The customizing related to the Marketing Plan, Campaign and Campaign Elements can be found under SPRO->CRM->Marketing.
Most of the steps need to be performed here.

Marketing Plan Element Authorization

Dear All,
We are working on SAP CRM 2007 and have a business requirement.
We want to make a role that can only approve or release marketing projects. We do NOT want this role to be able to create anything like marketing plan, marketing plan element or campaign. The marketing project constitutes of marketing plan, marketing plan elements and campaigns
We managed to make it work for campaigns and marketing plans but we cannot exclude marketing plan elements.
The user is stil able to create them.
Does anyone knows a way to fix this????

Hello Michalis ,
You may make use of filed called Authorization Group
In this activity, you define authorization groups for use in Marketing. Authorization groups can be maintained at both marketing plan level and campaign or trade promotion level. Authorization groups enable you to control which users are authorized to change which of these two types of marketing project. You could, for example, define one authorization group to be assigned to a marketing plan, then define further authorization groups to be assigned to the different campaigns within the marketing plan. In Marketing, the Authorization Group field is located under General Data.
The path of this is Customer Relationship Management>Marketing>Marketing Planning and Campaign Management>General Settings>Define Authorization Group
Once you have defined authorisation group, the campaign needs to be updated with this particular field.
This auth group field needs to be updated for following object in PFCG role for Change & display activities.
CRM_MPLRES CRM CRM Markeitn: Person Responsible for a Marketing Plan
Another option would to use object "CRM_MPT CRM Authorization Object CRM Marketing BusObject Marketing Plan."
This way you might be able to control the create authorisation for the user.

Ok you have BP Guid. You goto table AUSP and enter the PARTNER_GUID = BP GUID and check contents. Here you will get all the attribute list (field ATINN) and corresponding values of attributes (field ATNAM). But here in this table u will find ATINN in form of number; using that number you can find corresponding attribute name in field ATNAM of table CABN where ATINN = ATINN u got in the AUSP for each attribute rows.

Authorization object for Marketing Plan Element

Hi All,
If user is authorized to create marketing plan then system by default providing authorization to create "Marketing Plan element" as well. Can user be restrict from creating MP element in system particularly in marketing calendar? I am using authorization objects as CRM_MPT, CRM_MPLRES, CRM_MPLCTP, CRM_MPLAGR.

Start Authorization Trace in tcode ST01 and see what all authorization checks get executed.
Later on from this trace you can identify the authorizations.

Hi, can anyone enlighten me on the licensing terms for Creative Cloud Market Assets? I have seen this question asked in the forum before, but as yet there's been no answer (or no helpful answer).
For example, although royalty free, does the licence exclude items for resale? For example:
• Can a CC Market pattern be used on a mug for resale?
• Can a CC Market pattern be used as an allover print on accessories? ie a children's bag

Authorization Group in Campaign and Marketing plan

Hi,
I have a requirement as campaigns assigned with "X" authorization group, should be viewed/changed by certain set of users. How can I do this? I have created 3 authorization group and assigned to user's PFCG role and also in 3 different campaigns viz but system allowing user to make changes in all of them. Am I missing something?

I have campaign type lets say "Brand Promotion". User should be able to change/view/delet/create it. But if the authorization group say XXXX assigned to this campaign and if user is not give authorization for this auth group in role under object CRM_CPGAGR ,then user should not be allowed to make changes in the campaign. How can I achieve both of these functionality together? which are all auth objects involved in this?
I want to restict user from changing campaign if not allowed for XXXX authorization group. Even if he is allowed for campaign type "Brand Promotion".

Do the following customiseing settings for Marketing calender.
Define search criteria
Assign Search Criteria
Assign Graphic Profile for Marketing Calendar
marketing calender in PCUI
Define Views for Marketing Calendar
You can use marketing plan and campaign to create from marketing calender dropdown values in pcui in GUI as well when you select marketing plan you will get graphical bar to select double click on it will take you through marketing planner where you define marekting plan and you can change the dates usering the graphical bar by dragging as per date option you can set colours as per your marketing and campaign types as well.
also apply snotes if you are working on CRM 5.0
Note 941526 PCUI calendar. With related notes 948988 Marketing Calendar does not print in its entirety ,

Is Nokia ready for high end market?

It is the time of smartphones. With the introduction of 3G, distance and speed are not a barrier at all. Prediction is that, we will see a shift from laptop to smartphones, something we experienced a few years ago when laptop replaced desktops. So, is Nokia really ready for this competitve market? I believe they are still not ready looking at the way they support N series and E series.
My horror story started the day I purchased my N96, exactly 4 months back. I have been watching the developments of N95 and wanted to own one. Nokia released N96 by the time I made my decision. The problem started when I started seeing low memory errors. To my surprise, I noticed that Nokia uses phone memory for messages and N-gauge. Configuring "mass memory" as the storage for messages didn't solve the problem completely as it failed to move all messagesI searched for some file explorer kind of applications to explore and clean phone memory. I wish if Nokia had one. The solution given to me by Nokia support was to reset the phone. And, that cleared all data from my phone. So, here are a list of my pain points
- Does Nokia expect us to reset phone for every small issues. Note that, these are not just phones, but smart phones. More than contacts, I have my personal data, bookmarks, configurations, rss feeds, video feeds, radio stations, podcasts, GPS locations, blogging tools, applications etc. installed. Getting back the phone in the same state will take days after a hard reset. Do I agree if my laptop service center tells me that they have to format my harddisk everytime I take my laptop for servicing? Nokia Care's standard answer is to update the firmware (though I have the latest firmware) and reset the phone for any issues. I only wish if Nokia trained their technicians to handle smartphones.
- N96 reboots when I use GPS 50% of the times (when you use it for longer duration either with google map or Nokia map or sports tracker)
- Phone hangs when you move from wifi hotspot to other places while wifi scan is going on (I don't see this issue after upgrading to 12.043)
- There is no way to restart the phone when the phone hangs. You have to take out the battery and put it back.
- I get disconnected frequently when I'm on long calls. Though I can blame my network provider, I know its not completely because of them. My N70 doesn't have this problem.
- I have been having a long battle with Nokia support and bluetooth issues. I tried to use Motorola HT820 headset with this phone. Phone hangs or reboots 90% time when I turn on the headset. Nokia's standard answer is that Motorola HT820 is not a supported accessory. I agree, but is it acceptable if phone reboots or hangs when I tried to use an unsupported accessory? Only way to reboot the phone when it hangs is to remove the battery and place it back. Why can't they give a reset switch hidden somewhere if they can't write bugfree code (and nonone can). I have been doing this for the last one month while trying to convince Nokia that they have a problem with their bluetooth stack. I can prove that it happens only with A2DP profile. I have been using a plantronics bluetooth headset without any problem. I'm also using HT820 with my Nokia N70 which supports only HSP profile. Unfortunately, N96 doesn't provide an option to choose what profile you want to use when you pair a bluetooth headset. I could have listened to music from my laptop (A2DP) while the headset is connected with phone (HSP), and I don't miss any calls. I'm pretty sure it is a bug in their bluetooth stack; only if I could talk to one of their developers and explain the problem.
- You know the commotion Nokia created when they removed VoIP stack from N96. Thanks to Fring, I use VoIP and skype with N96 today.
- The NetWork stack is so cumbursome. Each applications have to define their own access points and rights. Why can't it be in the platform level? Just imagin you doing this on your laptop for each of the applications.
- Its better not to talk about the battery. It comes for less than a day for me. But, you can always blaim the usage.
How do we make Nokia listen to issues? Do they have any customer feedback forum (please, not through the Nokia Care centers)? I wish if they improve, after all, I still love my phone (Yes, I paid a good amount for this phone)

N96, FW: 12.043

Hi Jaimon,
I'm with you - I've had my N96 nearly six months and am VERY disappointed.
I just bought a Parrot Party Bluetooth speaker. A GREAT little unit. Needless to say, the implementation of A2DP leaves a LOT to be desired on the N96. Basically, it's like listening to a CD that skips every 10 seconds. The N96 cannot keep up the stream of data fast enough. It's VERY annoying.
I checked to make sure no other apps were running to make sure it wasn't something else running that was causing the problem, but no, it's rubbish (I have firmware 12.043). Other people in my office can connect their Blackberries etc... no problem. Plays back beautifully, but my N96? Piece of garbage.
Nokia have a LOT to answer for! Like you say, a phone that costs more than a laptop and this is the level of service we get. I have written TWICE via their online customer service form, and on each occasion received an email saying I can expect a response in 72 hours. I've never received ANYTHING!
Also, I had a Plantronics headset - Explorer 340. A nice headset. Same problems as mentioned elsewhere, would intermittently be disconnected and reconnected - very annoying. Last week, it paired but would not connect. Plantronics' support was wonderful! So efficient. They're exchanging the unit with a newer model (brand new) because they cannot replace the old model. Maybe that will work better. Meanwhile, because I NEED a headset for driving (and the supplied stereo headset is pathetic - cable too short, microphone ends up around your waist (USELESS!)) I bought (*gasp*) a Nokia BH-101. Paired fine with the N96 (as one would EXPECT), but the headset itself is lousy - such a poor design. I challenge anyone to make it fit in their ear comfortably enough as to be able to HEAR the bloody thing while driving. I have to keep one hand on it to keep it in my ear. USELESS NOKIA!
What is it WITH this company?! Why have they lost the plot?!??!

Unable to Extract Marketing Plan Elements in SAP BI

Hi All,
I am having an issue of Marketing Plan Elements not being pulled into BW. We are extracting CRM Marketing Elements using 0CRM_MKTELM5_ATTR & 0CRM_MKTELM_TEXT Data Source into BW. It is a full load that we are doing.
Few of the Marketing Plan Elements created are missing in the Data loads. When I pulled the Data on Oct 13th I got 40567 records when I pulled today I got 40572. But still 1 marketing plan element created yesterday is not pulled into BW. I even checked in PSA and not able to see the Mkt.Element.
I tried debugging to locate the source table. But could'nt find it. Any clues on source table for these datasource or any help in this regard is highly appreciated.

Using iWeb for e-mail marketing

I am trying to create my own template in Iweb to use for e-mail marketing. However, I am having trouble importing my template into the e-mail marketing program I am using- I'm not really sure what files to choose. I tried to use the css and html files but I previewed the e-mail and all that showed up was a bunch of codes. Any help would be appreciated- thanks!

I designed a beautiful page to use for IContact's email marketing. Then when I went to plug in my webpage for the email, IContact said it could not be used because of JavaScript on the page...AND CSS on the page.

What is the current XI job market status

Xi Guys,
I am an experienced Abap developer with just rolled off my first successful XI project.
For my next project I am really want to stay in XI arena and would not like to go back to Abap .
I wish to ask you your opinion on - what is the XI current job market status in the US?
I am hearing different things u2013 some are saying XI is not a good place to be, because there are not that many xi projects and there are too many xi consultants u2013 therefore if job is difficult to find, rate is low, slowdown etc.
Others are saying exactly the opposite -xi market is very good and it is growing , so there are jobs...
If first is true I would not like to waste time and effort. So your inputs as xi gurus will be interesting for me, before jumping to any conclusions.
Of course more info like which exactly XI skills are in better demand and what are the trends now will be also interesting to hear.
Let me know what you think and what is your experience.

Your question is pretty interesting... Well WHO can tell the future...Only GOD...:-))
Todays market is volatile. AS per current market situations we can just forecast about XI requirments, it may be right or may go wrong after few years.
But one think I could assure you is if you have good knowledge then you can servive in any Market situations.
Curently there are many XI consultants available but can you guess how many are of them XI experts...just few of them.
If you see the previous developments in XI arena, then it will ndicate you that you should be updated with latest version of knowledge else you will stay out of the race.
So before getting involve in XI, be sure that you are ready to survive in slag time of Market as well as enjoy it on on peak time.
Tomorrow Market may get down or may be at boom for XI, but there will always be requirment for good XI knowledge
