Firefox is a highly customizable web browser with a lot of personalized add-ons, persona's and themes, it's the Cadillac of choice amongst web browsers. It can be a little heavy, but that choice is up to the user.

What are you trying to do? Download free stuff? Should be very careful, a lot of bad stuff out there.
Only download from safe places like MacUpdate.com, CNET downloads and perhaps Sourceforge, most people here won't trick you as Apple will hang them if they try.

Probably the easiest way is to use Onyx.
If you show invisibles you can see ds_store in each folder.
Open Terminal.app (it's in /Applications/Utilities) and copy & paste this command at the prompt...
sudo chflags nohidden
Press return.
The reverse is
sudo chflags hidden -
When I open my gmail account in firefox it tells me I need to download the new firefox 5.0.1 so I do. After download it tells me to move icon to applications folder, so I do. Then it ask about replacing my old and I say yes. Then it tells me it can't because of sufficient privileges for some of my items. Can you help?
If you have problems with updating or with the permissions then easiest is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.
Download a new copy of the Firefox program and save the DMG file to the desktop
* Firefox 5.0.x: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html
* Trash the current Firefox application to do a clean (re-)install
* Install the new version that you have downloaded
Your profile data is stored elsewhere in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Firefox Profile Folder], so you won't lose your bookmarks and other personal data. -
I got on this morning to check my balance as i get a direct deposit from my work. Once i checked my bank i logged off as normal. then hit the home button. It did not direct me to my home. yahoo.com but went instead to msn.com. so i went into my options and reset my home page. Now when i hit my home page it grabs my bank page and adds a new tab to try to open my bank page while i am at my home page. so i must either have some spyware either through a webpage i visited or your software has a leak somewhere someone cracked. please help me with this if it is indeed a problem with mozilla.
I did some googling and found alot of topics from you on this issue, to me it simply seems like on of the connectors is broken or loose.

I have installed new windows 7 and i was not having pdf viewer. I just downloaded the latest adobe acrobat reader DC for the adobe site and installed in my PC. Thing is, am able to open some of the PDF files (word document that is converted into PDF). But scanned images for example photo or mark sheets that are converted into PDF, am getting this error message.
I tired almost everything.
1) un-installed and installed again.
2) installed previous version of adobe
3) unchecked the "Enable, protection mode during startup"
4) tried setting zero for "bproectmode" in the regedit (key_host_local_machine->adobe->dc> Dword with value 0)
5) created new administrator account, and even there, i got the same error message.
6) tried repair installation said by Sukrit...
But nothing fixed my issue
Please someone help me in fixing this issue. -

My back and forward buttons do not work also the refresh button does not work, I have reloaded the latest version of fire fox and that did not help. If you mean that you don't have a rescue email address set up on your account as described on the page that you posted from (you won't be able to add one until you can answer 2 of your questions) then you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset.

With Settings > General > Use Side Switch To set to 'Lock Rotation' have you then moved the switch on the right-hand side of the iPad above the volume control 'off' ?
Or with the switch set to control 'notification mute' you should be able to unlock rotation via the far left of the taskbar : double-click the home button; slide from the left; and it's the icon far left; press home again to exit the taskbar. Trying to re-install iTunes and the message "Apple mobile device failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services." But I don't know what to do? Please can someone help, I'm not the most technologically advanced person.
Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.

Try to update to Firefox 24 (just been released).
It is possible that your security software (firewall, anti-virus) blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.
