What is an alternative to bins? Sometimes I want to make custom transitions and I need a place to store them for easy use.
Either projects or events. You can make a compound clip in a event used to hold favorites. Add a couple of generator items to it and apply the custom transition. You can copy and paste from the compound clip to any project. Hold everything you want into the one event. It probably won't ever get very big, and the render files can be dumped at any time. You can simply move the event from machine to machine or place to place as needed, just as you can other custom content, like keyboard layouts and custom color presets.

Were the messages on your phone? Simply because messages are on your phone does not mean they are still on Verizon's servers. You use internal phone memory to store messages on your phone. The messages do not stay on Verizon's servers until you delete them from your phone.
On the other hand, if you still have your phone and have not reset it since you stopped using it, the texts may still be on your phone. Good luck. -

This is what i bought but i am wondering if i should of gotten 64bit xp and note 32 bit because my computer is only registering 2g ram this is my setup: (i have 2 hard drives 160 each RAID 0 and i have two 512 graphics cards capable of 4 monitors but i was told the graphics cards are taking the ram away. whats better more ram in graphics cards or more free ram in the system? i was told with xp a 32 bit system will limit ram to 4g min only shows 2 see here:

SHOULD I KEEP THIS OR BUY ANOTHER ONE WITH 64 bit I WANT TO USE ADOBE cs3, and will upgrade to CS4 soon. i use primarily dreawweaver and i want to learn graphics and want to do tons of multitaskingSeems like you have very much overkill in certain areas and not enough in others. If you will be running Dreamweaver, you don't need a lot of RAM! If, on the other hand you will be using Photoshop, you need a lot of RAM. I've been using Photoshop since 1992 and the more RAM the better, up to about 6 GIGs, then it really doesn' make much of a difference. As for the Graphics cards, not sure why you need 2?? I use Photoshop professionally and have never needed 2. As for the RAM, the graphics cards have their own RAM built in and it should not rob from you system. I use a Quad processor HP running Vista 64 bit. Photoshop flys, as do my other programs. However, I will tell you, if you change to 64 bit, be prepared to upgrade most all of your software, and on top of that, a lot of software is not capitable with 64 bit at this time. I played Hell getting my system set up running 64 bit. If you are not going to be using Photoshop, which is RAM hungry, you do not need more that 4 gigs of RAM.

I asked a question about deleting deleted emails but after trying to delete all mail, it said no mail but it still keeps reappearing. The mail icon on the main screen says I have thousands of emails. I've rebooted, hit the trash one by one but they still come back! I'm going nuts!
That file could be set as a Launch Agent or Daemon in your ~/Library or /Library, You could try to look for it or Safeboot your computer and then empty the trash. I currently use PSE 11 & have purchased PSE 13, I use a Dell XPS8300 that is was purchased in 2011 and has a 2TB HD, however, it is 75%full. I have several large catalogs, all located on drive C (My Catalog, Scrapbooking Supplies, Etc), I would like to move these catalogs to another larger external device, along with the tagged jpgs, pngs, and psd files that go with them, while maintaining the ability to access them quickly from my desktop, using PSE. I have briefly considered My Cloud or My Book, but an uncertain if either of these are the correct choice, or if another option would better suit my needs. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, TynaIn a similar situation you are right in your option to move your image libraries to external drives. Your choice is to move only the picture files tree or to move also the catalogs. Keeping the catalogs on your C: drive does not require much disk space and speeds up the operations a little.
There are mainly two ways to move your pictures to a new drive:
- Using the 'Folders' panel and dragging the master folder of your pictures tree to the external drives. You keep the catalog in its original default location and the paths of the files in the new drive are automatically updated. Be patient, that may take hours. You can move all your files at once, or choose to move folder by folder (moving a folder also moves its subfolders).
- Or use the backup/restore procedure.

You specify a master folder on the new external drive for the custom location. That will also move the catalog folder to the new drive, but you can choose to move it back to the default location on your C: drive.
Even if you choose the 'move' solution, do a full backup before for safety.
Keeping the catalogs on the new external drive may slow down the process a little, but the big advantage is that you can access your catalog and library from another computer with Elements. -

I want to buy Mac mini and don't know which one is best for me. Please don't tell me to buy anything else, because it is my choise. I only need to know what is better:
Upgradable late 2012 version with quad core i7, 2.3GHz, 8gb of RAM and Intel HD Graphics 4000
or
Non-upgradable late 2014 version with dual core i5, 2.6 GHz, 8 gb of RAM and Iris graphic card.
I do short videos with a few effects, transactions, fades, titles, sometimes add CC. So which Mac mini do you recommend, guys?as a windows/premiere user i can only speak to the hardware. 8gb ram in either should be fine for short & simple projects. the i7 is alot better, however the hd graphics 4000 is not as good as the iris and may require running the mercury engine as software only. this means no using the video card to help premiere run faster. anything outside of premiere using the cpu for day to day tasks would also appreciate the i7. depending on the model of the iris graphics, it may be a couple times faster than the hd 4000 and therefore might work in premiere. according to adobe it lists the Intel Iris Graphics 5100 and 5200 as working System requirements | Adobe Premiere Pro if you get into other adobe apps, the graphics wont matter as much and the i7 will run faster. it is faster video vs faster cpu, which to pick...

carloT400s, X200 and X200s are mainly built for road warriors where they don't want to carry extra weight and yet still have a powerful enough laptop for their light photoshop work, document processing, HD movies, powerpoint and publisher, etc.
For outdoors you should look to the new 'Special series of X200t (t for tablet)' which has this new screen that is specifically designed for people whom use their laptop in the outdoor environment providing maximum brightness and minimal reflectivity.

For movies and streaming hd movies, any of these laptop would be sufficient, as T8xxx, T9xxx Penryn processors are have SSE 4 included that have special algorithm that increases processor efficiency for HD movie decoding. Also Intel X4500 MHD integrated graphics card are specifically designed for blu ray and hd movie decoding without using CPU resources.
If you do light photoshop work, then any of these laptops are fine. 9 cells in a T400s or X200 or X200s should get you upwards of 5 hours use on a single charge.
The T400s have built in displayport out, which is missing in the T400, while the X200 and X200s can use this port only through the ultrabase dock.
The one thing that T400 can be optioned with is the dual gpu if you get the ATI graphics card, which includes the X4500 and ATI 3470 which one use depends on whether you are after graphic processing power or battery life.

Plz someone help I made custom ringtones and when I try to put them in my iPhone 4 it hey appear gray on iTunes and won't go on my phone and I tried syncing it don't help what do I do???!!!
The ringtone file format is m4r. You can create ringtone from any of your music file in your iTunes Music library.
Follow steps as follow:
1. Right mouse click the song in music library you want to create ringtone and choose “Get Info”
2. Choose “Option” Tab, Check “Start Time” n Stop Time” of the track you want to make into ringtone and put in your start time and end time (Max 40 secs duration), then click OK
3. Right mouse click the music file again and choose “Create AAC Version”
4. You will see a copy of song with same name appeared but with 40sec duration only. Now drag the song onto your desktop and you will see the name is now xxxxxx.m4a.
5. Change the file extension m4a into m4r from the desktop
6. Delete the 40sec m4a file from the music library (You must do this step or Itune will not accept your new m4r file).
7. *Important - Now uncheck the start n stop time of the original song so that you can play back full length.
8. Now, drag the m4r file from desktop to Library
9. Click onto the Tones under Library, and you find you ringone file.
Note: Just in case you cannot "Create AAC version" from Step 3, go to top menu, click "Edit", "Preference". Under "general" Tab, click "Import Settings", make sure under Import Using that "AAC Encoder" is selected.
Once you have ringtones in Tones library, you can sync ringtones over by connecting your phone to PC, select iPhone under Devices on iTunes left Pane, then go to 'Tones' tab and check SYNC TONES as well as the ringtones. Click the SYNC button on the lower right window. -
Logic 8! Put down what we want in the next version. They need to know!
I been using Logic Pro 7 since it came out. Apple updated everything else in there app line but not logic. So lets give Apple some ideas of what we want in the new version. If they don't know what we want we will all be complaining when a new version does come out. Below are just some of the things I want to be added or changed.
1. New GUI - Apple I know you can make it great (Need some help let me know). Not just the program but your plug-in's too! I seen you spiced them up in Soundtrack Pro 2.
2. More plug-in's
3. Update your current plugins such as ultrabeat. Get something going like toontrack dfh superior for great real sounding drums.
4. Get some pro engineered samples included (drums, bass, guitar, cello, strings, etc.)
5. Create a better mixer - Let users customize everything about it.
6. More customizable interface
and more coming soon...
I know these are just mostly cosmetic and add-on stuff i listed but I will put some better stuff later. Come on everyone put want you want let them make the best audio program every!My top wishes:
1. The ability to import Sonar projects. Before I made the big switch to Mac, I was using Sonar under Windows. I still have a million unfinished songs I was working on in Sonar that I'd like to import into Logic. Apple does want to make the transition from Windows to Mac easy, doesn't it?
2. Improved user interface. If Apple isn't already aware that Logic's UI needs to be revamped, then, well, we have a problem. Now, people usually figure out Garage Band without any trouble in a short time, at the same time as Logic has an enormously steep learning curve. I think a lot of Logic's learning curve is unnecessary and stems from a very unconventional and non-standard way of working. So ... Logic needs to dump the weirdness and just redo the whole interface as a standard Mac app ... even with some flair.
And then there are the annoyances, like the Cycle feature sitting right on top of the Song Position Line. I must mistakenly click on the Cycle area at least a dozen times an hour while I'm working, with a disruption every time. What on earth were they thinking?
3. Better support for MIDI hardware synths. I have a Motif rack ES, Triton Extreme, E-mu Vintage Pro with some extra expansion ROMs, ... I expected to be able to just hook these synths up and load some instrument definitions that come bundled with Logic (like you can do with Sonar). Boy, was I wrong! Holy Moly! It took me something like two weeks to get those synths set up, with a huge waste of my time poking around the Internet, entering a lot of information by hand, and fiddling with Logic's very confusing Environment. Not doesn't Apple bundle the common synth definitions with Logic, they don't even maintain a central repository where people can share those things. And nobody else has a really good repository either. This is a totally unacceptable mess.
In principle, there's a lot of power in the Environment concept. The problem is that it's too complex to figure out, and Environments are too hard to share, and there aren't enough of them available for download or bundled with Logic.
