What is 'Authorware Exchange' ?

I've been away from Authorware for a couple of years but may
have a renewed
interest... depending on what Adobe plans to do with the
product.
I see the posting about Authorware Exchange...
Would someone be kind enough to tell me what Authorwre
Exchange is?
Thanks for any help.

Macromedia set up a web site where developers could share
tips. .tricks,
cool code, widgets etc. Samples could be free or charged for.
This is the site
http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/exchange/
Adobe seems to have had support issues with this site. I've
seen several
conversations on these forums where developers have been
complaining at the
lack of support form Adobe. Samples uploaded for review as
much as a year
ago has failed to make it through the 'QA' process and onto
the Exchange.
Adobe are closing several specific Exchanges, and Authorware
is one of them.

  • What is an exchange and how do I find the password in order to add a second iPad to my accunt by restoring from the icloud??

What is an exchange?  I am trying to add a second iPad to my account by restoring/synching from the icloud.  It asks for my exchange password but we do not know what that is.

If you are referring to the service listed in the Mail, Calendars and Contacts area, that refers to Microsoft Exchange, a server system they sell for email, calendaring and address book. If you have such a service, your company will tell you.
Exchange has nothing to do with iCloud, though, so you should not be attempting to set up an Exchange account in your iPad to get synchronization with iCloud. Here's how you set up iCloud on your iPad:

  • How do I know what my Microsoft Exchange server (incoming) is?

I don't know where to check for this info (other than the IT guy), if anyone knows where I can find this online? Much appreciated.

    Ask your systems/network administrators.

  • What is an exchange account

What is an exchange acount, my new Ipad is asking for an Exchange account Pasword.

    Mr. Sampson,
I don't think you understand the problem, so I will explain more clearly using way to much of my actual work time.
I have no problem with my employer or microsoft requiring a poaasword or with my employer requiring me to change that e-mail password.  The problem occurs when the e-mail feature controls the entire iPad, and locks you out from all other functions unless you know the new password.  In the past, when I had to change the password, the only effect was that my e-mail would not download and I could not send from the iPad, but I could use the other apps.
Here is a scenario...least you think this is an imaginary problem. Say, for example, I have to change my password at work so I do, but my husband is using my iPad to score a baseball game for our son on GameChanger.  He gets the pop-up which says incorrect password for Exchange account.  He presses the "Cacncel" button, which should just allow him to use the iPad, but not update the e-mail password.  It does not.  It just keeps popping up over and over and OVER and he cannot use the iPad at all.
Although I did eventually figure out what the problem was after searching the internet for fixes.  Two things need to happen.
    1.  The pop-up needs to be clearer...ie not targeted to computer programers or tech people who think it should be clear to everyone what an exchange account is. (Please refer to your respose which uses terms like "a version of an IMAP account...that's not helpful).  For example, the pop-up could say: "Did you change you outlook (or Gmail or whatever) password.  Please enter the correct password.
    2.  The Cancel button in this pop-up should actually work...to clarify: you should have the option of ignoring the prompt to update your e-mail password, but still be allowed to use other features on you iPad.  Right now, if you select "Cancel" the same pop-up just keeps coming.  That sounds like a pretty bad glitch to me.
I am not sure if you work for Apple, but hopefully this clarification of the problem will prompt Apple to DO SOMETHING TO FIX THIS APPLE problem.

What is an Exchange account? When I open the email app I get the message "Password Incorrect. Enter the password for the Exchange account "Exchange""

An Exchange account is an e-mail account serviced my a Microsft Exchange server... Typically a corporate e-mail account. It used to be possible to configure a free gmail account as an Exchange account, but it is no longer possible to set one up that way.

What's my exchange password for my gmail

if you use an exchange type account for gmail "ie...m.google.com" then your user name will be "[email protected]" and your password is just your password.  I assume you are talking about a corporate google apps account.

  • 17-inch to 15-inch: what is the exchange policy?

    Hi,
So I recently ordered a MacBook Pro 17-inch laptop (the one released on October 24th) with the following specs:
    PROCESSOR     065-C0CD     2.4GHz Quad-core Intel Core i7
    MEMORY     065-C09M     4GB 1333MHz DDR3 SDRAM - 2x2GB
    HARD DRIVE     065-C0GG     750GB Serial ATA Drive @ 7200
    OPTICAL DRIVE     065-C09X     8x Double-Layer SuperDrive
DISPLAY     065-C09Y     MBP 17" HR Glossy WS Display
    DVI Adapter     065-C0C1     None
    VGA Adapter     065-C0C3     None
    REMOTE     065-C0C5     None
KEYBOARD AND DOCUMENTATION     065-C0DK     Keyboard/Users Guide
    COUNTRY KIT     065-C0DM     Country Kit
I've thought about it, and I would rather exchange this for a 15--inch, which is much more portable but has the same tech specs.
I've called the Apple Store in my area and theyre willing to do an exchange, but I'm not really sure what that entails, and I was too busy this morning to remember to ask.
So would all the tech specs be the same for the 15" MacBook Pro I exchange my 17" for (including the High-Res Display)? What about the extra value of the 17", which costs around $300 more? Can I use that credit towards increasing my RAM, or does that money disappear?
Bonus question: what is a country kit?

Here is Apples return policy: http://store.apple.com/us/open/salespolicies. Also, I would suggest looking elswhere for ram  you can find it much cheaper elsewhere and with a lifetime guarantee: http://eshop.macsales.com/shop/memory/Apple_MacBook_MacBook_Pro/Upgrade/DDR3_133 3MHz_SDRAM
Country kit refers to the keyboard..example qwerty for USA azerty for France etc. Also th plug it comes with, as diffrent countries have different style power outlets.
And no Apple will not keep the difference in price: "For returns to an Apple Retail Store for cash, cash equivalent, and check transactions over $250, Apple will mail a refund check to you within 10 business days."

  • What new in Exchange 2013 DAG

    Hi Team,
What's the difference between Ex2010 & Ex2013 on DAG enviroment.

    Hi,
The articles provided above are very helpful, one thing I like is that we can now use a third location for hosting the witness server. This is not recommended or not possible in previous versions of Exchange.
If you deploy the DAG's witness server in the third location, then the DAG can automatically failover databases to the other datacenter in response to a datacenter-level failure event. In Exchange 2010, we have to failover to another datacenter manually.
    Best regards,

  • What is the Exchange 2010 maximum mailbox database size that is support by MS in a single DAG environment?

    My Exchange setup:
    Exchange 2010 Enterprise
    2 mailbox servers
    2 CAS, 2 HT
12 mailbox databases. The total of all databases combine is about 2TB. The largest mailbox databases are 530GB, 250GB, and 196GB. Are this over the supported recommendations?
    bl

2TB, look at the second article but best practice 200GB or less

  • What messages are exchanged in InMem Rep ?

    Hello..
I'm measuring the performance of session state replication..
I'd like to understand internal process for session replicaton..
              Please let me know
how many message is exchanged for one replication.
and if possible how long the message is and what's the content of the
              message in details..
              Thanks in advance..

I think WLS documenation mentions somewhere that point-to-point (TCP) is
used for state replication and also it says:
Use setAttribute to Change Session State
In an HTTP servlet that implements javax.servlet.http.HttpSession, use HttpSession.setAttribute
(which replaces the deprecated putValue) to change attributes in a session object. If you set
attributes in a session object with setAttribute, the object and its attributes are replicated
in a cluster using in-memory replication. If you use other set methods to change objects within
a session, WebLogic Server does not replicate those changes. Every time a change is made to an
object that is in the session, setAttribute() should be called to update that object across the
              cluster.
Likewise, use removeAttribute (which, in turn, replaces the deprecated removeValue) to remove an
              attribute from a session object.

  • What is the Exchange Internet account?

I opened the Internet Accounts window to connect to my Google account and see something called the Exchange account already set up.  I didn't set this up and want to know what it is so I can decide if I should keep it.  The account shows my gmail address which adds to the confusion.
    Thanks,
    Joel

An Exchange account is for the Microsoft email systems. that could include the MS Outlook.com address or any email provider, corporate or otherwise, that uses the Microsoft Exchange server systems for mail.
You can click on that account and view its details. Do you have any type of account that connects to Microsoft?

  • What is Microsoft Exchange?

I'm a Macster and have no idea. I just watched Jobs' keynote at WWDC where he says the iPhone G3 will have Micro$oft Exchange. Wikipedia only has results for Micro$oft Exchange Server; appears to be email technology from Win98; EG Outhouse Express. Hmmm. Be gentle.

Because, like it or not, Exchange is actually one of the better bits of server software from Redmond, and widely used in corporate environments.
If Apple wants to push the iPhone into the corporate world (and they want to), then they have to support MS Exchange.
I'm not really surprised by the Exchange support in the iPhone... However, i am suprised that MS Exchanged is listed above MobileMe in the new account creation screen.
