What is being backed up during a back up?

The reason I ask is because I needed to restore to 2.1 after I installed 3.0. I'm was having all the issues being posted lately.
Anyway after the install all my apps have reverted back with none of the user saved info. So all my games are starting from scratch and any other info apps like "notes", "facebook" etc have lost allmy personal info. So I was just wondering is that stuff backed up during a itunes backup or is that stored on the ipod within the apps themselves? Understand my question? So is there anyplace that "app" info is stored and retrievable? Any input is appreciated.

Ohh someone has to know what's backed up and how to get my "APP" info back. My software is fine. It's just since I went back to older software from 3.0 my app info is gone. So I would like to find it and bring it back to its state before the 3.0 backup. I had read something about option clicking the name of your ipod in the far left hand column and use "restore from backup. If that's the case it would still restore from the "new" backup info. Sooooo I want the older backup info to restore from. I just need to know how to do it. I DO HAVE time machine backing me up so I should be able to restore from those files. I just need to know how. Sorry for the looooong winded description.

Your iCloud account stores your iOS device backups as well as your synced data (contacts, calendars, notes, etc.) and iCloud email (if you have an iCloud email account). You can see how much is being used on your iPad by going to Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup>Manage Storage.
If you want to purchase more iCloud storage, you can do this on any of your iOS devices or computers that are signed into your iCloud account, as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4874.

You should be importing all pics taken with the iphone to your computer regularly as you would with any digital camera.

Will iPod be backed up during upgrade?

Hello all,
I am in the middle of a move. The desktop that has all my media on it is on a boat somewhere in the Pacific and not scheduled to arrive until next month. I have my iPod hooked up to my laptop for the time being (syncing calandar and to charge).
What I want to know is if my songs, pictures, etc., will be backed up during the upgrade or is it going to wipe all of those off since I'm not on the computer that stores the media. (My laptop has no songs, pics, anything) Nearly all of my mp3's are from ripped CDs...

Yes I am. I really am not sure exactly where all of the information is being stored. In your case I might be tempted to make sure that you have manually transferred anything that you want to keep to the laptop from which you will be doing the upgrade.
It did inform me that a movie that I rented will not be backed up, but that particular movie had expired anyway.
It is still backing up.

I D/L'd a trial version of LR 5 and lost all my catalog and collections in LR 4. What can I do to get them back?

Yesterday I D/L'd a trial version of LR 5.6 and during installation it seemed to be copying my catalog from my LR 4.4. Now nearly all of my catalog and all my collections in LR 4 have disappeared. What has happened to them andhow do I get them back. The original photos seem to still be available in the myphotos directory on the computer, but without any of my lightroom editing.

The funny thing is, I recall distinctly setting up the DHCP reservation initially, but when I went to check it now, the reserved client list was empty. I have no idea how it could have become depopulated, thus opening the door for internal IP address reassignment of the Remote Desktop computer which led to the RDP ports no longer being forwarded to the right internal IP address and thus the failure of the Remote Desktop connectivity.

Did you have TM turned on at any time? If so, and if you had no external hard drive attached, could it be that it created its own backup on a portion of your hard drive? I don't use TM, but I believe I read that this may be possible. Take a look at Disk Utility (Applications > Utilities) and report what you see on the left - under the top heading, is there more than one partition showing, such as here:

Sound keeps buzzing during play back

I have recently bought the HP Pavilion lap top and when I have come to listen to tracks either those on the hard drive or via apps like Spotify the sound occassionally stutters and is buzzing during the songs, any suggestions on how to fix this problem?

Hi Denzel6362, sorry to hear that you are having a issue with buzzing during play back on your computer. What is the exact model number of your computer? On the bottom of the computer you will see a white sticker, you will find the product number on he sticker by a bar code. Hope to hear from you soon so we can get this issue resolved for you.

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities
When you turn on the new iMac for the first time, Setup Assistant will ask you to restore a backup, so connect the external disk and follow steps to restore all your files to your new iMac. Your new Mac will have the same settings and programs as your old computer.
In other cases, I would recommend to restore the whole backup without using Migration Assistant or Setup Assistant, but a Late 2012 iMac uses a special OS X build, so the OS X version that you're using on your old Mac won't work on the new one. managed beans and backing beans are quite the same in that the Java object is managed by the JavaServer Faces framework. Manage in this respect means instantiation. The difference is that backing beans contain component "binding" references, which managed beans usually don't. Do backing beans are page specific versions of managed beans.
Managed beans are configured either in the faces-config.xml file, or using ADF Faces and ADFc, in the adfc-config.xml file

Find My iPhone is good for misplaced iPhone but not good for thief and it was never meant to be.
You chance of getting it back is very small.
There are a few things you can try.
Try remote lock/wipe your iPhone through Find My iPhone.

You can report to the police, cell carrier (expensive cell charges for international calls, roaming etc)
Change all the passwords used in iPhone: Apple ID, E-mail, Bank Account ....

Your contacts are helpd on the server, so if you sign out from your iCloud account and sign into another one they will disappear. If you sign back into the original account they will reappear.

I get the impression that most of the users on older hardware experiences similar temperature issues on Lion for a long time now. Awaiting for confirmation from the original poster.
In the meantime I'm just cautious with regards to pushing the machine to such extreme temps, since something tells me such behaviour which includes monitor flickering and the likes is nothing but abnormal for any type of use...

Content bought using one Apple ID cannot be merged or transferred to another Apple ID.
