time to clarify. So, first do your checks within your module. Check if u really need to treat the services from the other company as external services. You might as well create workcenters in the plants of the other companies. And make a single maintenance planning plant for all the plants in these companies. This will make a better solution technically. But think also from the perspective of the cost of this solution. Meaning, is it worth doing all the jobs such as maintaining activity prices, work centers in the other plants etc..
In general, my suggestion is include the FI and CO consultants at least in the discussion. It will b good if u can have the MM consultant also during the discussion.

  • How to determine which processes are using a module?

I want to find out which processes are using a kernel module.
However this info is shown neither with ``lsmod'' nor in
    /sys/modules/<mod_name>/.
It's needed to reload certain modules which are acting buggy,
in a bash script. Right now I just keep a list of processes which
use the module and try to kill'em all, not exactly a beautiful
    solution.
To work around it I compiled a kernel with
    ``CONFIG_MODULE_FORCE_UNLOAD=y'', however actually
trying to unload anything with this results in an unstable system.
    Suggestions?

After successfully syncing the configuration database I ran the configuration compliance job once more, however with the same (misleading) results. Cross-checking the configuration reveals that none of the devices marked as compliant are actually having the "ip helper-address" configured.
Maybe it is something wrong with the input data I specified for the compliance template (ref step 1-6 in my first post)?
Or maybe the Compliance Jobs arent the best ways to determine whether or not my devices are having the "ip helper-address" configuration defined?

    Process Order:
Process order / Production order are activities within a business, where the production planning team team creates to absorb costs / evaluate costs / and check against planned figures. There would integration between MM/FI/PP to create such orders and process.
    Planned Order:
A request created in the planning run for a plant to trigger the procurement of a plant material for a certain quantity for a specific date.
    Purchase Order:
A request or instruction from a purchasing organization to a vendor (external supplier) or a plant to deliver a quantity of material or to perform services at a certain point in time.
