What is diff between delivery related sales order & billing related sales o

what is diff between delivery related sales order & billing related sales order ???

hi prasanth,
extending the Answer of shasikanth,
1) Order Related Billing:
some items are not related to delivery, like service items.
these items will be defined by different ITEM Categories.
2)  Delivery Related billing:
standard item like TAN,which is delivery related billing.that means for this item we need to create a delivery documnet.with reference to delivery document we need to create a billing document.
when we define item category,
we miantain whether its order related or Delivery related billing.
The respective field in item category is......
Relavant for Billing  A - delivery related billing
                              B - Order realted billing
by this we can say item category defines, whether item is relavent for billing or not and also it defines whether its a Order related or Delivery Related billing.
The Respective billing document type will be determined from Sales document type(vov8).

  • MTO(Diff between complex make to order and sales order based mass prod)

    Hi
We are using MTO...Can anyone tell me what is the Diff between complex make to order and sales order based mass prod in finance perspective?

    Hi,
In the case of complex make to order scenario, through MRP, the Project shall be assigned to the sales order. Then there will be milestone billling and all. In the case of mass production MTO, it is only creation of production order for each sales order item and each sales order item shall have sales order cost estimate.
Trust this helps much and do encourage our efforts!
    Cheers!

  • Reinitialize Sales Orders, Billing and Delivery (11, 12 & 13)

    Hi,
Due to continues rollouts we need to reinitialize Sales Orders, Billing and Delivery do-cuments from R/3 into BW.
This requires us to delete all loaded data, logs, queues etc. on the BW side - Fair enough.
The real challenge come as we need to run the transactions OLI7BW(order), OLI8BW (billing), OLI9BW (deliveries) on the R3 side in order to fill the setup tables. Here we need to switch the "block all orders" on in order to ensure that no new documents are created while load-ing.
In relation to the above situation I have a couple of questions:
Is there no way of doing this in a more "online" fashion?
What transactions are actually blocked by flicking the "block all orders"?
    Thanks in advance

    Hi Michael,
I've seen this process accomplished without blocking orders, but instead by blocking all transactions that may in any way lock an order or related sales document.  Also, you can dramatically speed up the process of gathering the old documents by running multiple batch jobs (with different document number ranges) at the same time.  In this case, I believe you want to "uncheck" the "New run" flag.  I've seen runtimes for this reduced from over 24 hours to under 4 hours.  The important thing is that you don't want to have ANY activity that modifies or locks order documents until after the date and time of termination that you specified, otherwise you will lose data on your transfer to BW.

    Hi,
SE01 is the main screen of the Change and transport Organizer. From here the administrator can acheive all tasks related to transport requests - such as create, change, view logs, display client/delivery transports, etc. SE09 and SE10 can also be accessed from here. However, not all developers might be granted access to this transaction.
SE09 is the workbench transport requests transaction - here the developers can track changes to all ABAP workbench objects (dictionary, reports, module pools, etc). This is a developer-specific transaction and mostly all developers have access to this transaction.
SE10 is the customizing request display transaction - this displays all the customizing requests in the system. Again, this could be restricted to Business analysts if required, since they would be doing most of the customizing changes in the system.

  • In LSMW, what is diff between LSMW-BAPI and LSMW-IDOC

    hello all
In LSMW, what is diff between LSMW-BAPI and LSMW-IDOC

    Hi Swamy,
The differences between IDoc and BAPI are as follows:
    IDOC
IDocs are text encoded documents with a rigid structure that are used to exchange data between R/3 and a foreign system.
Idocs are processed asynchronously and no information whatsoever is returned to the client.
The target system need not be always online. The IDOC would be created and would send the IDOC once the target system is available (tRFC concept). Hence supports guaranteed delivery.
With asynchronous links the sub-process on the client can be finished even if the communication line or the server is not available. In this case the message is stored in the database and the communication can be done later.
The disadvantage of asynchronous links is that the sub-process on the server cannot return information to the calling sub-process on the client. A special way for sending information back to the client is required. In addition, a special error handling mechanism is required to handle errors on the receiving side.
IDOCs may be more changeable from release to release.
    IDOCs  are poorly documented.
    BAPI
BAPIs are a subset of the RFC-enabled function modules, especially designed as Application Programming Interface (API) to the SAP business object, or in other words: are function modules officially released by SAP to be called from external programs.
BAPIs are called synchronously and (usually) return information.
For BAPIs the client code needs to do the appropriate error handling.
Problems with synchronous links occur if the communication line or the server is temporarily not available. If this happens, the sub-process on the client cannot be finished (otherwise there would be data inconsistencies).
Synchronous links have the advantage that the sub-process on the server can return values to the sub-process on the client that has started the link.
BAPIs are not totally immune to upgrades.
    BAPIs are reasonably well documented.
    Reward points if useful.
    Best Regards,
    Sekhar

  • Whats the diff between express and pro??

Just wondering what the main diff between the two are. I've used pro at school, but cant afford to get it at home. Will i still be able to use the same audio instruments like the same synths and plug ins??? Also, would i be able to run the program on a mac mini (top of the line)?

Matt Mac 63, "Whats the diff between express and pro??" #5, 10:33pm Oct 18, 2005 CDT
All I was saying is that if a person can afford to get Pro, they definitely should. The difference in features adds up to at least the difference in price, if not very much more.
Having said that, Express is good value compared to most other DAW software at that pricepoint, but it is only intended as a 'Lite' version.
Some examples, off the top of my head, of differences not made really clear in the comparison list.
    Input Objects:
In Pro you can use Input Objects to monitor incoming signal without rec-enabling a track. That doesn't sound much, on the face of it, but what it means is you can use external FX units (hardware) as inserts in tracks (or busses) just like plugins, and bounce them with the mix. it also means you acn monitor what you are playing into Logic Pro with plugin FX applied, but record dry so you can hear your guitar with the reverb, or whatever, but still have the recorded dry signal so you can change the FX settings later.
Pro has some very handy environment objects. The main one being the Trabsformer object. But also another extremely useful object is TouchTracks.
If you've ever played with Ableton Live you would have noticed you can triger clips with the keyboard in all different ways (loop, gate loop, one shot etc.) Well TouchTracks does that with MIDI regions.(I have a feeling that feature in Live was modeled after Logic's TouchTracks' as it is incredibly similar.)
They are only a few examples of a whole range of differences. If all the differences were itemized in the 'comparison chart' it would be about 3 pages long.
All I am saying is, don't take the comparison chart as the definitive list of differences.
yes, Express is a good basic tool and you can do a lot with it, with some imagination.
    The SOS author's claim that:
you're paying less than a third of the price of Logic Pro and getting over 90 percent of the functionality."
    is not true in totality.
It may be true to someone who has never dabbled in audio software before, because it takes literally years to become fully conversant with every function in Logic Pro, and no-one uses absolutely everything.
But for serious users, who have big demands, in my opinion, Express is less than 30% of Pro's functionality.

    please help

Process and Discrete industries have some fundamental differences in their product development, materials, production procesess and planning procedures. Process industries need to deal with Variable Ingredients, By & Co-products, UOM are that are Material Specific. Multiple Recipes and Formulas are used to make a single product due to seasonality or plant equipment variations. Process industries need Lot, Grades, Potency, Shelf-life.
Manufacturing is different too...think of industries where materials are blended together like paints, or food products, beverages. Also unique is decomposition...breaking something apart, like a chicken into its components: legs, thighs, breasts etc and be able to track the costs.
The Oracle Process Manufacturing suite is capable of supporting all of these industry requirements.

  • Third Party Sale order Billing Before Before MM Billing

    Hi,
In our company case . we are not dependent for MM billing . Our Sale order billing is independent and it's on the daily bases.
    i have done following changes
    item category to TAS
VoV7 'TAS'  Billing Relevance to 'B' Relevant for order-related billing - status according to order quantity
    VTFA (Order,to,bill,copying,control)
But when i am doing SD Billing VF01
    error messages:
Message no. VF17  Document 15000962 does not contain any items with open quantities
Message no VF147 1015000962 000010 No open billing quantity has been determined
    plz resolve this problem
    regard
    khurram

we  don't want to Depend upon MM. Because, we have to update our customers ledger with creation of Sale order and PR.
What does it mean by don't want to depend upon MM?
How the vendor delivery the goods if you create only PR ? with ref to PR vendor delivery the goods?
PR is not a legal document unlike PO which is legal document, in standard with ref to PO , MIGO MIRO are created.
    Also you mentioned
note: Vender send us hard copy of desptaches after one week. so with that we invocie our PO.
After one week how does the PO comes into picture will you create PO with ref to PR after dispatch notification comes to you  after one week by vendor then you do MIGO and MRIO?
Please note : In  3rd party sales we have two kinds of process.
    1. 3rd party sales with out shipping notification( this is SAP standard,  settings already available no need any changes)
Here we do the customer invoice after vendor payment only...
    2. 3rd party sales with shipping notification(here we need to do small changes as i mentioned above)
in the process you need not to wait till the vendor payment(MIRO), as per your requirement you can bill the customer before vendor payment(MIRO)...But here MIGO is mandatory. However it is dummy MIGO( no inventory updates).
Actualy , we  don't want to Depend upon MM. Because, we have to update our customers ledger with creation of Sale order and PR.
Beacuse we want to update our customer ledger on daily bases.
Let us assume you are creating customer invoice with ref to sales order and in your case you mentioned you won't do MIGO or MIRO before customer invoice creation so in this case for how much qty you bill the customer on daily basis?
If the vendor delivery goods lesser qty than order qty then how do you manage with out doing MIGO or MIRO?
    Please answer the above questions?
You may able to create customer invoice with ref to order with out MIGO or MIRO by changing some copy control but you can't bill the exact qty to the customer if you don't do MIGO or MIGO.
So i suggest you to go with 3rd party sales with shipping notifications .
    Here sale order( VA01)
    PO (with ref PR).
    MIGO( dummy MIGO)
    VF01( customer invoice)
    MIRO( vendor payment)
    thanks,
    Srinu.

    Hi guru's
where we can found  sales order billing status?
suppose if i created one sales order that sales order related billing status i want to let to know
where can i found that one.

    Hi upendra_sap
Go to the menu in VA02, VA03 goto >header>status, there you can see the header billing status and also item billing status.
In table VBUK (header status) field FKSTK, and in VBUP (item status) FKSAA (Billing Status for Order-Related Billing Documents) or  FKSTA (Billing status of delivery-related billing documents).
    Thanks,

  • Sale order to consume Sale forecast created by MD81

    Dear Gurus,
I have created a sale forecast using T-code MD81, 'CusReq" is reflected in MD04...I conduct a planning run and planned orders are generated and subsequent process orders and this stock is now credited to WH stock... But the "CusReq" is not disappearing from MD04, as a result of which When I am creating a sale order Using VA01, it is only showing available qty in WH as remainder after the MD81 Requirement...

  • Sales Order Billing Block Removal after Milestone POC 100% Only

    Dear Experts,
My client requirement is like following.
    1.Total Milestone number is 10
2.Each Milestone carries weightage of 10% Invoice billing.
I want to bill the milestone which is 100% completed only.
In SAP Standard Function what I am getting is , When I feed Actual Date in Milestone then Billing Block is removed in Sales Order Billing Plan.
Is it possible to remove Billing Block if Milestone POC is 100% also.
Kindly suggest if there is any User exit ocustomer exit available for that.
    Regards

I want to bill the milestone which is 100% completed only
This is a standard feature. Once you reach the milestone enter the actual dates and the billing block gets removed allowing you to do the billing.
Whatever you are getting in the standard system is perfectly fine. That is how the standard system works.
Is it possible to remove Billing Block if Milestone POC is 100% also
Could you please explain this statement? Are you asking, whether its possible to remove the billing block without entering the actual dates even though the milestone has been reached?

  • Reg:Transfer posting from one sales order to another sales order( V C)

    Friends,
can anyone tell me how to transfer stock  between one sales order to another sales order(Having different configuarations).
We tried with movement type 413E but as configuaration is diiferent we cannot carry out.
Please let me know the solution as early as possible...
    thanks in advance

    Hi,
Sales order stock with different configuration cannot be delivered against a new sales order. If possible change the configuration of the new sales order matching the configuration of the sales order against which the stock is available by changing the variant characteristics. If the configuration is mapped then system will allow sales order stock transfer.

    Hi,
Customer Indepnedent requirement is a sales order as treated by MRP.
The sales order consumption works with PIR not with Customer requirements.
Further in most cases, consumption means not PIR reduction.
it is consuming the planned orders created for PIR's by allocating to sales orders.
For ex; in a MTS scenario,
    PIR ---1000
    PLanned order 1000
    Sales order 1500
    After MRP
    PIR--1000
    PLanned order 1000
    Planned order 500
    Sales order 1500
PIR reduction from MD04 happens when GI happens for the sales order or GR for Production order depending the Planning strategy.
