What is differnce between charge account,budget account

Hi,
In purcahse order we have four accounts ,Charge account ,budget account ,variance account and accural account,
Pleae any help what is the differnce between these account when these will effect in gl.
and also in po_distributions i always confuse encumbrace amount filed is there.
can any help detail description about encumbrance when it is generated in po.

Here I am telling you how these accouts arer wrking in sales order and at billing and delivery.
Our reconsilation account is reconsile with customer that why when you create the sales order you are mentioning the customer at this time reconsiation account works.
Whenever you doing any posting there is an accounting entry is mae in accounts book right .
At the time of Delivery and billing both the accounts are affected as per the accounting rule .

    One more doubts,
    I added Client method in the page binding.i want to know,Each page has one page def .Page def is representing binding for that particular page.When we request any page at that time the container going to create the Binding object.User will be able to access the all attribute of binding.
    My question is that ,At that time Binding container will represent only one Binding Object ?If user click any other pages then the previous Binding Object will lost ?
    Or is there any Global Binding Object,Where i can add any method that will access through whole project.

    Generally all the revenue postings are made to the G/L account. We maintain reconciliation account for customers, vendors etc and the postings from the normal G/L account are updated automatically to the corresponding reconciliation account.
    In other words, manual entries can be posted in the normal G/L account and the same is not possible in the
    reconciliation account, as these are automatically updated.

    Periodic billing is used when you want to bill the customer at different points of time based on the periodicity or progress of the work. Milestone billing can be used for this type of billing purposes when you want to have billing control from the project.
    Resource billing is based on the resource consumption for the particular activities. Dynamic Item Processor (DIP) profile is used for the resource related billing.

    whats the differnce between DB Backup and generating Script of a database.
    Please mention the main diffrence as we know while genearating script we can select tables/procedures of our choice instead of having all while in backup it takes full tables and procedures.

    maintenance plans to back up database automatically.
    However, generating scripts is not a disaster recovery option. If you encounter some failures about database, you cannot get data back by generating scripts.

    Here is the OA help (11i) :
    Entering Purchase Order Distributions:
    6. Enter the purchasing accounts. When you save your changes in this window, Purchasing uses the Account Generator to automatically create the following accounts for each distribution:
    Charge: the account to charge for the cost of this item in the purchasing operating unit
    Accrual: the AP accrual account in the purchasing operating unit
    Variance: the invoice price variance account in the purchasing operating unit
    Destination Charge: the account to charge for the cost of this item in the destination operating unit
    Destination Variance: the invoice price variance account in the destination operating unit
    Note: The last two accounts are created only if the receiving destination operating unit is different than the purchasing operating unit and there is a transaction flow defined between the two organizations.
    If you are using encumbrance control, Purchasing also creates the following account for each distribution:
    Budget: the encumbrance budget account
    The Account Generator creates these accounts based on predefined rules. See: Using the Account Generator in Oracle Purchasing.Hope it helps

    Please find my doubt and let me know your views on the same.
    Suppose if the charge account what we use in the PO is not assigned to the Budget Organization in GL responsibility, but still we can reserve the amount for this charge account. Here the conclusion is " If the charge Account is not assigned to the Budget Organization which means does the system will automatically consider the Funds Check Level as 'None' for this charge account" is it right or correct me if i am wrong? plz let me know.

    What the difference between “Valuate GL Account Open Items” and “Valuate G/L Account Balances”?
    We found out that when we perform valuate GL account Open items there will be reversal done at the same time whereas when we perform Valuate G/L Account Balances there is NO reversal posting even though we hv entered the reversal posting date and Period.
    Pls advise which one we should perform?

    “Valuate GL Account Open Items” are for open item managed accounts including vendor/customer accounts. The valuation is performed for each (open) line items on key date specified.
    "“Valuate GL Balance" is for account NOT managed on Open Item basis but managed in foreign currency. The period balance of key date in foreign currency is valuated. Reversal document can be created by selecting 'Reverse postings' in "Postings" tab.

    Hi,
    FTXP no need to create a request and it is easy but in OB40 system will ask you create request. and another thing is in FTXP it is at country level but in OB40 it is at chart of accounts level.
