A. Features are used to default the values. E.g. TMSTA to default TIME MGT STATUS, SCHKZ to Default Work Schedulr Rule....

PAY ROLL AREA is created to group employees who are being paid on the same day , WE useu Feature ABKRS to default PAY ROLL AREA this feature will directly give pay roll area in infotype 0001 , It would Reduce Confusion.
3. Is there any difference between pu03 and pa30 infotype 0003
PU03 and info type 0003 are one and same but we dont maintain info type 0003 system automatically maints it any changes to be done are made in PU03 and
pa30 is used to change MASTER DATA eg change of employee contact no or any other details we do it in PA 30.

As mentioned above, settlement is to post the cost to cost centers or any possible receivers as per the settlement profile. PM / Service orders, WBS elements, etc., can be temporary cost bearers from which cost should be settled to some permanent receivers.
Cost elements / Cost element groups should be available as Master data before configuring settlement profile.
To answer your latest query, there are 2 type of cost centers.
Sender Cost Center - Against this, labor / internal activity price will be maintained in KP26. This cost center will be maintained in PM / PP work centers. While creating PM / PP orders, one of the work centers & activity types will be mentioned. Based on the KP26 entry for the combination of Activity type & Sender cost center, price will be picked & calculated according to work hours / labor hours maintained in PM / PP orders.
Receiver Cost Center - Receiver cost center is the department / location cost center to which cost should be settled. Only receiver cost center will be maintained in settlement profile. Sender cost centers will be picked up automatically from work center.

Not a problem but a query. Firefox has just updated and is showing euballot-1.1 but no mention of GB. what is euballot? why is it showing?

The update you got is the correct update, you will have the same version if you downloaded the full setup file.
The EU ballot relates to an agreement that Microsoft reached with the European Union so that Microsoft would comply with EU anti-trust laws. Microsoft historically had a dominance in the browser market as Windows has IE pre-installed. The agreement led to Microsoft creating a a "browser ballot" system which would see its users presented with a page advertising other browsers.
I believe Mozilla use the EU ballot downloads as a method of tracking how many additional installs occurred as a result of the agreement.

Lastfmhelper? What is it and why is it always "not responding"?

When ever I pull up Activity Monitor lastfmhelper is always red and not responding. Anyone have any idea what it is and why it's misbehaving? I noticed this because my 10.5.2 iMac Core 2 Due will all of the sudden become unresponsive. When I brought up Activity Monitor lastfmhelper was, as I said, red and "Not responding".

It is not an OS X component so it must be from a third-party software product you've installed. A Google search only turned up a reference to a Windows file. There is a web radio site, Last.fm. You may be using software to access the site or installed software from the site to listen to their internet broadcast. If this rings a bell, then locate the software and uninstall it. It my not be compatible with Leopard.
Uninstalling Software: The Basics
Most OS X applications are completely self-contained "packages" that can be uninstalled by simply dragging the application to the Trash. Most applications create preference files which are stored in the /Home/Library/Preferences/ folder. Although they do nothing once you delete the associated application, they do take up some disk space. If you want you can located them in the above location and delete them, too.
Some applications may install an uninstaller program that can be used to remove the application. In some cases the uninstaller may be part of the application's installer, and is invoked by clicking on a Customize button that will appear during the install process.
Some applications may install components in the /Home/Library/Applications Support/ folder. You can also check there to see if the application has created a folder. Locate the item in the list for the application you want to remove and click on the "-" button to delete it from the list.
If an application installs any other files the best way to track them down is to do a Finder search using the application name or the developer name as the search term.
There are also several shareware utilities that can uninstall applications:

What is Other and why is it 22G?

An iPad had 10G of Other on it. I did a restore and now it has 22G of Other. What is Other and why is it there consuming drive space?

"Other" is basically non media content.... The italicized text is the C&P text from an old discussion.
"Other" includes data such as contact information and photos assigned to contacts, calendar events, Safari bookmarks/cookies/history, notes created with the Notes application, SMS messages, email stored locally or cached, and 3rd party application data created and stored by the application.
This may be the result of some of your music, video, or photos transferred from your computer being mislabeled during the transfer process. The only way to resolve this is by doing a Restore with iTunes.
A corrupt sync, a sync that did not finish or was interrupted, corrupt photos or files - things like that can cause "other" to soar sky high. Your 22GB is way out of whack as you know.
You restored and that made it worse so if if one the suggestions in here helps.

Sales organisation is the highest level of organisation with in the sales dept.All the sales related issues like customers agreements is going to takes place at the sales organisation.
And for the every business transactions that we do with the customers all the financial postings will be done and these needs to be updated to the company code.
Because in the company code all the financial related like P&L A/c,Balance sheets are going to be prepared.
Due to this purpose the sales organisation needs to be updated to company code......
Pls rectify me if i am wrong........

Why not create a Indesign Javascripts web library ?

Hi all,
I see a lot of scripts passing by in this forum. I thought it would be very helpful to gather them in a library. It could look like a web site like this one for applescript

Maybe it already exists and I would be pleased to hear it (and know how to reach it :-)). But if not, this kind of library would be a very interesting resource.
The idea is to have a look on existing scripts and aggregate bricks for new one. With time, the library is growing more & more.
Maybe another Utopia, but I drop the idea.
BTW, I don't know how to create a site but I guess it could be a very simple one.
What do you think ?

Why environment created failed ?

I work bdb at vxworks V5.5.1. I use bdb of V4.75 about C.
I create env by the following flag:
     open_flag = DB_CREATE | DB_RECOVER | DB_INIT_LOCK
     | DB_INIT_LOG | DB_INIT_TXN | DB_INIT_MPOOL | DB_THREAD;
     But result is failed, error code = 0xc80003.
     So I delete DB_RECOVER from open_flag. The result is OK.
     Env was created ok! So I don't know what happened.
     I trace the source code. I find if I "#undef HAVE_REPLICATION"
     in db_config.h. Then all seems to be ok. But When I reboot os,
     error just said: "/flash/soe/log.0000000017: log file unreadable"
     But I do set:
     p_env->log_set_config(p_env, DB_LOG_AUTO_REMOVE, 1);
     Before I reboot os, I find log file is just "log.0000000015" and
     "log.0000000016" left. So "log.0000000017" has not created, why error
     just said "log.0000000017 unreadable"???
     I don't know what wrong?     Can anyone give some advice?

In "db_config.h", I #undef HAVE_FTRUNCATE 1, I'm not using posix ftruncate.

Cineform - what is it ? why does one need it ? what am I missing ?

I am very puzzled with what Cineform is. I have been to their website, but they don't do a very good job at describing what Cineform is, or what it does, and why somebody would need it.
Could somebody who has a few moments, explain what Cineform is, and what it does, and how it make Premiere better ?

Temporal compression is a way of making files smaller. Rather than storing all the data for every frame, you store only the data for the first frame, and then you store only the changes from frame 1 to frame 2, and then the changes between frame 2 and frame 3, etc. For any given second of video, 30 frames worth, only two are stored in full. All the rest only store the changes.
For news type programs, also called talking head shots, very little changes between frames, so this is a very good way to save space.
During a high action scene, a lot will change between frames, and it becomes more difficult to store the data using this method. This is why artifacts are created, errors during the encoding that do not allow a correct display of the video. This is also why a lot of professionals often prefer formats that do not create such artifacts in the source footage. Temporal compression is a good way of shrinking video for final display, but often causes issues when you use it to shoot the original scene.
It takes much processing power to restore those change related frames for display. Cineform takes the load off the processor by doing the work ahead of time. It converts the files before you import them, thus restoring the "change frames" to "full frames", making it very easy for Premiere to display them, and edit them.

I playing around with javafx for a project, evaluating this technology.
When I'm displaying things on the screen through "CustomNodes" I have to override the "public function create(): Node" method.
In examples found on google, there's often created a new Group or something like that and than be returned.
Why can't I just return "this"?
What does or should "public function create(): Node" return exactly? And why is this so?

What is Java and why do I need it, and is it safe yet?

It's my understanding Oracle has not put forth a true "fix" on the lack of security for Java. I don't really understand what Java is or why I need it, but what I don't want is something that allows cybercriminals a way into my computer.
I currently have Java disabled but strangely enough just today I received an alert that I had a Java update that I should download, (which I have not done as yet.)
Would appreciate any assistance.

You should always have the latest Java version installed (current is 7U45) even if you have disabled the Java plugin in Firefox or uninstall Java completely.
Note that current Firefox version will not enable the Java plugin.

What are the basic steps for creating a content repository?

I am trying to create a document store on a file system (fsdb) that will hold files that are ftp's to that location. Is this possible using KM? If so, what are the basic steps for creating a file system repository and using it through KM? I have found stuff on help.sap.com but that only tells you what each component does not what actual steps need to be taken to setup KM, such as user rights , creating an entry point, so that all of KM is not visible, etc...
If anyone knows of any guides that show a step by step process that would be great too.

First of all you need to create a new repository
Suppose you want to add all the documents under folder Paul under C: Drive
(Even you can put whole documents of C: drive into Paul)
Navigate to System Admin -> System Configuration -> Knowledge management -> Content Management -> Repository Manager -> File System Repository
There you can create a new directory by clicking on button New
Give the parameters as follows :-
Name               :           Anything you like
Description       :           Anything you want
Prefix (must start with /) : Probably same as your repository name like \Paul
Lookup mode : caseless
Root Directory   : C:\Paul
NOTE: This is the trick. You need to give the proper path means folder path which you want use as repository)
Repository Services : Any services you want
Property Search : Managercom.sapportals.wcm.repository.manager.generic.search.SimplePropertySearchManager
Security Manager         :           AclSecurityManager
ACL Manager Cache   :           ca_cm_rep_acl
The save it
Now see whether the same repository is coming under KM Content or not, if not may be after restart it will come.
