What is going to happen to Aqualogic Data Service Platform

It is not mentioned anywhere in the official documentation. While Data Integrator has many good features, ALDSP has significant non-overlapping features including support for SDO 2.0 .
Does anyone know? Or will someone from Oracle/Bea ALDSP team care to comment?

I have heard / read that the xquery capabilities of ALDSP are being fanned out amongst many parts of the whole Fusion Stack. Have also read/heard that the "federated query" capabilities of ALDSP will be pushed into the MDM efforts. Keep watching.

With the new iOS 7 update. Does anyone know what the setting "Bold Text" means or will do? Obviously I do know what Bold Text is. It says if you click on this, it says it will restart your iPhone. Before I do this, I'm just wanting to be sure I know what's going to happen.
    Thanks,

It just reboots the device and bolds the system fonts.  No harm done.  If you don't like it, undo the setting, it will reboot and back to as it was.

  • If I change country what is going to happen ?

I purchased my iPad when being in Switzerland. When there I started to subscribe to magazines or services thru the local App Store. When I came back to the country I am living in the 1st thing I noticed was that my subscription to Eurosport wasn't working anymore due to rights issue. Bummer !
Now I would like to purchase services thru the Chilean App Store (because it seems that one application I want is not available from the Swiss store) but it seems I can't shop in both shops. When I wanted to switch I got a message saying "You must spend your balance before you can change stores.". What ?
When I'll change store what is going to happen with the magazine I am reading purchased from the Swiss store ? Am I going to be able still reading the publication I purchased ? I have got a magazine's subscription for one year, am I going being able to read it ?

You have to use the Store in the country where you lives. If you have some credit balance you must spend it in order to change countries. If your store credit is less than the cost of a single item on the iTunes Store, App Store, iBooks Store, or Mac App Store, you can add a credit card to your account.
After you change the country of your account, you won't see the items you purchased from the previous country’s store in the Purchased section.
You will not lose your original iTunes purchases. Since the magazine subscription is not available in your new country, you will not be able to download the new ones.

Consider the free Weebly — it's a browser-based builder, so you'll be able to update your site from any modern Mac or PC. And Weebly's net promoter score — an industry calculation of how likely users are to recommend a service to others — is an unusually high 80%. (Source)

  • Did not pay my bill, what's going to happen to me?

Well long story short Verizon ripped me off and won't admit to it. I refuse to pay my bill a month and a half ago. my phone is deactivated. What is going to happen to me in terms of what I owe? And will I keep getting charged every month?

    rcschnoor is correct.
Definitely do not have all details needed.
Heres the route the account will take.
    Im assuming:
    1. The account has been disconnected due to non-payment.
    2. There is a balance owed on the account..
Consequences: Financial services calling you. You will be offered a settlement, which is lower than you bill due. Should you refuse will eventually go to collections and then will affect your credit. Depending which collection agency it goes to they may file to garnish your wages.

  • So what now? Will Apple ditch iWeb? They could at least tell us what's going to happen. If they ditch the app I'll ditch Apple. After all I bought the Macs for my wife so she could make her own websites.

iWeb will still function, even after being ditched by Apple, so your wife can continue creating beautiful webpages.
If they ditch the app I'll ditch Apple.

  • Aqualogic Data Services Question

    Hello,
I have recently downloaded BEA's Aqualogic Data Services 3.2 suite. We have requirement which requires that we effect CRUD operations on one table from another. Data sources have been created in WebLogic Server to this purpose. Within the Data Services suite, the necessary physical data services have also been set up - one for the source table and another for the target table. I am able to view the data within these tables by using the "Test" facilities, as provided uder the "Test" tab relevant to each of the physical data services. Both tables have the same exact number of attributes, and the type of attributes are exactly the same (i.e.: attribute 1: varchar2(20), attribute 2: varchar2(150)), so no complexity there.
I would now like to poll the the source table (physical data source) and effect the required Create/Update/Delete operation operation in the target table (physical data source).
    How can this be done?
Any useful answer to my question, or reference to a thorough document describing an answer would be greatly appreciated.
    I thank you in advance.

Currently there is no DB adapter for Oracle Service Bus (AquaLogic) This should be avaliable early 2009. Although it may be some support for this in the 100 day release due this month, I forget what has been promissed in which release.
Therfore you would need some external app to do the polling and invoke the AquaLogic. If you have Oracle SOA Suite you could use ESB or BPEL to do this then invoke AquaLogic.
There is this link that creates a transport for Oracle PL/SQL which may be of some use.

  • What happened to the data service recently?

I switched to Verizon last summer partially because the data service was so good.  I have an hour drive to work every morning, and I typically listen to internet radio through my phone for at least half the time.  With my previous carrier, the service became so bad that it became too frustrating to listen.  When I switched to Verizon, I had almost no disruptions when listening.  This great service continued until a few months ago.  Since then, the data service is terrible.  The station skips all the time, sounding like a CD with a scratch on it, and it just completely stops to catch up at least 10 times each morning... in 30 minutes!!  Just like the old carrier, it's becoming almost unusable!  What's going on?! Why is the service so bad now! Nothing has changed with my phone (no new phone anyway... I'm sure there have been updates, etc.) or my route, but the service is just aweful!! Please help!!

    I drive from Brimfield, IL (61517) to Bloomington, IL (61704), primarily on Interstate 74.  It appears that I pass through the following zip codes: 61528, 61615, 61604, 61603, 61611, 61550, 61733, 61742, 61729, 61725, 61705, 61761, 61701.
I rarely make phone calls, but I can't recall experiencing any issues with them.
Somewhere on these forums, I did see mention of an update resetting the Global Data Roaming Access to "Deny data roaming access" and that switching the setting back to "Allow access for all trip" may help with data issues.  I made that change, but have not seen any noticable improvement.
Thanks for any assistance you may be able to provide.

  • What is going to happen with cable cards on 10/12/2010 ?

I just received a letter about possible issues with my cablecard(s), there is a phone number to call but that is of no help. When you call that number you get routed around (maybe disconnected it happened to me) and finally connected to someone who does not handle this. While they tried to get information there was not a clear answer.I have a Panasonic plasma with internal cablecard it seems that one of a few things are going to happen. 1) Nothing 2) loss of all channels 3) Loss of premium channels. I also heard that this enhancement will be going out to other areas on 9-15-2010.
My suggestion to Verizon is before you make such enhancements understand what they are going to do and inform your back-office people. That way when you send out a letter like the one I received they will be able to answer the quest "What are they talking about?"
If anyone knows what will happen please let me know.

My understanding is that it's a required change in order to enable the new STB's to be able to be used on the network in conjunction with the existing Motorola boxes.   So, it's a technical requirement in order to allow them to enhance their service offering to the customer base at large.  It's not a case of "we don't want to do it any more", it's a case of "we need to make this change to allow us to offer new and improved services".
You are right that people have the option of "voting with their feet", but since this is a "standards" issue, if the enduser device doesn't properly support it and the manufacturer stated that they were CableCard compliant, I'd go back to the manufacturer and demand a fix or claim they sold you a defective product or are guilty of false advertising.   If Verizon were implementing something which wasn't part of the standard as already defined, then I'd see the point differently, but in this case I think they are well within their rights
I'm betting Verizon is eyeing the upside of enhanced DVR's, etc. in their service offering as a valuable revenue stream which will far offset any fallout from folks who have faulty equipment.

  • What's going to happen to iweb with the introduction of icloud?

I have a couple of web sights I've created with iweb on mobil me. Is iweb going to be able to use icloud's server space for my sights?

Apple's web hosting goes away in a year.
You can still use iWeb with another host.  There are a few things that won't work, but most will.
See http://www.apple.com/mobileme/transition.html and the link in the What happens to the iWeb sites that I’ve published to MobileMe? section.

  • What's Going to Happen?

    Hi -
As it stands now, for this month only. when you bill my card in the 30th of Dec, chances are it's going to get rejected. I won't be able to cover the cost this month's subscription until the 3rd of Jan, as my last subscription was billed. Could you tell me how this is going to impact me and my student subscription? You WILL get paid, just not on time (4 days late).
    Thanks -
    - Sharon Harmon

    Hi Sharon,
I think what will happen is the billing fail initially and then try again in 3 days and succeed. The subscription has a 7 day grace period so I don't think it will impact your usage. Hopefully you have some kind of overdraft protection to avoid charges on the bank side.

  • No SIM message and Cellular Data grayed and unresponsive, what is going on?   My cellular data quit working as I sat on the Mexican border.  Took to ATT store and they said this is common problem near the border.  They fixed, but it failed in Mexico.

I purchased a domestic and international cellular package from ATT.  Domestic worked for two days as I drove toward Mexico.  As I sat two miles from border I tried to us cellular data again, but got No SIM message and cellular data switch greyed,.  I called ATT and they told me to move away from border and try again.  Didn't work.  Called ATT back and they said go to ATT store in Sierra Vista, AZ.  Lady there fixed and told me, "You are good to go."  But she cautioned not to use until well into Mexico as sometimes domestic and international packages get confused near the border.  I waited until I was about a hundred miles below the border and tried.  Same message and same greying of cellular.  Took to ATT when I returned.  They changed SIM card and said problem is with Apple.  Took to Apple and they say problem is with ATT.  The fact that the ATT rep in Sierra Vista fixed makes me think it  is software.  I see that similar problems are common but solutions are vague and varied.  Help please.

Has any had you try a reset yet? Sometimes the WiFi & Cellular anntennas get wacky.

  • What is going to happen to my Final Cut Pro X projects if I reinstall the program?

Hi, I am experiencing some problems with 'final cut pro x'. It is acting extremely strange, I have tried a few things but that didn't help, so now I am considering to reinstall it. My only concern being what will happen to my projects(will they be left in place, modified or deleted?)

If it's the same version that's being reinstalled (i.e., 10.1.1) neither the projects nor the events should be altered. That said, it's always smart to have back-ups of the projects, events and any external media they reference.
If you want to get some ideas from contributors here about your FCPX problems, describe them in a post. Also specify what your system specs are, what kind of media and what kind of projects?  Possibly the problems can be fixed without resorting to reinstallation.

  • What's going to happen to all the iWeb hacks when the next version comes?

When I refer to iWeb hacks in the title, I'm thinking of non-Apple software like "iWebsites" and "iWebenhancer".
From reading this forum, I've already learned how to have multiple websites on iWeb by duplicating and copying the domain file to different folders in my computer, where I work on different websites separately.
Now, I am thinking of getting "iWebenhancer" because I want to paste in some things, like "google adsense" and "youtube"/"Revver" video clips into my sites. HOWEVER, I am worried that all my hard work on my iWeb sites is going to get thrown out-of-wack when the next version of iWeb comes out early next year with iLife 2007 (I am presuming it will be released).
What do other forum users think? I know it can be only speculation now, but still I'm curious to know if anyone else is pondering this.

All of what you are saying is certainly possible. The next version of iWeb could potentially make all the workarounds that we do to edit HTML obsolete. To be sure, this is a net positive. But for those of us with more complex and more "post-processing" heavy sites, it will probably mean that we need to make some changes.
From a purely speculative viewpoint, I'm going to guess that the next version of iWeb will make adding external HTML snippets via post-publishing unnecessary. This would probably mean that we will be able to put whatever code we want to add right into the iWeb workspace....maybe somewhat akin to how iWebEnhancer works....but all built into iWeb. So as far as retooling our websites, this would simply require a one-time "put all your external code into iWeb and make sure it works" overhaul.
And I'm going to further speculate that the next version of iWeb may present us with many more desireable features....some that may make us want to abandon the way we do things now and possibly also abandon the very things that we strive to add to our sites today.... I'm thinking about more dynamic content with more user-interactivity. My point here is only that we might not mind the chance to overhaul our sites too much once we see the new features available to us.
Maybe I'm hoping for too much, though. I don't know. Your guess is as good as mine.
