What is iCloud?! I am trying to delete songs in my Itunes library and I follow the instructions and instead of deleting the song, it asks me if I am sure I want to hide this song in iCloud!?! I don't even know what iCloud is?

It's the online version of the song you are deleting from your library, if you hide it you won't see it any more.

How do I delete a song from my Itunes music library? I follow the instructions and right click on the song and then select "delete" as specified and my info claims at that point it will ask if I want to send this song to my trash bin, but, instead, when I try to delete the song, I get another window asking "are you sure you want to hide this song in iCloud? Long answer:
iTunes in the Cloud is a feature of your iTunes store account that allows you to redownload or stream your past purchases. When you delete a purchased track that is downloaded to your computer (like the first one shown here) you are asked if you also want to hide the song from iCloud. This would remove it from the computer and also stop it showing up with the iCloud symbol as the other tracks from that album (which are not downloaded) do.
If a track shows with the cloud symbol you can play (stream) it by double-clicking the title, or click the cloud symbol to download a local copy to your library. If you try to delete one of these tracks you get a slightly different message confirming that you want to hide the track. Clicking hide will remove the listing from the library and any other device that shows your past purchases.
Should you want to retrieve any item hidden in this way at a later date use Store > View My Account > iTunes in the Cloud > Hidden Purchases > Manage.
To hide all your previous purchases that are not downloaded to your computer use Edit > Preferences > Store and untick Show iTunes in the Cloud purchases.

While I agree that it would be nice if it was easier to transfer media from your Apple devices they should never be used as the sole location for any of your media. Ok I will try and be as descriptive as possible.
Everyone is having similar problems, sorry for the repeat if this is a repeated event.
I just got a refurbished mini ipod (2nd generation) on ebay. It works on my old iMac fine, but I only use my mac at work and not a home. I have an Windows XP service pack 2 compaq labtop 76477-OEM-0011903-00101 (If that means anything). I have all the requirements. I have 2.0 USB ports. I have the latest iTunes. I could always figure out the problem with most things.
This bloody ipod doesn't want to work!!!! Before it couldn't find the ipod. And while I fittled with my computer and probably made it worse. It can see the ipod, but iTunes doesn't even know it's there. I tried it on my brother's computer. That had Windows XP etc, ect. AND I used a 1.1 USB port to load and it RECGONIZE IT PERFECTLY! I tried to load an old itunes. I did everything on apple.com about it. I don't even know if I should go on Windows site to get some info if my computer just doesn't like me.
I tried to put it on my boyfriend's computer, but now it's telling my the audio/song playback isn't working and I can't even add songs, play music on his computer. (And if anyone knows how to solve that issue that would be great!)
So please help because I really don't want to send this thing back.

Also you might try forcing the iPod into disk mode first, then connecting it to your computer and see if that makes it show up in iTunes...

I need to know if I can find my new Macbook Air laptop that was stolen from me after only having it for a month. I don't know if I activated icloud or not as I didn't knoe when I bought it that such a thing existed. I was a Window user before and wanted to upgrade to Apple. What a desapointment to me that I couldv'e prtected myself better.
Can someone help me?you would have had to turn on the Find My iPhone service on the mac to be able to track it. Since you're not sure if you activated icloud to begin with, I doubt you would have known about Find My iPhone (which works with macs and iOS devices). So at this point there's nothing that will help you find it. Sorry.

You can find the connection settings in Tools > Options > Advanced : Network : Connection<br />
If you do not need to use a proxy to connect to internet then select "No Proxy"

I understand that if I go to "File" and then to "Import" I should be able to somehow get all my previous files that where with the Internet Explorer browser relocated to the Mazilla browser...but I don't know how to do that. Give me detailed help please.
It did merge them after a fashion, glad I took a backup first even if I did only perhaps create 3 or 4 bookmarks today. So if I have bookmark separators, it's going to figure out which group to put them in (no way). Anyway I thought they would just go down to the bottom of the bookmarks menu like the other method, like when I export and import bookmarks in Firefox where they do go to the end of the Bookmarks Menu folder and would simply delete one folder.
Anyway this would not be typical because I don't want any bookmarks from IE. -
How do I get the area above the open window to display information (as in closing that specific window, "Safari File Edit View History, etc.) without having to attempt to put the cursor on it to give me that info? I am not referring to the dock which is at the bottom of my screen. Although,It too, is not visible.

Sorry, but I have no clue as to what this topic should be.When you do Safari to it's maximum size on the screen (with the two little arrows in the Safari top menu bar on the right), Safari will take the whole screen including the top Apple menubar. In that menubar is the same set of little arrows to bring Safari back to it's previous size (which you can set by moving it's borders), you bring the Apple menubar in sight by moving the mousepointer to the top of the screen, when you do not want to loose that apple menubar, you can set Safari as bog as you can by moving its borders but just until below the apple menubar. Don't touch the little arrows in Safari menubar.

why does a document get a zipper on it, I downloaded it I don't know why it's "zipped" when I try to open it it make another copy I can't open what is the problem what did I do to cause this?
Zip is a method of compressing files for archiving, and is often used for downloading large files or installers.
Double-clicking the Zip file should unzip it, leaving the original file nearby on the dektop (or in whatever folder you downloaded to).
If the Mac's built-in tool can't open it, obtain Stuffit Expander from http://www.stuffit.com/mac-expander.html That will open most forms of compressed files.
