• What is a "Abstract Interface" ?

According to JavaDoc,
HttpSession
is described as

What is an "abstract interface" ?

All interface's are implicitly abstract so declaring an interface abstract is a bit pointless.

• What is the Standard Interface of Delivery

Hi,
what is the Standard Interface of Delivery in ECC 6.0,like we have Standard medruck interface in ECC 6.0

You don't talk to a web-service with a stub - you talk to it with SOAP messages sent via HTTP.
What the stub is protecting you from, is having to know how to construct the SOAP messages (which is a really tedious, error-prone process, if you're doing it by hand). Use WSCompile or WSDL2Java, and bless their little hearts every time you make a simple stub-call...

• What is a good interface to get LE's max # of tracks?

I have heard goo things from folks using the FirePod, but what is a good interface for LE to get the max tracks it is capable of?

Hey tele-player! LTNS!
Well, I am still leaning towards the FirePod, but since I have no immediate plans to buy anything, maybe something new will come out by the time I get to a position that I can actually make a purchase.
My day gig is being outsourced to India, and at my age, i really don't want to go out and look for another job. So I plan to do whatever else I can from home to try to make a living. Plus I am gonna get to play out again And I thought maybe I might offer my services to some of the young bands locally to help them record demos. So, this is a "down the road" situation for now. For that, I'll need to get Tiger as well as the FirePod, and a handful more mics than I have for starters.

• Pro Users - What Type Of Audio Interface Do You Use?

I'm thinking of upgrading from this cheap usb, and was wondering what are some models/brands people have that they'd recommend? Preferrably something reasonably priced that's still a quality interface (if this is possible)?

you don't say what your 'cheap usb' interface is that you're currently using.. so it's hard to get any idea how many inputs and outputs you want or need. do you require zero latency monitoring for recording? do you want or need digital i/o? what kind of price range are you thinking? do you have a use for something with good quality mic/instrument preamps or do you already have that covered?
my general rule is to go for the absolute least number of inputs and outputs that you need. I believe it's a better idea that your money goes into quality sound for the amount of i/o channels you actually will use, rather than buying some box with 36 simultaneous bad sounding inputs. many people work almost exclusively using software instruments and audio files inside the box, and when they record, it's only one source at a time. and yet they go buy a MOTU 828 or something cos they think for some reason you're supposed to have lots of i/o just in case. but if you're never going to record a drumkit, or multiple musicians playing at the same time, you're never going to need it.
figure out what your needs are first and then narrow down your choice to the best quality units you can afford that provide the i/o you can ever see yourself using. then, ask around to figure out which ones have the best drivers and sound.
if this is for your macbook, then your best bet is to go for firewire. but if you're also using a FW drive for your audio, you're going to want to be careful they'll play nice together cos they're going to be sharing the same data bus.
lastly, if you only ever need stereo in and out.. you might want to consider getting a device that just works using the optical i/o of your machine. then there are no drivers at all, and the sound quality can be extraordinarily good if you can afford a converter like a rosetta.. all that money will go into absolute premium quality, rather than buying tons of channels that will just gather dust if you have no use for it.

• Whats the best audio interface to use w/new Imac?

Hey now! I;ve just bought a brand new Imac 20"
and I'm wondering whats the best Audio interface to use w/ garageband? Also firewire or USB. I want record guitar, bass, vocals, etc.. thanks!

You may want to ask this question in the GarageBand forums.
USB is cheaper but Firewire is generally better.
PreSonus is a good brand and I think they are class compliant, so no driver needed - plug and play.
M-Audio is another popular brand. Sometimes may have driver issues, though.
But a lot depends on your budget and what your needs are. How many input will you need, etc?
If just for solo recording then the PreSonus Inspire would be good. For a full band their FP10 (Firebox) is great.
Check out this site to get you started (lots of great GB info too):

Also check Sweetwater, MusiciansFriend for interfaces.

• What relationship between RMI interface and stub?

Hi:
I think the stub is enough to remote call, why to use RMI interface? what relationship
between RMI interface and stub?
Regards!
Stive

Hi,
Stub is merely a proxy for server , it doesn't contain any declarations of
remote methods. to which it is being responsible for .
where RMI interface is one which contains signature of the Remote methods which
throws Remote Exception.

• What is virtual template interface

hi all
Please explain me what is vitual template interface and when should used.how can someone used it to bind physical intfaces under virtual templte int?

Hi,
A virtual template interface is used to provide the configuration for dynamically created Virtual-Access interfaces. It is created by users and can be saved in nonvolatile RAM (NVRAM).
Once the virtual template interface is created, it can be configured in the same way as a serial interface.
To create a virtual template interface that can be configured and applied dynamically in creating virtual access interfaces, use the interface virtual-template command in global configuration mode.
Virtual template interfaces can be created and applied by various applications such as Virtual Profiles, virtual private dialup networks (VPDN), PPP over ATM, PPP over Frame Relay, protocol translation, and Multichassis Multilink PPP (MMP).
Following are FR and ATM examples:
interface Serial1/0.1 point-to-point
bandwidth 128
frame-relay interface-dlci 51 ppp Virtual-Template1
class FRTS
interface ATM1/0.52 point-to-point
ip vrf forwarding customer
pvc 101/52
abr 167 167
oam-pvc manage

• What is a "Class Interface"?

I know what a class is; I know what an interface is. Today I was looking at somebodies code, and in SE24 they have defined a "Class Interface", NOT a class or an interface.
Does anybody know:
1) What is the difference between this and an ordinary interface?
2) How do you create it in SE24 (When you create a new entity here it gives the option for "Class" or "Interface", but not "Class Interface"?

What you may be seeing is the description next to the actual class name in SE24, where it says "Class Interface". Is this right? If so, just know that this is a class and the description here is a little misleading. There are only classes and interfaces in regard to obect types, there is not a third.

• What's a good interface to record voice/guitar tracks in Logic Pro

Hello - could you tell me what would be a good interface to record voice/guitar into a Logic Pro project please? Thanks.

re the firmware update - there is talk that this should only be done if you are going to use USB - and also that it needs to be done via Windows.........I am confused re this?
I don't know about that, I don't own a Phonic, but if you only have to do it for USB, well, then there's no problem and you don't have to do anything, so...
Also when you say DAW (what does that stand for?
Digital Audio Workstation; Logic, Cubase, Protools etc are all DAWs. You'll probably encounter this term once in a while...
I just want to make sure and sorry if i sound silly but I should be able to use Phonic as my interface with Logic Pro without using Cubase?
Yes.
