SAP ERP Central Component 5.0 & BDC

Hi,
Can anyone tell me what exactly 'SAP ERP Central Component 5.0' is and if it's SAP's latest version is it still BDC programming compatible?

Hi Manu,
It is the way SAP has evolved over the years.. what was R/3 is now ECC.. after the 4.6 versions, it was Enterprise & now the ECCs..the latest version is ECC 6.0
Among other things, it basically consists of HR,Logistics,Financilas& a few Business Packages..Regarding BDCs, it is not set in stone that they cannot be used.. it is better to go in for BAPIs wherever possible.. but for some Transactions, BDC is still the only way.. PLease check the following <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp2005/helpdata/en/43/68805bb88f297ee10000000a422035/frameset.htm">SAP Release Notes</a> for info on ECC 6.0

SAP ECC and ERP are same, current version is ECC6.0
In order to know your version log on to the system , in easy access screen go to system --status ,you will get plenty of information.

Which SAP Product version to assign to a Logical Component in SMSY (SOLMAN)

Dear SAP Colleagues,
In our SAP environment, we do have 2 versions of ERP systems :
1. CON - SIF - CDP systems are 'SAP ERP Central Component 5.0' product version.
2. CDD - CDT - CDP systems are 'SAP ECC 6.0' product version.
Question :
When I want to assign these systems to a Z_LOGICAL_COMPONENTS, which product version do I have to choose ?
Example for CON - SIF - CDP systems :
1. They are 'SAP ERP Central Component 5.0' product version.
2. In SMSY in our SOLMAN system, logical component are created using
'SAP ECC 5.0' product version.
Example for CDD - CDT - CDP systems :
1. They are 'SAP ECC 6.0' product version.
2. In SMSY in our SOLMAN system, logical component are created using
'SAP ECC 6.0' product version.
Question :
What about 'SAP ERP 2004' and 'SAP ERP 6.0' product version ?
In which case must I use this product version to assign CON-SIF-CPS
or CDD-CDT-CDP to new Logical components ?
Are they OSS Note or any matrix which give me the right product version to choose ?
I have heard that 'SAP ECC x.x' product version should not used any longer ?

F110 wtih vendors locked

Hio everybody.
Can someone help-me with this case:
My administrative user need to create more than one automatic payment
for the same vendor but for different invoices/payment method.
But when a vendor is contained in another proposal you cannot select
it in a new proposal even if the invoices you want select are different because
they have different payment methods selected in the parameters.
Some idea ro solve the problem?

Not too sure what version of ERP you are using by in ERP 6.0, there is F110S, where you can schedule your payment runs.
All you do here is you add constant parameters.
In terms of the timing, why dont you run say a manual check run on a Monday and then the next day do one for Wire transfer for example.
Saving the paramters does not lock the data, running the propsal does.

SAP XI Acknowledgements in asynchronous communication without using BPM.

My scenario is File (Legacy system) -> XI->IDOC & I need to send the acknowledgement back to legacy system. How SAP XI acknowledgements work in asynchronous scenarios without a BPM process. I know it has to do something with ALEAUDIT. It would be great if someone describes how exactly it works?

Hi Nidhi,
execute report IDX_ALEREQUEST on your PI system.
- put for sender port the IDX1 port to your SAP system,
- put the client of the SAP system
- put the value of the SAP field "receiver partner number" (look at WE02)
- put the value of the SAP field "receiver partner type"
- put optional partner role
The ALEAUD what the SAP ERP sends back (to be scheduled) will be handled at PI as seperate message. So you can do what ever you want with it, for example route it to an FTP server and map the values as you wish to have them.

Maximum Number of Items has been reached in FI

We are working on MySAP ERP 2005.
We received the following error massage:
[Maximum number of items has been reached] we then updated table TTPYV using MATNR,MEINS,MENGE,PAOBJNR,POSN2,VBEL2,WERKS,ZEKKN
We had these same settings in R/3 4.7 and it worked very well.
1. What are MySAP ERP 2005 requirements in order to get SD billing items summarized in FI? our client wants one invoice with more than 10000 items
2. What are other IMG settings required in both FI/SD modules to get this working?
3. Are there any User Exits required?
4. Are there any CO settings required?
5. Are there any G/L account settings required?

I don't think you can. We had the same problem and had a good look at sap notes and posts from SDN etc. and came to the conclusion that you can only invoice up to 9999 items. Not entirely sure about that number, might be 999 items. In any case we decided to break down the billing list by creating more than one billing documents.
You can do the same and then create an Invoice list, which is a document that will contain the values of all individual billing documents without posting any values to FI/CO

FSCM: Biller Direct using Dispute Management

Hi,
I've implemented SAP Biller Direct and I want to use the dispute management to create dispute cases directly from the webportal.
Dispute Management is activated. Its already possible to create cases in the backend (and to modify these cases on the frontend), but if I try to create a new case directly on the frontend, I get the following message:
"This service isn't available at the moment."
I dont know what to do. The biller direct integration in the Dispute Management is definitely activated. Customizing is done as well.
Any ideas?

- Yes, I can change the administrative data (integrated with accounts receivable).
- I can pay bills. Marked as 'arranged by Biller Direct' in the ERP. How can I post them, or is it done automatically?

The meta data for the IDoc type "MATMAS05" is unavailable

Dear Gurus:
I need help in completing small test that I am doing to send MATMAS IDOC to xMII.
I have done:
1. RFC connection SM69 and tested ok
2. xMII IDOC Listner config with my SAP client
3. Connection appears in smgw ok (in logon client screen)
4. Completed Distribution channel and we20,we21
All above looks in place when I send one IDOC (BD10) it remains in 03 even after I run RBDMOIND. Besides IDOC is not appearing in C:\Lighthammer\JCO\Output.
On tRFC I see error The meta data for the IDoc type "MATMAS05" is unavailable.
Note that
a) I am NOT using transaction on routing tab
b) xMII version 11.5
c) I used "How to send IDOC ...." Version 2 PDF that is available on web (thanks to Bimal)
d) I looked at other two posts which has to do with LOIPRO message type and with JCO issue

A: SBOP INTEGRATION FOR SAP SOLUTIONS XI 3.1 SP3 WINDOWS has to be installed on the server. For client side, do custom install and select only client components.

A: Yes, the transports has to be imported to SAP system. What is the ERP you are using.

Cannot Retrieve data from Information objects - BW

Hi all, I am having a problem with extract some data from BW.
I have a BW query that I was extracting some data. I could extract all level of the hierarchy. I mean, when I did a universe, it shows every dimention and information.
After create an universe and configured a connection, I did my report in WEBI and than a dashboard in xcelsius. I had to fix something in the universe and in the report, but sudenly the connection was down (I was doing a remote connection to the server). I don´t know why, my report couldn´t extract data from information, but only dimention.
I didn´t change the query and I have tryed to create another universe connection and new universe. I have tryed to create a new connection with another BW query too. The result was the same... No data from Information objects but only from dimention objects.
BO can´t extract (information objects) data from BW.
PS: I have stoped the services and started again twice.
