what is change header / detals tables

Hi,
Can anyone tell me in which table are the changes made, the old and the new value, saved? Is it CDHDR, CDPOS (some thread said it was CDPOS)?
Someone said that CDCLS is a cluster. What information does it contain?
I did a trace run of the execution of display of change documents. Under the consolidated view, only tables CDHDR and CDCLS were accessed. In indeed the new and old values are stored in CDPOS, then why did it not appear in the trace?

Hi ,
There are few ways by which u can trace the Changes made by User.
1. Goto Tcode SE03
2. Double click on Search for objects in Requests/Tasks
3. Enter the table/view name you want to find the changes in.
4. Execute.
In this case, you will find all the change request/tasks that were used to make modifications in the table. Provided, you have settings to record all the chanes made in your SAP system in change requests.
Go to SE11---> Select Display mode
Go to Utilities Tab---->Version--> version Management
check out the last change in the transport request.
Otherwise Checkout for the attributes of the table in SE11 transaction.

Project cost plan Header Data table ( PS module - T.code CJR2)

I am working on PS module where we have to build a integration between PS Cost plan (At WBS Element level) to SD Quotation. I have to use transaction CJR2 for this. we will add the custom field 'Indicator' on the initial screen of transaction CJR2 for this. I want to know what is the HEADER DATA table for Project Cost Plan, so i can add this custom field in that table and letter on use in CJR2.
If someone have done any kind of modification for work on CJR2 transaction, please provide me some information on this since i am first time working on PS module. I need some information on modifying the initial screen on transaction CJR2.

How do I make a JTable's header sorting actually change the actual table?
Currently, I'm using
table.setAutoCreateRowSorter(true);to allow the user to sort the table.
However, I want to be able to load something based on the selected row's index. The problem is that when the table is rearranged, the change appears to only be local, in other words, the actual table isn't changing.
For instance:
index 0 "A"
index 1 "B"
index 2 "C"
Sorted in reverse gives me
"C"
"B"
"A"
But C is still index 2 (instead of 0).

can any one say when the sales order is changed in the T code. va02 ( just changed the address )
the condition table is changing its values like vat is getting zero .
can any one please say the reason behind it .

Evertime you change the sales order (it's not important what you change) the pricing is calculated again.
It seems the system can't calculate the header conditions again so they are reset...why? Probably it depends on your pricing procedures

Hi,
Change pointers are R/3 objects that mark changes to SAP master data. Change pointers are managed by mechanisms in a Shared Master Data (SMD) tool and are based on Change Document (CD) objects. CD objects record the changes occurring to master data at a field level. These changes are stored in tables CDHDR (header table) and CDPOS (detail table). ALE configuration provides a link between CD objects and change pointers. Internal mechanisms update tables BDCP and BDCPS, which host the change pointers. While CD objects are application-data-specific, the processing status of change pointers is message-type-specific. Also, the ALE change pointers are activated first at a general level and then at the message-type level.
ALE provides powerful capabilities to capture changes occurring to master data and to distribute them via the IDOC interface. This feature can be used to keep two or more systems synchronized with respect to master data.
Steps to configure change Pointers:
1.Activate the change pointers globally(BD61)
2.Activate the change pointers for individual message types(BD50)
3.Schedule the program RBDMIDOC to run periodically on the sending system.
To Delete Change pointers use transaction BD22 and the standard program is RBDCPCLR
Remember You can see a check box in Further characteristics tab of the data element ( se11>enter data element>Further characteristics tab) for change document.
This check box is to bo checked to trigger change pointers.

What is the purpose of table STXL in reference to Smartforms

I am new to Smartforms and want to know what is th purpose of table STXL in Smartforms.

STXL table contains information related to Long texts entered in SAP for different transactions.
Ex: If Purchase order header text is maintained(ME21N) then there will be an entry in STXL table with the following entry:
TDOBJECT will be EKKO (PO table),
TDNAME will be PO Number,
TDID will be F01 (PO header text) and
TDSPRAS will be EN ( or any logon lanugage by which the text is entered)
So these four field information is required to access the text for display, so if you know the PO number (or any document) then u can check its corresponding texts maintained in SAP in STXL table and use these ID's in Smartforms.
Advantage in smartforms : To display these texts in smartforms need to create a text, change its type to include text in general attributes of text. Then provide the 4 field information to display the text instead of calling a function module READ_TEXT to read the text, get the text in internal table and finally display.

Finding changes in SAP tables

Hi,
I have problem with SAP - Cognos interface. It functions like an ABAP program that generates a file from spec. fields of some SAP tables like BKPF, BSEG, BSID, BSIK, etc. And this is all OK, but problem is that report always selects ALL data, and in FI case(those table that I mentioned) this is complicated. For example one item is in some period open item, and in few days it will go to closed items. As COGNOS interface runs once in a Month or something like that, it is problem how to select proper data, because of huge amount FI data.
Any Idea how to select only changes at table level? This must be also applicable to MM, SD and CO data. I thought of CHANGE DOCUMENTS, but what if change is not traced in CDHDR table because some data element is used in SAP table is not check to be observed as Change Document?

For the changes, when ever there is a change done in the system a change number is created which will be available in table CDHDR, based on the Object classes extract the data and the required dates of changes made pull out the data.
In case for AP, AR, G/L you can check with some tables ( there are some tables which will be only be updated based in the process AP/AR/GL ). Based on the list of these tables, extract data from table CDPOS using the Change Number obtained from CDHDR.

Change header pricing condition in sales order

I have an requirement in VA01 and VA02 to automatically edit one header pricing condition. The user can able to change the value of that condition type in header not in items . Does anyone know what user exit I can use for this requirement.

Plealse find below 2 methods to change header pricing conditions in sales order.
1.Goto SE38, give prog name as MV45AFZZ and in that write logic under USEREXIT_PRICING_PREPARE_TKOMK . (OR)
2) The same can be done by creating a Alt Calculation type routine through VOFM and writng the logic in the routine, which will then be assigned to the pricing procedure in the condition type which will automatically calculate the condition.
Try with the options mentioned above..

BADI ME_PROCESS_PO_CUST for changing header data

Hello Experts,
I'm using Method PROCESS_HEADER in Badi ME_PROCESS_PO_CUST in order to change some header data.
I want to change header data depending on the partner data which are on header level.
It works fine as long as there are data changed in the header or item level and not only on the partner screen.
The method in this Badi isn't processed if only partner data are changed. But for me it is necessary to set a special field on the header depending on the partner data.

Firstly, for changing Header data without any INSERT/UPDATE?MODIFY statement, badi - ME_PROCESS_PO_CUST will not be useful.
As method you mentioned has no header parameters under CHANGING / EXPORTING clause.
You can use the badi which has the parametrs you want in either change/ Export mode. It can be defined under table also.
Below is the list of important badis gettign called, however none of them contains header values in change/export clause.
