what is dead locks with oracle and wht is race condition wrt oracle

> And do you know what a race condition is all about?
It is a term used to indicate several processes attempting to use the same resource that is not capable of servicing all these at the same time. This could be due to the resource not being thread safe or implemented as a serialised resource.
It is often easy to look up definitions on Google. In the Google search field, type "define:race condition".

  • What are dead locks in BW

    hI,
What are dead locks in BW

    Hi ,
The concept of dead lock is as similar as in Oracle. If Process P1 is using resource A (locked by P1)) and waiting for B and Process P2is using resouce B(locked by P2) and waiting for resouceA. This creates dead lock as both can not proceed further.
In BW deadlock usually occur in delta load. As, far as my observance deadlock usually occurs during processing of update rules. This may be because more than one package will be processing same record as in delta load, data moves from changelog of below level to next level.

What does the lock with a circle around it mean in the top right corner of my iPhone 5c

It means that your screen rotation is locked. Open up the control center by sliding your finger up from the very bottom of the screen, and click on the screen rotation lock symbol, which is the same symbol you see on the status bar.

If you have AppleCare and/or iPod Nano is still under warranty, give them a call.  If not, take the computer to your local Apple Store or AASP.  The staff will tell you what is wrong w/it and let you know if it can be fixed after it is examined.

  • What is the deal with MP4s and Itunes?

Why does quicktime and Itunes always put "This document could not be opened"/"Quicktime does not support this file type"/"An invalid public movie atom was found in this file". Only about 2 movies have work in Itunes, and one became corrupted and kept making itunes close whenever I played it. WHAT DOES IT WANT? It says it wants MP4/M4V and I've tried both.

What movies? From what source?  While mp4 is more restrictive than some containers it can still hold many variants of audio and video.  iTunes is limited in codec support.

  • What is this lock with a circle icon next to battery on OS 4.0?

I have been having this battery drain issue since moving to OS 4.0. Just wondering if this lock with a circle icon has anything to do with it. My location services is off and has not been on for past 24 hours. There was some reference to a location icon on some web articles but my GPS is off. Ideas?

That is the orientation lock for the screen. Double tap the home button, this opens the multi task screen. Now slide from left to right, you will see ipod controls and a symbol to the left of the controls. That locks and unlocks the screen.

  • Detective support: what is going on with pcmanfm and dbus?

    Hello again,
thanks for reading and sorry for spamming the forum but I prefer to open one topic per question for simplicity.
I noticed that pcmanfm is putting debug messages into my terminal when I launch it from there which look like this:
    ** (pcmanfm:3426): DEBUG: device_added: /org/freedesktop/UDisks/devices/sda
    ** (pcmanfm:3426): DEBUG: device_added: /org/freedesktop/UDisks/devices/sda1
    ** (pcmanfm:3426): DEBUG: device_added: /org/freedesktop/UDisks/devices/sda2
    ** (pcmanfm:3426): DEBUG: device_added: /org/freedesktop/UDisks/devices/sda3
    ** (pcmanfm:3426): DEBUG: device_added: /org/freedesktop/UDisks/devices/sda4
    ** (pcmanfm:3426): DEBUG: device_added: /org/freedesktop/UDisks/devices/sda5
    ** (pcmanfm:3426): DEBUG: device_added: /org/freedesktop/UDisks/devices/sda6
    ** (pcmanfm:3426): DEBUG: device_added: /org/freedesktop/UDisks/devices/sdc
    ** (pcmanfm:3426): DEBUG: device_added: /org/freedesktop/UDisks/devices/sdc1
that notation looks familiar to me, looks like pcmanfm is sending messages to dbus?
How could I have noticed that pcmanfm is using dbus without stumbling across these debug messages by accident as each program author may or may not provide these? How do I find out from there (meaning: once I have identified what is going to dbus) what is being done with these messages, i.e. how do I follow the sequence of events up until the mounting of my devices? Ideally, I am imagining that there is a command to look at what messages were sent to dbus, then a config file to look at to see what dbus did based on these messages, such that I could deduce pcmanfm -> message to dbus -> look in config file /path/to/config -> mount /dev/sdc1 /media -t vfat
Is this something that can be deduced without having to guess around from merely having experience with linux?
thanks a lot for reading this and thanks for your kind replies!

i don't get it, what is your question?  i don't see a problem with this.  if everything is functioning i wouldn't worry about it.  for example, i can start something like kwrite from terminal and i get a bajillion different notes showing up just from typing or clicking on something like "find" (some of them are debug messages, some are warnings, most of it is disorganized and scrambled info) yet it works perfectly fine.

  • Problem with JECS and S&H cess condition type

    Dear Experts,
According to client requirement, I have done pro-forma delivery *** excise invoice. Then I have done J1IIN- Excise invoice.(Account doc created). After that I have done F2 commercial billing with reference to delivery. Here if I include only 'basic excise
duty' condition type, getting no problem in FI posting. But if I include Ecess (JECS) and S&H cess (JA1X)  condition type, then I can't post the commercial invoice into FI . An information message is coming, "no accounting doc generated". and the status in the billing document is "error in accounting interface". I have done all settings of account determination of CIN. Still getting this error. Please help me to overcome the problem.
    Thanks in advance

    Dear Prashanth,
I have maintained 1. Account key EXD for JEXP, JECS and JA1X condition types. 2. Maintain account determination in CIN. 3. I have also maintained Tax code (A4, AC etc for VAT and CST) and maintained  the condition record with tax code in vk11 also.
Should I maintain VKOA with EXD account key with KOFI and KOFK? I maintained previously EXD in VKOA also but still Im stuck in that problem. so I deleted from VKOA. I tried to post through VF02. at that time it is showing a message "Error in account determination : table T030K  key BPIN EXD. Message no. FF709". but for JEXP I can post to FI without any error. I tried to search in that forum about the error. but didnt get any solution.please advice me.
