What is error code 4HDD/11/40000000

What is error code 4HDD/11/40000000;SATA(0,0)?
Is there something I can do on my own to fix the problem or does it need to be sent to an Apple Tech.

Hardware fault at SSD or logic board for same.
You cannot fix it no, indicates a bad connector or failing drives.
backup all data ASAP and contact Apple for free in shop diagnostics and possible logic board replacement.

What caused you to run the Apple Hardware Test? Was your iMac exhibiting an unusual symptom that caused you to run the test?
If the system is still bootable take the time to back up your important files if you don't already have a backup. Once the files are backed up run the Disk Utility application that can be found in the Applications/Utilities folder and run the 'Verify Disk' option to see whether it generates any errors. I also suggest pulling the SMART (Self-Monitoring, Analysis, and Reporting Technology) logs from your hard drive using an application called Smart Utility. You can use the application in the demo mode.

  • What does error code: 4SNS/1/40000000: tm0p -61.000 mean?

I just dropped my MacBook Pro "17 i5 500GB 4G RAM (2010 Model) about 3 feet from a chair on to the floor of my house (hard wood flooring), unfortunately.
Everything seems to work well but I went and did a hardware check, but Pressing "D" at startup, I got this error:
    4SNS/1/40000000: tm0p -61.000
    What does this mean?

Thanks, I will try to take it to the Apple Genius Bar this week.
And I have 3 more questions:
How much will this sensor cost? is it expensive?
Is it a serious issue? Because when I run the hardware test, it only gives me this error in the short test NOT extended test.

  • What does error code 4MEM/62/40000000: 0x8276f390 mean:

Hello guys. Just did a hardware test and the above code came up. Saw other threads with ALMOST the same numbers and they were all referring to memory. Can this one mean the same and what would be next step? Thank you.

You have defective RAM installed. That means you need to replace it. Reliable vendors are: OWC, DataMem, and Crucial.com.

  • Error code:    4mem/65/40000000 ; 0x80q3af90

what does error code:     4mem/65/40000000 ; 0x80q3af90   mean? How do i fix it?

It could be faulty. It also could be the wrong spec if you didn't use their memory configurator menus to get the exact RAM for your Mac.
If it is faulty, Crucial should replace it. If you didn't use their configurator and purchased the wrong RAM, you'll have to talk to them about swapping it out.

  • What does Apple Hardware Test error code 4MEM/1/40000000:OX3bb6b190 mean?

Mozilla kept crashing so I did the Apple Hardware Test and got error code 4MEM/1/40000000:OX3bb6b190. I reinstalled MacOs 10.4.4 (after saving the important stuff to disk of course) and it took about 10 tries to get the 2 disks installed. After the installation, I tried to update to 10.4.5, and when I restarted, the screen was blank. The only disk the computer will start with now is the No. 1 installation disk. What can I do?

    Hi
A MEM error code generally indicates a faulty RAM Module. In my experience most RAM manufacturers offer at least a 5 year warranty of their RAM products. Some warranties are for 10 years. Sometimes reseating (taking it out and putting it back in again - properly) the Module will 'cure' the problem. Run AHT afterwards if you try this option first.
If you can remove the offending module and still have enough RAM to be able to do what you need to do then do so.
If not take it to your nearest Apple Repair Specialist who should fix it for you or replace the faulty module yourself and deal with the RAM manufacturer directly.
Judging by the footer to your post you don't seem to have had much luck with this model have you?

  • Solution for error code: 4SNS/1/40000000/IBOR-9.426

My computer recently has been running at its best. I did a diagnostic and gave me an error code 4SNS/1/40000000/IBOR-9.426. I wanted to get an idea what this means and what is the solution?

That indicates an internal sensor failure.  You will have to take your MBP to an Apple store genius bar for repairs.
    Ciao.

  • Crash on start up. Ran hardwear test got error code: 4SNS/1/40000000:IC0C-65.828

Have Mac Pro 13" crash on start up. I ran hardwear test got error code: 4SNS/1/40000000:IC0C-65.828
Mac is only 1.5 yrs old and out of warranty. I searched the net and found code= CPU0 problem but don't know if accurate. If CPU problem I guess a new logic board? I am pretty shocked I have a hardwear prob like this. Any ideas?

no one knows exactly what those codes mean except Apple techs.  A guide/key explaining those codes has not been made public.  While others in here can make vague gueses as to what it may be, you really need to bring your mac to an Apple store or AASP for evaluation.

  • What does error cdoe 4bat/1/40000000: 0x8b810590 mean?

My dog knocked a cup of coffee on my macbook pro. I let it air dry for a few days and booted into the diagnostic tool via the "d" key, and ran the full extended scan (took around 40 minutes). The scan gave me error code 4bat/1/40000000: 0x8b810590. I can't find anything on line related to this code, but I'm assuming it has something to do with the battery, seeing as I cant boot the computer up unless i have it plugged in.
I suspect that there are other hardware issues as well. When I boot into the OS the responsiveness is very slow from the keyboard, and the trackpad skips quite a bit. What components of the hardware does this test analyze? If no codes are returned does that mean everything else is functioning well?
    Thanks for the help.

Just a guess, but I think it refers to the battery.

  • 2007 MBP freezes, Ran hardware test got error code 4MEM/11/40000000:505c99b0 Help?

Hi all, my 2007 MBP freezes and requires me to hold power button to restart. It's happening somewhat frequently. ( installed new SSD and new battery in the last 2 months)
I ran the quick hardware test ( am running the extended one now) and recieve the following error code  4MEM/11/40000000:505c99b0
Hoped to squeeze another year or two out of this old warrior. Any ideas what this code might be?
    Thanks

This is a memory error of some sort. We don't have the Rosetta stone for these errors, so I don't know what the rest means.

  • What does (error code -600) mean?

What does (error code -600) mean?
I received this code in a pop up window while trying to open iTunes from my Apps folder.

      procNotFound
    = -600, /*no eligible process with specified descriptor*/
Could be many things, we should start with this...
    "Try Disk Utility
    1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
    2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu at top of the screen. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
*Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.*
    3. Click the First Aid tab.
    4. Select your Mac OS X volume.
    5. Click Repair Disk, (not Repair Permissions). Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=106214
Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.)
If perchance you can't find your install Disc, at least try it from the Safe Boot part onward.
    Any change?

Taken at face value, you're having trouble with an Apple Application Support program file there. (Apple Application Support is where single copies of program files used by multiple different Apple programs are kept.)
Let's try something relatively simple first. Restart the PC. Head into your Add or Remove Programs control panel, select "Apple Application Support", click "Change" and then click "Repair".
If no joy after that, try the more rigorous uninstall/reinstall procedure from the following post. (Although the procedure is for Vista and 7 and you've got XP, just read "Computer" as "My Computer", read "Uninstall a program control panel" as "Add or Remove programs control panel" and assume the system is 32-bit, and you'll be doing the right things.)

  • What is error code 603 and how does one fix it?

What is error code 603, please, regarding add-on installation?  (The error codes page says for "error 6xx" to contact the Exchange online forum for assistance..)  It is a "failed online license check" for an add-on that is a free add-on listed on the Adobe Add-ons page as compatible with PS CS6, CC, and CC 2014, as well as all three versions of a bunch of other apps.  It is a Flypaper app, which looks to have been reworked to be compatible with the new 2014 apps.  Since Flypaper apps come from reliable source, I'm not sure what the error means, and I'm certainly not sure how to remedy this.  (The original Russell Brown Paper Textures Pro works fine on PS CC but isn't compatible with 2014.)
    I am running Win 7 64-bit.
    Thanks.
    Gail
p.s.  numbers of other extensions still don't download  to PS 2014, so maybe this is also waiting for an Adobe fix??

The add-on in question is called "Flypaper Select" (by Flypaper Textures).
This morning, when I sent  the question, it was on last page of the free PS
add-on list and showed the add-on as compatible with all three latest PS
versions.  Tonight, when I click on the add-on in "my add-ons" list, it now
shows compatibility only with PS6 and CC, and  I can no longer even find it
in the big add-ons list.  I will try to send screen shot of "my add-ons" to
the address you listed.  It is also below.
Thanks for your help.  I have been finding many add-ons change from day to
day, and many won't show up in Extensions window even though the desktop CC
app says they have been installed.  I assume I am not the only person with
    these problems.
    Gail

  • Macbook Pro shutting down. Hardware error code 4MEM/62/40000000:0x7f537f90

Macbook Pro shutting down. Not the same action making it shutdown. Anywhere from being online to attaching a photo to an email to working in Word or Photoshop. Even after it's closed and not being used. I come back to it being shut off and saying it had to restart because of a problem. I ran the Hardware check and got the Hardware error code 4MEM/62/40000000:0x7f537f90.
I must say I am quite disappointed. I have used Mac for work but had a PC since day one, and I JUST got this Macbook Pro in Dec. I was delighted that Mac usually didn't have as many problems with viruses etc as PC. And now last couple days, constantly shutting itself down. The closest store to me is a few hrs away. I am in South Dakota, store is in Minnesota Any help would be appreciated.

Can you post a screen shot of About This Mac -> (More Info) -> System Report -> Memory and click on each DIMM and post the bottom right pane. You can also do the same without a screen shot using just text version using the following highlighted command in OSX Terminal. The output is also listed.
