What is error 1 on the update ?

I cant open Neff files in light room so I updated the creative cloud and it couldnt finish because of error 1. It said contact support which I cant do.

"PSA error" and "error 6 in the update" ...VERY IMP!!

I am facing this very strange and critical problem.
Delta load failed due to "PSA error" and "error 6 in the update" for two Infosources.
The Infosource 1 ( Header)- I was able to successfully edit the PSA error and update the delta from the PSA to the ODS....problem solved
The Infosource 2 ( Item ) - The delta for this request is sent to from this Infosource to ODS's .It is allowing me to edit the PSA data and save it. But even after editing and saving, when I am updating the delta to the ODS the request goes red. When I see the reason, I find the same "error in the PSA "and the" Error 6 int he Update". Looks like the edited data is not getting saved.
The error in PSA was ..date was wrongly entered with wrong year in it. So therefore it clashes witht he fiscal yr variant for that infosource.
Tried to do repeat delta for the next delta. Same issue.

I got the same PSA error for another Header Infosource which updates data to one ODS, for which i could edit the data and then update the edited data into the ODS. The changes i have done are saved and had no issue with the infosource. and the load is successful.
But for this Item Infosource ( updates data to two ODS) , i got the same PSA error( Date entered worng) , i was able to edit the data in the PSA and save. but after editing and saving when i update teh request( after editing PSA) the request goes RED ( which means the i get the old values..wrong data).
Why am I not able see the changes i have done when i update the delta from PSA to ODS after editing?....really strange.
Is there any problem in the update rules or something for this Infosource( not sure)..becos i am gettng this "error 6" in the Update.

Error while activating the update rules related to Inventory

In standard Cube 0ic_c03, I am including a field 0MAT_DOC that is available in the transfer rules of 2lis_03_bx. And when I include that info object in the cube my update rules are getting deactivated.
When I try to activate the update rules, I am getting the following error message:
1. InfoSource 2LIS_03_BX is only set up for the initial run for non-cumulatives.
2. IC=0IC_C03 IS=2LIS_03_BX error when checking the update rules.
Requesting you to please guide me on how do I go about solving this issue.

For implementation of inventory in the BW side, first you need to carry out following steps sequentially:
1. MCNB: Filling set up tables for initial entry of stock balances from 2lis_03_BX
2. OLI1BW:Filling set up tables for stock movements from 2lis_03_BF.
3. OLIZBW:Filling set up tables for inventory revaluations from 2lis_03_UM
Check the Business content cube 0IC_C03.
Also check the document how to inventory management.
For report install the business content report for the cube 0IC_C03 and check it.

Yes,there is just a single line of code in the start routine
DELETE DATA_PACKAGE WHERE CUSTOMER is initial.
and update rules for Business partner and customer market which are object mapped 1:1. No routines or formulaes.
Could this be a technical issue on the flexible update or a data quality ?

Try activating both the cubes using RSDG_CUBE_ACTIVATE. Activate them even thou they seem active.

7099 records from 7099 records..but shows request is red.

Caller 01 : If there is any inconsistecy while loading the data or if the program cannot able to execute a specific task it will give the caller errors.

Ok. Got it fixed.
For a real fix:
Try trashing the ~/Library/Application Support/Apple/AirPort folder. This should solve the problem this time and next time.
If you are reluctant to do that, log into your 'test' account. (You do have a test account, don't you?)
Do the update from there.
Apparently we have something corrupted in our support directories for the AirPort device.
I first fixed my problem by doing the alternate log in method and found that all 3 of my devices were needing a firmware update but only the Capsule was reporting an update within my own account.

Do a check on the update rules and see if it returns no errors...
if that is the case, then check the short dump and try to get the program name for the update rules..In se38 putting the program name, you can go inside it and do a check there as well if there are any errors....
If in the end yo still dont find anything, try to delete and re-create the update rules..
But i think you will get quite useful info from the dumps if there are any..

Urgent Help.. Error 18 in the update

I am facing a problem while loading some BW Statistics Data. ( 0BWTC_C03)
I have deleted the Init flag, Ran new Init without data transfer and a full repair Load.
The load is failing with Error 18 in the update. and some packets are failing with 'invalid characheristics'
I Ran a Load Till PSA and then Edited the Data in PSA and later pushed them manualy to data targets.
But still some packets are failing with Error 18 in the update.
In RSKC ALL_CAPITAL is maintained.
Error messages for Invalid characteristics appear like this.
Value '706Aktivitetshus - Festpladsen ' (hex. '373036416B7469766974657473687573202D2046657374706C')
Value '706Overf.06 til 07 Midtdjurs - d ' (hex. '3730364F766572662E30362074696C203037204D696474646A'
Plese post me the proper step by step procedure to fix the problem.

Hi,
I think you are facing an invalid character issue.
This issue can be resolved by correcting the error records in PSA and updating it into the target. For that the first step should be to identify if all the records are there in PSA. You can find out this from checking the Details tab in RSMO, Job log , PSA > sorting records based on status,etc. Once its confirmed force the request to red and delete the particular request from the target cube. Then go to PSA and edit the incorrect records (correcting or blanking out the invalid entries for particular field InfoObject for the incorrect record) and save it. Once all the incorrect records are edited go to RSA1>PSA find the particular request and update to target manually (right click on PSA request > Start update immediately).
I will add the step by step procedure to edit PSA data and update into target (request based).
Identifying incorrect records.
System wont show all the incorrect records at the first time itself. You need to search the PSA table manually to find all the incorrect records.
1. First see RSMO > Details > Expand upate rules / processing tabs and you will find some of the error records.
2. Then you can go to PSA and filter using the status of records. Filter all the red requests. This may also wont show the entire incorrect records.
3. Then you can go to PSA and filter using the incorrect records based on the particular field.
4. If this also doesnt work out go to PSA and sort (not filter) the records based on the particular field with incorrect values and it will show all the records. Note down the record numbers and then edit them one by one.
If you want to confirm find the PSA table and search manually."
In your case it says that
Value '706Aktivitetshus - Festpladsen ' and Value '706Overf.06 til 07 Midtdjurs - d ' are invalid. Just convert this into Capital letters in PSA and reload.
Steps to resolve this
1. Force the request to red in RSMO > Status tab.
2. Delete the request from target.
3. Come to RSMO > top right you can see PSA maintenace button > click and go to PSA .
4.Edit the record
5. Save PSA data.
6. Got to RSA15 > Search by request name > Right click > update the request from PSA to target.
This should solve your problem for now.
As a long term you can apply some user exit in source system side or change your update rules to ensure that this field is getting blanked out before getting loaded in cube or add that particular achr to permitted character list in BW (Run TCODE RSKC
Input the <character> and execute the program) This will add <character> to the allowed characters list.
OR
RSKC --> type ALL_CAPITAL --> F8 (Execute)
OR
Run the report RS_ERRORLOG_EXAMPLE,By this report you can display all incorrected records of the data & you can also find whether the error occured in PSA or in TRANSFER RULES.
OR
Go to SE38 and execute the program RSKC_ALLOWED_CHAR_MAINTAIN and give ALL_CAPITAL or the char you want to add.
Check the table RSALLOWEDCHAR. It should contain ALL_CAPITAL or the char you have entered.

RE: Error 7 in the update

Dear All,
I have a full update from the ODS to the infocube using PSA. The load till the 8th March was okay.
After this all the loads have failed.
I get a message Error 7 in the update in the details tab.
This is the same message i get on the daily load.
There is no details of the message in the error message tab.
How do i rectify the error.

Error number 7 indicates that the dialog process in the source system that sends the data package with tRFC is canceled (probably with a TIME_OUT).
Did you delete this req from the data target. Did you make sure you have changed the data mart status of the source ODS for that particular request no.
Thus delete the dart mart status from the ODS for that ODS and then try loading data target. Also try load the data target only PSA and update subsequently in data target.
Solution
Note that the tRFC-LUW is usually executed synchronously in BW. In other words, the sending dialog process waits until the processing in BW has been completed. If this time exceeds the maximum permissible dialog time in the source system, the error you have observed can occur. In this case the following possible solutions are available:
Increase the upper limit for the timeout of a dialog step in the source system
Reduce the size of the data package (see note 417307)
First only load into the PSA and then in a separate process in BW into the data targets (for example via a process chain)
Sometimes the Customer Exit adversely affects the performance and increases the data volume. If you are working in a test system, you can deactivate the user exit (that is, briefly deactivate the corresponding project) and compare the result with that which was returned with the active user exit. If the request with the deactivated user exit is loaded without any errors, the problem must be caused by the user exit.
Another possible cause of the error message 'Error 7...' in the monitor is described in note 548910 (however, this case is highly unlikely).

Error 1 may be due data inconsistency. Some times you might be having invalid characteristics soon...
Error 1update may be due to connection issues between source system and BW or sometimes may be due to inactive update rules.
Error 1 Update may be because of conversion from source to destination...
