WE have both a white and black iPad and iPhones .
White and black are both the same hardware, unless you get a bigger hard drive .
Its a personal preference...
I prefer the black because I find it let's me focus on the screen better, the white seems to stand out and is distracting and I think it looks kind of cheap.
My wife prefers the white though, she likes to see its clean and she thinks it looks more high end.

I have a Gmail and a Hotmail account. I configured both of them to forward mail to my iCloud account. That works seamlessly and my iOS devices are staying within the ecosystem and not having to constantly negitiate with the other mail servers. -

If you are talking about the iPod touch 5th Gen, I think the iPod touch is the best bet. They both have the A5 Dual-Core Processor but the iPod touch has the 4-inch retina display (1024 by 640- Which is 326 Pixels per inch), is better in portability and had better camera. If you mean the iPod touch 4th Gen, that is tough but I think the iPod touch 4th Gen is better because even though the iPod touch 4th Gen has an A4 Single Core Processor, it has the 3 inch retina display (960 by 640- Which is also 326 Pixels per inch), the price is less and the camera is the same. So overall, the iPod touch is the best bet!

Which is better white ipad or black ipad?
I want to get the new ipad and I have gone to the store and seen both the black and the white one. But sometimes there are limits to what you can do. I want to know how they compare.
Of course I know color is my preference. But from someone who has used either. Which is better for viewing movies and photos? I would assume black, but then I have read a few that said the white makes everything pop and look better. They advertised the white more, but then in some ads show the iphoto on the black one ?
Any views?

My ipad is stuck inbetween on and off. The screen is black with the white apple in the middle of the screen. It won't turn off and won't come completely on. Anyone know what is wrong?
See if this lets the iPad start up.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up. -
I am having trouble after loading the 8.1 operating system on my ipad.

I started loading 8.1 about 5 hours ago and it is still sitting with the black screen with the progress bar underneath. It shows that it is almost done loading - just has a tiny bit of the progress bar left.

It would not do anything. I thought I was doomed. I accidentay left it sitting overnight without plugging it Back into the charger. I meant to but got sidetracked and thought it was plugged in. During the night the battery was totally drained so this morning my iPad was dead. I plugged it into the charger and after a few minutes the battery icon came up showing it was charging. I gave it about 30 minutes and then turned it on and the new operating system came up. It looks like it might be ok now. I can't say I recommend this, but it worked for me.

Ipad has black screen with white bar
My ipad2's screen has gone blank. after leaving it uncharged for a good 18 hours. I switched it on to see a blank, black sceen with a white bar moving downwards accross the screen this fades to black.
I have tried charging it for a good 7 hours as I thought maybe the battery has run down and caused this.
I have also tried resetting by pressing the on/off and home button together for 10-15 secs but no luck.
My ipad still synches to my imac okay. I have restored it to factory settings. This didn't help the problem either.
This actually happened when first took the brand new ipad out of the box and tried turning it on for the first time. But it revived itsself after synching to my imac and being on charge for a few minutes. The support technition I spoke to at the time didnt really know why it did this but suggested it was a very low batterry issue. Although I am inclined to think its something else, now its happened again and charging does not seem to work.
Has anyone had the same problem? If so what did you do? Any suggestions on how to fix it would be gratefully recieved.

Since you just want generic advice, I'd suggest you do a web search for "ipad versus laptop". You'll find a number of sites that discuss the tradeoffs and avantages for either option.

I would have to say the iPod Touch 5th Gen. because its more portable and costs less but iPad have its own PROS like better internet surfing and you can do alot more things on it but the choice is yours. Oh and just a side note, I bet they are just gonna make a new iPad soon so if i were you stick with iPod Touch 5th Gen.

ipad 4 frozen during update ios 8.1.3. - did anybody know how to restart (or reset) my ipad4 from black screen with white apple logo?
Hi there did you end up getting this resolved? I have the same exact same issue with my Ipad 4 when updating to 8.1.3....frozen on the apple logo. Tried resetting as advised by other users but just goes back to the same logo. Tried connecting to iTunes but device is not picked up at all. Left it over night to run flat hoping charging might kick start something....but when I put on the charger it shows the battery charge icon but won't actually charge it. It's really doin my head in trying to find a fix - cheers Morgan

Screen difference between black iPad and white iPad?
I have a black iPad 3 which I bought about 3 weeks ago. My mum has a white one which she got a couple of days later.
Now I never noticed till today but the screens seem slightly different. I can't exactly pinpoint why, but sometimes the white looks sharper, ever so slightly, and the whites seem more white than on mine. Mine appear to be more of a dull white, but am not sure.
Could this be the case, or is it just because the bezel makes it appear different?Whether there's any actual difference is impossible to say since we can't see your iPads. I can assure you that the only intended difference is the color of the casing. If you believe your screen is off, take it an Apple Store or Apple dealer and compare with their demo units. Note that the backlight level will affect how the screen looks, so that may account for at least part of any difference.
