What is an Invoice list? Why is it used?

Hi All,
Can any one tell me what is an Invoice list? Why is it used?
Thank you for your help.
Regards,
Shanu

Invoice Lists makes it possible to send a list which contains multiple billing documents like invoices, credit memos and debit memos, to a Payer at specific time or on specific days.  This can be generated in background processing.
There are two types of invoice lists in the standard:-
-  One for Invoices and debit memos and
-  One for Credit memos

What is "Directory Service" and why does it "use up 194%" on my istat CPU app monitor?
Ever since I installed Leopard I've noticed this happening more and more - especially when I install an external hard drive or unplug my ethernet line - this is plainly weird and never happened under Tiger - the temperature shoots up to 84° also - I always to a restart to get rid of it but it's kind of worrying....anybody have any ideas?

    Had this happen myself.
It does have something to do with Spotlight/searching. Should go away after a while, or so I have heard from other users, 'cause it hasn't stopped driving me and my fan mad yet.
Am going to have my MacBook index and follow-up on indexing and whatever else it feels is necessary to finally allow me to search in peace over the weekend while locking it away where I can't hear it.
    Hopefully that does the trick.
If it wasn't for things working better/faster and most things looking better I might actually consider taking Leopard off again ...

  • What is web.xml and why it is used?

    hi,
am new to servlet technology, i tried to find a topic like this in this fourm also in google but didn't get a exact one. can anybody explain me or suggest me some resource about this.
    thanx in advance.
    Max

    hi stevejluke,
    thanx for the correct link.
nx for the correct link. but what i in doubt with is
why we should use web.xml? may be my question is very
silly, may be too basic, forgive me for that...
    Thanx & Regards,
    SaikatAt the most basic level:
There are several versions of the Servlet specification, You need the web.xml to tell the server which version of the spec your application conforms to so the server knows how to deal with different things.
If you have a servlet, you also need the web.xml to define what URL signals a request that should be handled by your servlet.
At this point, you need to sit down and read a book. Do what it says, blindly at first. Just do what it says (but do try to understand the 'what' of it, just don't question the 'why'). After you have a few applications running, go back and ask yourself this question again and try to see what you are using the web.xml for in those applications you have.

  • What is kernel_task? And why does it use so much memory?

I have an iMac 27 inch late 2009 purchased new in July 2010. It has a 3.08 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo Processor and 4 GB of Memory. I recently upgraded to Yosemite and just now was unable to save an Excel document to an external hard drive with plenty of space with the warning I did not have enough memory. I went to my activity monitor and indeed there is very little memory and at the top of the usages of memory is kernel_task?  I don't know what that is and why it requires so much system memory.
Also, there is an installation I aborted for an app I realized I didnt need and for some reason something it out there still taking system memory and I get a message when I shut down that it can't install. How do I delete that.

DNS (Domain Name Service) is the Internet "address book" of web sites. Whenever you go to a site such as http://apple.com your browser must make calls to the DNS server specified in your Network Settings to translate "apple.com" into Apple's IP (Internet Protocol) address of 17.178.96.59. Any time you access any Internet resource (such as sending or receiving email, playing multi-player games, using a browser, Using any app that accesses data on the Internet such as news, weather, stocks, etc) one or more DNS lookups must be made. Many web sites have content from several different sites. Each site referenced on the page must also be looked up. Each query is small (~100 bytes), but they can add up.

  • What is test stand ? Why is it used, how to get going ?

    Hello All,
I am LabVIEW user and very new to test stand, have few basic questions,
    1. Why teststand was introduced ?
    2. In LabVIEW we write VI's and build a project to execute a big task, how is this done in teststand?
    3. I did download some of the pdf from NI website, but not able to visualise what needs to be done,
Pls do share if you have more insight to Teststand.
    Thanks

    Hey systemcrash,
I will try and answer your questions the best I can:
    1. http://www.ni.com/teststand/whatis/
TestStand is an automated test executive (ATE).  It is an off the shelf solution which makes your life easier.  It handles report generation, user management, sequencing (i.e. test flow), result collection, pass/fail analysis, common User Interface, database logging, etc...  Basically, all the crap you don't want to develop in LabVIEW.  But it gives you consistency and commonality for all your tests.  If you look at the layers of the test system TestStand would be at the top like this:
    TestStand
    LabVIEW (or other software)
    Hardware Drivers
    Instruments
    UUT (unit under test)
    2. In TestStand you have the development environment (Sequence Editor) and the User Interface.  They can both execute tests.  The User Interface is an application written in LabVIEW (or other programming languages, ships with TestStand) which gets deployed to a test station so that testers can execute your test.  It does not have the ability to edit the test (in TestStand tests are called Sequence Files).  However, the Sequence Editor can edit the tests and would be used on the development machine.  There is a deployment utility in TestStand which allows you to create an installer.  In that installer you would include the TestStand Engine, the User Interface and all the dependencies for your test (Sequence File).  Then the user just opens the User Interface and runs it.
    3. NI does offer TestStand courses which can be helpful.  I recommend going through these PDFs though first:
    http://www.ni.com/pdf/manuals/373200c.pdf
    http://www.ni.com/pdf/manuals/323436a.pdf
You will get more out of the classes if you have starting playing around with it first.
    Hope this helps.

  • What is "Bash"?  And why is it using 15-20% of my CPU?

I went to the apple store today and they expressed concern about "Bash" in my Activity monitor taking up so much CPU (and causing my fan to run all the time).  They didn't know what it was.  Does anyone know what it is and how to get rid of it?
    Thanks! Kate

bash is the standard shell under OS X – meaning it is the standard program to interface with the operating system’s Darwin underpinnings (technically, /bin/sh is the standard shell, but that has been a copy of /bin/bash since OS X 10.3). It is the process that is launched when you open a Terminal.app window – an interactive shell.
bash can also be launched without a terminal window – a non-interactive shell –, for instance to execute shell scripts, often denoted by the file suffix .sh. That is the case here – bash is running the script /usr/bin/stkLaunchAgent.sh, and something in this script is keeping your system busy.
Now, /usr/bin/stkLaunchAgent.sh is not part of an OS X install – it is some kind of third party addition and as such is not present on my system, meaning I can only guess, but I’d say:
from its name part “LaunchAgent” and the fact it starts with your system, that it is triggered by a LaunchAgent – a small definition file used by OS X’ launchd, the system mechanism for starting scripts and non-interactive programs on schedule, boot or other events. That part I‘d qualify as an educated guess.
from the fact your troubles began with the installation of your Vertex SSD, and the fact that the crucial difference between SSDs and HDs is the first do not take kindly to defragmentation and similar low-level interventions into their structure, that the script launched by the agent in question might be trying to do some operation on the drive the Vertex SSD does not accept – which keeps the script running and bash busy. Now, that part is only a wild, wild guess, but…
How to find out what the script does:  Open a Terminal window and do open -e /usr/bin/stkLaunchAgent.sh to have a peek into the shell script (that command will open it in TextEdit – terminate it in Activity Monitor first) – that should give you the means to see what exactly is running.
How to get rid of it:
You’ll have to get rid of the LaunchAgent, if it is indeed one. launchd LaunchAgent files are in plist format and found in
~/Library/LaunchAgents – for the current user account only
/Library/LaunchAgents – for all user accounts
/System/Library/LaunchAgents – system level agents (should not by rights be found here!)
They are usually named in reverse domain notation (tld.domain.process.plist). Depending if the user account of your runaway bash is yours or not, you should look in one of the first two locations above for a likely plist (if you have Xcode installed, you can QuickLook them easily). The correct procedure to stop it is to remove it from launchd’s process list through
    launchctl unload tld.domain.process
which will unload and stop the process (note you omit the plist suffix).
There is also a GUI for handling launchd files, Peter Borg’s Lingon (make sure to get “Lingon”, not “Lingon 3”, which is a dumbed down version safe for vanilla use), which might be more convenient than manually rooting through the file locations.

  • What is DNS Services and why does it use so much data?

I have 300MB to use a month on my iPhone 4S (most recent iOS) and I'm normally pretty good with it because I'm connected to WiFi a lot. All of a sudden, my data usage spikes and my DNS services usage has gone up to 40MB. What is this and how do I keep it from spiking like this? It's incredibly annoying.
Also, any other tips on saving data while connected with the 3G? As mentioned before, I only have 300MB so I like to stretch it for the month.

  • What is Iterator? and Why is it used?

    Hi,
I am newbie to BSP and ABAP, and came across iterator while going through some topic.
I used iteration process to display the values in the view in a table,
Is it some way similiar to it with different approach?

    Hi,
Iterator is to design each and everycell in your table in different format and to design your table that and end your can change what ever he wants in the table and saves the data changed.
You can disign your tableview like it has a dropdown in one column, input field in one column and image in on column and link in one column like that.

  • What is Simulate data ? why it is used ?

    Hi,,,,
In the details tab of your request,,,,If we right click on any data packet,,,we get options like ,,,,manual update,,simulate data ,,others...
What exactly this simulate data option does,,,when it is usefull ?
    Any additional comments will help...
    Thanks,,

    Hi,
it is useful for the testing purpose on how the records are behaving when they are getting update to the target.
Since a record goes through various stages like before transformation ,through start routines after start routines, after transformation....
you can see the records through various phases when you simulate and what is happeneing to the records at each stage like after transfer rules and before update rules...etc.
you can give the selection on specific records which you want to test.
you can use break points to debug the code and test the values inside internal tables as well.
Its a strong tool and can help you find the errors encountered during the data loads or design the routines in a good way.
    Thanks

  • What is Google Services and why is it using 50% of my battery?

This is far and away the biggest user of my battery capacity. I've been watching battery usage closely since I deferred this latest update and then my battery longevity went way down and it took a long time to charge. But I also remember in the past that Google Services has always been a pretty big user.

  • Condition type used for invoice list

    Hello Gurus,
following condition type used for invoice list, why do they exit in invoice list:
             RL00    MW15.  LR00    RD01

    Hi,
Please go through the below document
When you work with invoice lists, you need to be familiar with the following concepts:
    Prerequisites for invoice lists
    Relationship to Pricing
    Structure of an Invoice List
    Changing header and item data
    Integration with financial accounting (FI)
    Prerequisites
You can only process invoice lists if the following prerequisite data is defined by your system administrator in Customizing for Sales:
Condition type RL00 (factoring discount) must be maintained and, if required, also the condition type MW15.
An invoice list type must be assigned to each billing type that you want to process in invoice lists. The standard version of the SAP R/3 System includes two types of invoice lists: LR for invoices and debit memos, LG for credit memos.
Copying requirements must be defined (for example, the payer, terms of payment and other fields that must be identical in the documents to be included in the invoice list)
In addition, before you process an invoice list, you must maintain the following master data:
A customer calendar must be defined, specifying the time intervals or dates on which invoice lists are to be processed.
The customer calendar must be entered in the Billing Sales Area view of the customer master record.
Pricing condition records for the condition type RL00 and, if necessary, (e.g. in Germany) the condition type MW15 must be maintained.
Output condition records for condition types LR00 and RD01 must be created.
    Relationship to Pricing
The system processes factoring discounts in invoice lists in exactly the same way as other kinds of pricing elements. The data for the factoring discount is stored in condition records. Controlling during document processing is carried out via condition types, pricing procedures and access sequences. This control data is defined in Customizing for Sales by your system administrator.
For further information, see  Conditions and Pricing.
    Structure of an Invoice List
An invoice list represents an individual billing document. It consists of a document header and document items. Each item represents a billing document that you have included in the invoice list. The header contains an overview of summary information, such as the net value of all documents in the invoice list, the value of the factoring discount, details of taxes, and so on. It also contains information on partners and output.
    Changing Header and Item Data
You can change some of the header data - for example, the billing date - when you process the invoice list. You can change an item - either an individual or collective invoice - and display document details. However, you cannot change any data in individual billing documents once they are part of an invoice list.
It is possible, however, to make certain global changes to output in all items in an invoice list.
For further information on output, see  Communication in Sales and Distribution Processing.
    Integration With Financial Accounting (FI)
The documents that you want to combine within an invoice list must already have been billed and forwarded to Financial Accounting. Here the billing documents intended for an invoice list are blocked for normal dunning transactions.
The dunning block on FI documents is lifted as soon as you create an invoice list and transfer it to FI . The system then calculates the new dunning date for the invoice on the basis of the invoice list date.
In addition, the system enters invoice list numbers in the FI documents as reference numbers. Invoice list numbers can then be entered for incoming payments.
When you save the invoice list, the system automatically creates an accounting document for the factoring discount and possible taxes and posts it to the corresponding G/L account in FI.

    Murthy

  • How to create Invoice list??

    Hi guyz,
could you please tell me how to create invoice list, i have created sales order, done the delivery, created billing.
    appreciate immediate reply.
    Thanks.
    Mohammed.

    Hi Mohammed,
    To create an invoice list:
    Select the Billing screen.
Depending on the number of billing documents that you want to include, you can choose one of two ways to create the invoice list. You can either
    · Select Invoice list Create and enter each billing document separately
    · Create a list for all billing documents that are relevant for the invoice list. You can then process the work list for invoice lists.
This procedure shows you how to create the work list.
Select Invoice list Edit work list.
Enter your selection criteria and press ENTER.
The system displays a list of billing documents that meet your selection criteria.
Select the billing documents that you want to include in the invoice list and select Invoice list Save.
You can also simulate creation of invoice lists via the work list for invoice lists. This is useful as a test option. The simulation also allows you to carry out a split analysis, which shows you why billing documents are written to different invoice lists (e.g. due to different payers).
Hope with this info you can do it. Pl. reward if it helps.
    Thanks & Regards

  • Dunning Invoice list customers

    Hello!
Many of our customers are on invoice lists and the system seems to automatically put Manual Dunning Block (Block=A) on all those invoices which are being generated for those customers who are on invoice lists. Such invoices then do not appear on the dunning statements. It appears to be a standard SAP functionality?
We obviously need to dunn all customers, whether they get invoices or invoice lists or both. How can we get the system to do that? It also seems to put this block on the canceled invoices (which is logical of course). It is the invoices which release to A/R, not the invoice lists - why would it put this block for such invoices which underlie an invoice list?
Appreciate any help - this is a show stopper to our soon to go-live project!
    Many thanks.

    Thanks, Sridhar.
I do understand that. The customers have to be given invoice lists per the calendar set up in PERRL. We do need to send many customers invoice lists as well as dunning letters. Invoice lists are only a summary of the actual invoices - if the invoice list (and thereby the invoices themselves) are not paid for 60 days if credit terms are only 30 days, we have to dunn those customers. But, with the dunning block coming in automatically in the invoices (and the invoices are in the A/R, not the invoice list), such invoices are not coming in the dunning letters - we need all overdue invoices in the dunning letters (whether they created  a subsequent invoice list or not).Wouldn't all companies want that? How can one not remind a customer a payment is overdue simply because it created an invoice list?!
