Does the ext directory have the php_oci8.dll? In the original steps the PHP dir is renamed. In the given php.in the extension_dir looks like it has been updated correctly. Since PHP distributes php_oci8.dll by default I reckon there would be a very good chance that the problem was somewhere else. Since this is an old thread I don't think we'll get much value from speculation.

Ipod touch 5th gen internal device error

Hi
I purchased an ipod touch 5th gen today and have had no luck getting my music onto it from itunes. Everytime I attempt to sync it either reads "internal device error" or "could not sync with this ipod as it was unable to be read from". I have tried restoring it twice with no luck. Help!

What happens when you try to restore?
Have yu tried another cable
Try on another computer to help determine if you have a computer or iPod problem
Last, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

Hey all
I am having troubles with my new Ipad and Iphone. Both are new items purchased recently and i have been able to download podcasts, apps and music but now everytime i sync my items, it says 'iphone/ipad cannot be synced - an internal device error has occured', sometimes it doesnt read the devices and other times it says 'cannot connect. An unknown error occured'. Could this be a virus - i have suggested everything on the support page.

When synching new touch get internal device error

i bought a new touch for my son but when i try to synch it says "internal device error" so obviously we can't get playlists onto it; any ideas?

I gave up. New Hard Drive, new install Windows, New USB Port, Waited until iTunes install and Sync was 100% before re-installing McAfee. Hello, i dont understand why everyime i plug in my 3rd generation ios4 updated ipod touch to my computer (vista) and try to sync it, after about 10 seconds i'll get a pop up which reads, 'The Ipod cannot be synced, An internal device error occured.'.. does anyone have any clue what i should do??? ive master reset it, ive reinstalled itunes, ive restored the ipod.. lucky thing is i have an iphone 4.. but i just want it sorted because it cost me money! thanks!

Doublechecking something Emcee. I see you've got Windows 7 x64, so I'm assuming you've got at least 4 GB of RAM. Do you also have an NVIDIA USB EHCI chipset on that PC? If so, see the following Microsoft document:

Every time I connect I either get a message from iTunes that it doesn't recognize the phone or it tries to sync it and can't ending with an internal device error message.

I had the same problem. I got it working a few hours after setting up the account. Go to the firefox button and click sync now. This solved the "Failed Server Lookup" issue for me.

This has been very aggravating for me for a while now. I've been trying to sync music on my ipod touch, but I keep getting a message that says "ipod cannot be synced internal device error". I tried to restore my touch and I even downloaded the latest updates ..but no use. Every time i try to sync.. I get the same message..I'm starting to give up hope. "The iPod "matt walsh's iPod' can not be synced. An internal device error occured. "

- Reboot the computer
- Reset the iPod. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Try another cable and USB port.
- Next would be to place the iPod in Recovery Mode and then restore. This erases the iPod.
