What is an ".abbu" file and what does it do?

A file showed up on my esktop named "Address Book -......abbu". What is it and can I delete it?

It is an Address Book archive file. You can make one by selecting File>Export>Archive while in the Address Book app. It has a date next to the name to indicate when it was made.
I always keep a recent one of these archive files in a backup folder, together with similar archives for iCal, Google Earth Places, Safari Bookmarks etc. They can be a godsend when things go wrong.

I downloaded some video podcasts from iTunes Store and they do everything I would imagine they should, EXCEPT play through the Apple TV! They show up under "Podcasts" on the TV but when selected the Apple logo comes on the screen for a few seconds and then the system reverts back to the menu. When I go to Music > iTunes Music > Podcasts they are all there and have the .m4v, not .mp4, designation. I can use QT to convert, but... what gives here?

I am using Linux mint 12 with firefox.

This has only happened since reinstalling my system a couple of weeks ago.
I am not really interested in what a json file is I simply want to get rid of this pop up box.

just me again!
I read over this forum the last few days, and got my email/facebook/msn question fixed via going back to the telstra shop and getting a BIS pack for $10/m along with my 1GB data included in my cap plan.
So all emails working well ...
My next question is ... what is the BIS pack, and what does it allow me to do/use? it was 530pm when the sales lady got to me, so she whipped it up on the computer, and sent me packing saying it will all be good in 20 mins .... no real detail except "unlimited email" ... but im sure the other sales person when I bought my phone said "apps, msn, facebook and stuff" were covered by the BIS plan.
So please help me!!!
I have WiFi at home, and can connect to it, but now I dont know when Im using it, or the data pack, or the BIS haha its driving me (and my husband) nuts!

FYI -- "here", as in these forums (which are targeted at BB/RIM services rather than carrier services), would not be the best place to find out something specific for one carrier. With so many thousands of carriers with dozens of different plans each, it's pretty much impossible to keep track of the specifics. The generic information is this:

But, there certainly can be variations on that given the different packages carriers put together. I do suggest you do as JSanders recommended -- contact your carrier and find out what you've signed up for.

There are several nice programs that can help you figure out what's on your computer - OmniDiskSweep, WhatSize, and DaisyDisk are the three I like. If you've had your computer for a while - and especially if this isn't your first Mac and you've been migrating from one computer to another, one of these programs can help you find files you didn't know your computer still had. For example, when I was trying to shed files to fit int a 256GB SSD, I discovered I had nearly 1GB of files in my Application Support folder belonging to programs I no longer used.
Other than that, your easy choice are music, video, and photos. They tend to be the big files. A movie will generally be at least 1.25GB, for example.
