  • What are payment options for the upgrade?

    I was wondering if I can buy the 2.0 upgrade for the $9.95 on the iTunes store with a iTunes gift card? Or will I need to use a credit card for it?

    Dragoncqb wrote:
    I think is a bunch of bull you have to pay for the update iphone users dont. And before you say it they pay monthly to AT&T not apple.
    You really need to do your research on this subject.
    I software is free to iPhone users NOT because of the contracts that people have with AT&T.
    It is free because Apple decided to account for the iPhone (and Apple TV) differently.
    When you pay your $400 for the iPhone they do not recognise the full $400 as a sale.
    What they do (and this has been very clearly stated by Apple), is take 1/24 of the $400 each month.
    This is not money from AT&T is is the money that was paid for the phone.
    Now because in effect Apple are not taking the revenue and profit for the full phone at point of sale and instead only take a % every month the buyer is paying for the phone over the 24 month period.
    Therefore Apple can and will give free software updates because in effect the product sold is not complete and can take money as they add features.
    This complicated accounting method was caused by the EXON issues and the Sabane Oxley laws that resulted from that case.
    If you would like to know more, so that you understand rather than rant, you can read more here in an excellent article that explains it in more detail :-
    http://www.appleinsider.com/articles/08/06/25/thehidden_financial_impact_of_applesiphone.html
    The iPod touch on the other hand is accounted for like all other products, all revenue / profit taken at time of sale. If Apple gave the software Upgrades (not bug fixes as they are free) away for free they would be breaking the law as it would deprive shareholders of potential revenue that should have been charged for adding features to a product that has been already sold. That is why we ahd to pay for the iMac Airport 'N' drivers as well.

  • I just upgraded to Firefox 6, but can't find any file or link listing what changes were included in the upgrade.

    I was prompted by Firefox to upgrade to version 6.0, which I did. But I can't seem to find any file or link which details what changes or enhancements were added to version 6 vs version 5.

  • What do you think about the upgrade.

    Ok,
    I paid extra $10 after buying the 32G Touch for $600...and well... the 2.0 upgrade is a disapointment for me....the best thing is the calculator...all the rest is like playing Atari back on 80's. Oh of course...unless you pay extra and extra for new apps...that probably is like playing Atary back on 90's..so the $10 is just to have the privilege of having a new calculator....

    I must confess I had a similar reaction. I was hoping for significant improvements in the core apps, like Mail and Safari, but none were forthcoming. The Mail app is rudimentary at best, and Safari's inability to run Flash is inexcusable.
    I was happy to get the free radio apps, but you can't do anything else while you're listening to them. It would be nice to be able to browse the web while listening to online radio, but once you leave the app window the radio stops playing.
    Essentially, we've all paid $10 for the privilege of being able to buy more stuff from the iTunes store. It should have been a free upgrade. Kudos to Apple for once again sticking it to their customers so artfully.

  • XML load error - when moving table data after upgrade

    Greetings:
    Background:
    Previously in our 2.2 instance, we would use the Data Load/Unload feature of APEX to move data in the form of XML from instance 1 to instance 2. This woks well because it moves images also (BLOB)
    What Changed:
    Recently we did the upgrade to APEX 3.0. The tool is working well, but we are having issues uploading XML data in the same manner we used to. The process wizard works up until time for execution.. the following error message is seen.
    XML load error.
    Return to application.
    Assumption:
    I do not believe this is an XML file issues because the file I am testing the process with is from the EMP table, and is from the UNLOAD option on the same DB and SCHEMA.. (testing is unloading the data, than re-loading the same data to the same place)
    Internally some permissions or something internal must be missing.
    Assistance or suggestions on where to look is greatly appreciated.
    Regards,
    Tim

    Tim,
    Sorry for the delay - that silly day job keeps getting in the way.
    Here is a small procedure you could use to take the XML data file format exported from Application Express and import into your table. This uses the Java-dependent DBMS_XMLSAVE package, which avoids the issue mentioned above.
    create or replace procedure load_xml(
        p_clob   in clob,
        p_schema in varchar2,
        p_table  in varchar2 )
    is
        l_insCtx dbms_xmlsave.ctxType;
        l_rows   number;
    begin
        l_insCtx := dbms_xmlsave.newContext(p_schema || '.' || p_table);
        dbms_xmlsave.setDateFormat(l_insCtx,'yyyy-MM-dd''T''HH:mm:ss.SSS');
        l_rows := dbms_xmlsave.insertXML( l_insCtx, p_clob);
        dbms_xmlsave.closeContext(l_insCtx);
    end load_xml;I then ran the following quick test on apex.oracle.com just for verification.
    declare
        l_xml varchar2(32000);
    begin
        l_xml := '<?xml version="1.0"?>
    <ROWSET>
    <ROW>
      <ID>11645117496276327</ID>
      <FLOW_ID>30072</FLOW_ID>
      <NAME>F11645117496276327/no_image_found.gif</NAME>
      <FILENAME>no_image_found.gif</FILENAME>
      <MIME_TYPE>image/gif</MIME_TYPE>
      <CREATED_BY>JOEL</CREATED_BY>
      <CREATED_ON>2007-03-14T05:06:38.000</CREATED_ON>
      <BLOB_CONTENT>474946383961C800...(data removed for this example)...41000003B</BLOB_CONTENT>
    </ROW>
    </ROWSET>';
        load_xml( l_xml, 'MY_DB_USER', 'MY_APEX_FILES' );
    end;It's now simply a matter of how you get your XML file(s) into a CLOB to call this procedure. The options include:
    1) Just pass in a VARCHAR2 as I did in the example above, which would limit you to roughly 32K.
    2) You could use DBMS_LOB.LOADCLOBFROMFILE to read it from the database server filesystem.
    3) You could upload the file via an APEX application (or some other means within APEX), you could convert the BLOB to a CLOB, and then call this procedure. If you need help with this method, let me know.
    Don't forget - as yet another alternative, you could always contact Oracle Support to see what could be done about that underlying database bug.
    I hope this helps.
    Joel

  • What is control table

    HI All,
               The project in which iam going to work have some control tables, Can any one please tell me what are control tables. The control table which Iam seeing have the following fields
    Fields       Description
    MANDT     Client
    KEY1        KEY1 for general control table
    KEY2        KEY2 for general control table
    KEY3        KEY3 for general control table
    DATA        General data field
    INFO         General info field
    Please help me in this regad
    Thanks in Advance

    hi,
    here are some information about control tables :
    The control table is the one which specifies how your data changes in the table and how you want your table to be maintained.:
    The following are the delivery classes:
    A: Application table.
    C: Customizing table, maintenance by customer only.
    L: Table for storing temporary data.
    G: Customizing table, entries protected against overwriting.
    E: Control table.
    S: System table, maintenance only by SAP.
    W: System table, contents can be transported via own TR objects.
    The Control Tables specify that it is the table where data is not changed frequently and pertains to information for the flow of the system.
    Reward if helpful !
    Thanks

  • A few months ago I purchased Snow Leopard, but realized too late that I already had Snow Leapord.  What I need is Snow Lion upgrade.  I did not open the software.  Will they refund refund this or exchange it for the Snow Lion upgrade?

    A few months ago I purchased Snow Leopard, but realized too late that I already had Snow Leapord.  What I need is Snow Lion upgrade.  I did not open the software.  Will they refund refund this or exchange it for the Snow Lion upgrade?  Thanks!

    All Updates to Snow Leopard are gotten from Software Update or from the Apple download site.
    There is no Snow "LION". there is Lion and now Mountain Lion buit both of those are Download Only from the Mac App Store. You need to have Snow Leopard 10.6.6, .7 or .8 to have the Mac Apple store link on your Mac.
    To get Lion you need to call the Apple Store, 1-800-MYAPPLE, and order it. They will send you a download code to your Apple ID Email address so you can download it from the Mac Appl Store.
    Oh and when you call them to order Lion ask about returning Snow Leopard.

  • LO Set up tables deleted while upgrading the source sys from 4.6c to ECC6

    As a part of ECC6.0 upgrade tasks, our BASIS team deleted all the LO set up tables in the source system(4.6C) and . After the upgrade, we are not finding any queues in RSA7 or in SMQ1. But, we have a lot of  Delta's and few full loads are running on BW (3.1) side for these LO's.
    1. What are the steps we need to take inorder to enable/ work the existing delta's and Full Loads in BW(3.1).  With the new ECC6.0, we don't have plan to enhance any data sources. So, do we need to set up / fill up the tables again for LO's? If yes, Since we have huge data in source system , it will take a lot of time to fill the tables,,,,Is there any option to fill the tables only for the specific period and enable deltas?
    Please help urgently interms of providing step by step guidelines.
    2. We also have the following DS (Delta enabled) with the existing source system. Please advise how to make to work for these delta's once after the source system upgrade.

    COPA DATA SOURCE
    Advance Thanks.

    BW USA,
    I think the options are given clearly. You will have to reload the data and I hope you have the DSO(Dataware House Layer) used in your BW side before the data is going to the Cube, otherwise you would have to do a slective delete and load that data to avoid duplication.
    There is one other way, but I have never tried it. I am sure your Basis team would have taken a backup of the system before upgrade. Try to find whether you can restore the delta queue (advice from SAP would be helpful as there are many control tables need to be in sync). If this option is not possible then you would have to do what is already given.
    Any 0FI_* data sources, you can go by the last available period and you can reinitialize without data transfer and load the missing whole period, as these are after image data you would have a DSO inbetween and you should not have any problems.
    For CO-PA whether it is Account or Cost based you can easily re-establish the delete and covere the missing by fiscal period load with repair.
    The steps for FI & CO are below.
    1. Reload missing data by period with FULL LOAD WITH REPAIR option.
    2. Re-init with conditions (if you already had any) without data transfer.
    I think this should fix your issues. I have not used the other two data sources.
    Goodluck,
    Alex(Arthur Samson)

    Also - my battery has been telling me "service battery" for a LONG time and then it switched to "replace soon" som time ago. Can't really see what this has to do with anything but whatever.
    That could conceivably explain all the problems you're describing. Replacing a Mac's battery should not be postponed since a failed battery will cause other problems to occur. It is also possible that its hard disk has failed, which means the information on it may soon become unrecoverable.
    ... my latest TM back up was from April 2014, can I just run this when I have rescued everthing and then it might not be as slow?
    If that Time Machine backup remains intact, it may be the only viable means of recovering that Mac's information. I suggest you do not attempt to restore its contents to your ailing Mac.
    Given that you are having trouble creating a newer Time Machine backup you should stop using that Mac immediately and have it serviced as soon as you are able. Do not take it to anyone other than Apple or a service facility authorized by Apple, for the very reasons you explained. If there are no Apple Stores in your vicinity search for an Authorized Apple Service Provider using the Contact Us link below. Use one of the options that appear under Contact Apple Support. The language on that page will be different for your location.

  • Use Current Exchange Rate from the Exchange Rate Table itu00B4s not working

    Hi Experts:
    Working with manager user, Iu2019m trying to create a Goods Receipt PO through the Draw Document Wizard, but the option u201CUse Current Exchange Rate from the Exchange Rate Tableu201D it is not working, it does not bring me the USD exchange rate of today defined in  the table;  it brings the USD exchange rate from the base document (AP Reserve Invoice), and Iu2019m not allowed to change it. What should I do?. We are working wih SAP Business One SP01 PL06. Thanks

    Hi,
    There is a SAP Note related to your issue, have a look at this.
    [http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.km.cm.docs/oss_notes/sdn_oss_sbo_adm/~form/handler%7b5f4150503d3030323030363832353030303030303031393732265f4556454e543d444953504c4159265f4e4e554d3d373033303238%7d]
    ...For companies using the Continous Stock System feature, there are three additional scenarios in which the row Exchange Rate will be copied from the base document regardless of the calculation method chosen in the 'Draw Document Wizard':
    a) Goods Receipt PO -> Goods Return.
    b) Goods Return -> Goods Receipt PO.
    c) AP Reserve Invoice -> Goods Receipt PO.
    Hope this helps,
    Son.
