What is Bluetooth for in iPhone?
May sound strange, but just consider: if one can't send files via Bluetooth to any non-Apple device and can connect it via Wi-Fi using iCloud only to Apple devices (or Windows PC) then what is it designed for in iPhones?
No, I hadn't had any idea of them until your mentioning, its existance was kind of revelation to me. Of course I did!!

What user troubleshooting have you done on the phone? The steps are restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new. Understand that a restore will put the latest iOS on your device. It is also possible there is a hardware fault on the device and the Bluetooth is failing. Anything is possible given the scenario you describe.
And as far as iOS 7.x is concerned, we have 5 different iPhones here at home, all with the latest iOS, a 4, 4s, 5c, and 2-5s and all are working just fine. So, a blanket statement such as the one provided by the other poster is not completely true. Others are not having any issues at all either. -
Is there a plan to implement remote sim feature in Bluetooth for the iPhone?
A lot of smartphones in the market implement remote sim profile (rsap) that let handsfree car systems to control remotely the sim card located in the phone. This feature uses external antenna of the vehicle and while connected reduces power consumption in the phone. Is there any reason to avoid this function in the bluetooth profile in the iPhone?

I Bought the iPhone 5s just two weeks ago at the Apple shop in Gateshead ... I particularly asked if there would be a reduction in price for the 5s, when the iPhone 6 came out and was told definatly NO !!!! Checking Apple website today I find the 6 is actually cheaper than than what I paid for the iPhone 5s , and that the iPhone 5s now has a huge reduction !!! i am disgusted at this ...the information I received was not correct and I could have waited 2 weeks and bought the new one, or the 5s at a reduced price ..... I will be contacting Apple head office .... If I can find an e mail link for them or a telephone number (UK)

What would you consider to be the "best" non-bluetooth headset for the Iphone 5? I have had some serious health issues of which could be stemming from the bluetooth and I need great sound quality both listening and speaking. Any suggestions?
Problem with wired headsets is that there is not std for mic in headsets so if its not 100 % made for iphones it will not work

There is no password to Thunderbird. The password you need is to the email account. Contact the email provider for password reset.

Hello everybody, Im trying to update my ITunes on my MAC (laptop) to the newer version so I can then be able to update the latest updates for my Iphone-3G. I don’t require a complete reinstall just need to be able to update my itunes.
What I have tried so far is I had my MAC search for update’s and it said that I should update to (ITunes version 10 . 6 . 3 ) So I asked it to do the update but after 2hrs of waiting for it to download/update it then puts up a message saying the following- (In order to continue installation, please close the following application: ITunes).
When I tried to do this another message comes up that says- (The update ITunes can’t be installed. The following install step failed: run preupgrade script for Apple mobile device support. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance.)
I have also tried to run the update while having closed ITunes before I even start the update but the same problem happens after waiting about 2hrs.
Some one that had the same problem said this might be happening in the older operating systems. But that does not make sense because surely Apple want customers who own a MAC and i-phone to still buy from iTunes.
My MAC is about 4-5years old. I have a i-phone.3G,

I started with one itunes account for my iphone and ipad, and now have a second ipad linked to the same itunes. Can I set up a new itunes account for one ipad without losing what has already been downloaded on it? I want to stop my husbands downloads appearing on my ipad, and vice versa.
A much simpler solution would be to go into Settings > Store and turn off Automatic Downloads

I have paid for itunes match and have now lost all my music off my iphone except what I paid for from itunes, 964 songs gone into the cloud. Can anyone help please?
Enabling iTunes Match does not delete music from your computer. Why do you think it is now not in the iTunes library if it was before? If all of your music was in the iTunes library then it is also now in the cloud if iTunes has completed it's scan and all the music meets the match requirements. Enable the iCloud Status column in the iTunes browser by switching to Song view and pulling down View > View Options. Select iCloud Status then close the small window. Sort on the new column. Your music should be listed as "purchased," "matched" and "uploaded." Some tracks may be "ineligible." Post back and let us know.

We use one ID for the Apps store for 2 iPhones. In the second profile on the Macit is impossible to update apps there is a mistake. What is the decision?
This happens when you both use the same Apple ID for iMessage. To fix this you have two choices:
On one of the phones go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive, tap the ID, sign out, then sign back in with a different ID. Note: you can still share the same ID for purchasing in Settings>iTunes & App Stores; or
On both phones go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive and uncheck the email address(es) shown under "You can be reached by iMessage at". Also uncheck the other phone's phone number, if present. -

I was trying to take my Mac air to factory default settings.
I've done all that it says in the documment i was following, and them during the process it asked me the APPLE ID.
I put the apple id i have in my iphone. But it's not the one... it's said that i don't have any OSX associated with it... so it can not install the OSX.

My Iphone 4 isn't working, It got wet and now I have it in a bag of rice. I heard that I should not try to turn it on or mess with the power button, so I haven't. It makes sounds when I get a text message but the screen is blank., I have tried to contact apple support online and it tries to send my iphone a message, but because it doesnt work, I can't receive it, so if I decline the "health check" then it says that it's "unable to complete my request at this time. Please try again in a few minutes or start over now." I have tried this several times and it's still not letting get any help. I don't know what to do. Someone please help. How did you get help with your phone when it got messed up or damaged?

-ShannbudA wet phone is out of warranty. This is considered user damage. Even if you were able to get it to start now, the chances of it working for long are slim. I suggest going to Apple and see about an OOW replacement. One for the iPhone 4 is only $149USD and it would come with a short warranty. It is a refurbished device and you would not be worried about encountering additional problems.
