Hi,
Business process is a sequence of activities that are performed in a business. This process adds value,say ,vendor invoice processing is a business process.It involves so many stages like recieving PRs,PO processing,invoice verification etc.
This is brief about BP.

Business System
1) Business system is a logical system, and there is an importance on physical existence of the system.
2) Also SLD entry is required.
3)It is generally used for SAP applications, this is just a general prinicple followed but not mandatory.
4)This is defined as part of the SLD and is a physical system whose parameters are well defined.
5(Business systems refers to the physical systems, for instance the R/3 system. You define the business systems in the SLD
Business Service
1) You use a Business Service, when you do not have the System details of the the partner system to which you want to communicate. i.e. you have not configured the partner system in SLD.
2) Business Service is an Absract Unit with Sender and Receiver Interfaces,In this case you need to explicitly add the message interfaces while doing configuration in ID.
3) It is generally used for NON-SAP applications, this is just a general prinicple followed but not mandatory.
4) This is not defined as part of SLD and whose technical parameters are not completely known.
5)Business service is used when the message is not addressed to a business system. It is used mostly in B2B scenarios.

What is Business Object!?

Hi everybody,
I'm newby in all of this, i mean SAP, i do some things in PI, but now i need to work with Business Objects, and i really don't have idea. I was looking for information about it but i didn't find something that explain what is business objects in technical way, like development, what do i need to develop?
What is the first thing that i need to install?
where can i find it (application, executable) to download?
Is a Web Server or Application Server, necessary?
I tried to find all the technical aspects (like BO theory) and the architecture for BO, but nothing clear yet. I only found funtional foundations, like the propose of the BO and the characteristics, but not how does it work!!.
Could anybody help me please?

Learning BO would be a very smooth, I can assure you a pleasant run; if you are a BI consultant, I advise you to first install BO Edge which is free on SAP site at "Free Trials"

and start with the below link to get hold of the user guides and start familiarising with first the universe and then the Desktop Intelligence/Web Intelligence.

Business content is the function of dataware house workbench.It consists of preconfigured infoobjects,infocubes,Queries,Infosources.What we will do is transfer them according to our requirement in the project.

Hi Shashikanth,
Most of the transaction that you carry out in CRM are Business Transaction. E.G. Service Contract, Activities, Lead, Task etc.
Business Transactions are further divided into Subobject Category, these Subobject Categories are again subdivided into Transaction Type.
Categorization of CRM Business Transaction based on Subobject Category
Business Transaction Name SUBOBJECT CATEGORY
Activity BUS2000126
Service Contract BUS2000112
Lead BUS2000108
Opportunity BUS2000111
Task BUS2000125
Utility contract item BUS2000147
Note:
1. For Example if you want to retrieve all the activities in CRM, pass the OBJECT_TYPE as BUS2000126 in CRMD_ORDER_INDEX table.
2. The Subobject Category can be customized for a business transaction from the transaction SPRO.
Partner : Partner is a 10 char number used to identify Business Partner in the system.
PArtner GUID : It is global unique identifier to identify the partner globally.
As such there is no difference in partner and partner guid, both refer to the same entity in CRM and are unique across the system. Refer the table BUT000.
Same applies to product and product guid. Refer the table CRMM_PRODUCT.

What SAP Business Objects Web Services to use with XI3.0

I'm new to BO and is tasked to install it.
What I've installed already is the BOE XI3.0 version and now want to install Xcelsius 2008 Enterprise.
What I can not figure out from the Xcelsius manual or SDN or OSS is what the Business Objects Web Services are the manual instructs you to install with Xcelsius.
I did find something called
BusinessObjects Web Services XI for Windows and downloaded it but is not sure if this is what I need to install as the business Object Web Services on XI 3.0
Can someone please direct me in the correct direction

Hi,
i am not sure if i understand your question. If you mean Query as a Webservice (QaaWS), this component should be part of your XI 3.0 Enterprise installation. You could also use the flynet (www.flynet.co.uk) which is part of Xcelsius Enterprise 2008 SP1.

Below is the exact requirement .... but there is no event generate right now ... I feel that there are some configurations need to be done ..for the event to be generated ...
It will be great if you have any idea about the configurations .. .
Objective:
When loan contract fees and repayment are posted from Treasury to GL, workflow should be activated to:
a. Insert a payment block 'Z' in the document (Will need to create a user-table to define the criteria where payment block is to be inserted), AND
b. Route the document for approval.
If amount < 10,000, only 1 level approval
If amount > 10,000, 2 levels approval required.

still to clearly understand it will give you an outline format.
business process of any company in SD particularly:
Pre-sales:creating quotation or inquiries
Sales:convert quotations to sales orders
Procurement:get the material ready to be shipped as per sales order
Delivery: arranging the deliv products to customer
Shipping:the assignement of products economically to be reached at the customers place.
Billing: bill the customer for the material
Payment collection: post the payment in the customers account.
