My iPod Classic was stolen. What to expect trying to access my "old" iTunes library?
My iPod Classic 160GB was stolen this week. Got it for Xmas last year and had only started using it in the last few months. It was loaded with 150+ GB of music. I got a good deal today on a replacement 160GB Classic (7th gen) from Craigslist. I'm charging it now but I'm wondering what problems I'm going to encounter trying to get my 150+GB of music onto this "new to me" iPod Classic. It would be nice if I could simply sync the library to the iPod but I'm afraid it can't be that simple. Any help here would be greatly appreciated.
I logged into Apple earlier trying to get the serial # off my stolen iPod Classic and noticed that I didn't see it registered with my iPhone and my other 2 iPod Nanos. I was 99% sure I had registered it. Is this in anyway a problem? Could it have been re-registered by the person who stole it? Actually, that would be nice because I still have the box with the serial #. But just wondering what registering provides and how my Classic isn't there.
One other thing, can I simply register this "new to me" iPod Classic with Apple?
Thanks!If the media is in the library then yes it is that simple. Connect the device, load it up with your media. The problem is when you try to connect a full device to a new empty library on a new computer when iTunes will offer to replace the content on the device with that in the local library, i.e. nothing! (For anyone in that position see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device).
You should be able to add your devices at https://supportprofile.apple.com/ though I'm not sure what happens if the second hand iPod was previously registered.

I can't see what I am typing in the URL bar. Maybe 5 characters are visible an a time. The Translator Bar Covers over half of the open window.
Mozilla hasn't changed anything like that in Firefox 3.6.x versions, which is getting security patches but not any further development of new or existing features. Plus, Mozilla doesn't install anything related to Yahoo, something else probably installed that.

There was a feature similar to what you are describing, that was in and out of the Firefox 4.0 betas last fall, but the 3.6 versions never had anything remotely like what your description has me visualizing.

Error massge: trying to access (not existing) server
Hello.
I have a strange problem i really need help to solve.
Everytime i start FCP, or iPhoto i get an error message (or popup windows) saying that the computer could not access server kellerkind.
The thing is: that server is not existing in my network!!!!
I once used to have a synology diskstation with that name, but that is long ago!
After i removed the diskstation i installed my OS completly new, WITHOUT importing any data from my previous system. It is even a totally new computer!!
But i still get the message that a connection to the old server is not possible!
I wonder where ML does even know the name kellerkind from. I never typed it one on the new machine!!!!
Does some can provide me with any usefull information?!
I tried to track down, what programm is trying to access that old server in which context, but there not a single file on my system that contains the word "kellerkind". Well... one bookmark in Safari is... but i dont think thats the reason. I checked everything with terminal and |grep.
This popup is really nagging me and driving me crazy....
please, anybody help!!

Rebuilding the iPhoto Library really solved my issue!!!
Now that i think of it.... the Library was really the only thing i copied from my old machine. Somehow it must have had a reference to the old server (2 files where fix while rebuilding)

What can I do to fix an ld Power Mac G4 that gives an I/O error message when trying to access Entourage?
You mean when you try to just start it?
Could be many things, we should start with this...
"Try Disk Utility
1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu at top of the screen. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
*Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.*
3. Click the First Aid tab.
4. Select your Mac OS X volume.
5. Click Repair Disk, (not Repair Permissions). Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."

Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.)
If perchance you can't find your install Disc, at least try it from the Safe Boot part onward. -
Shut down and restarted computer, "browser error" still pops up when trying to access documents using Google doc's.

It says:

You cannot sync iphones to ipads.
You would sync the ipad to your computer, just as you do your iphones. -

If I understand correctly , it is nested installation .
Windows Hyper-v is bare-metal hypervisor .
Please try to install win8 on real hardware then enable hyper-v to install VM .

I am trying to access my pictures off of my old iphone, it says disabled and i don't remember my password. If I restore the device will i lose my pictures because that is what i am trying to avoid? I originally had my phone set up with itunes through the at&t store here locally so the odds of them having that same computer are probably pretty slim.... Any other options?

What is your server environment (Windows Server, or Mac OS X Server, or Linux)?
What security is implemented in your environment - as what is restricted (RDP for all or specifc credentials on all machines? Are you part of local admin group to the server you wish to connect)?
Does your environment Support CISCO IPSec connection? If so use Settings> VPN and IPSec tab to enter VPN details, if not then go with above suggestion. IF your restricted to RSA then either built in VPN settings or 3rd party app for RSA would suffice.
Finally, there are many RDP applications out there I use "Mocha RDP Light" (free minimal ads when launched not when connecting). -

it seems my subscription had expired so I signed up again.. It was still having trouble so I repeated the sign up process again.. Then it worked perfectly.. Unfortunately, I think I just subscribed twice and need to cancel one of them. Ugh. Such a pain when I'm trying to get this project completed. I'll be canceling at least one of the subscriptions in the morning. Adobe is not my favorite company right now. None of this was intuitive. And trying to get help was an absolute waste of an hour.

How do I access from this new computerOn itunes open the store tab and click manage accout, once your in there should be a settings tab called devices, remove the old computer and then try to authorize yours under the store tab in itunes.

I'd like to share an issue which occurred during one of my recent configurations as well as the associated solution which worked for me.
While configuring Hyper-V Manager on a non-domain joined Windows 8.1 Enterprise client, to communicate with a non-domain joined Microsoft Hyper-V Server 2012R2, I received the following enjoyable message:
Hyper-V encountered an error trying to access an object on computer '.....' because the object was not found. The object might have been deleted. or you might not have permission to perform the task. Verify that the Virtual Machine Management service
on the computer is running. If the service is running, try to perform the task again by using Run as Administrator.
As it turns out I forgot to change the machine name on the Hyper-V server. It's worth noting that it's also necessary to add an entry in the client machine's HOSTS file which matches the computer name of the Hyper-V server.Hi ITMAGE,
