What is in the Audition 3.0.1 bugfix?

Changes in Adobe Audition 3.0.1:
• Spectral tools no longer crash machines with more than four CPU  cores.
• The Graphic Phase Shifter effect has been re-enabled.
• Performance while recording MIDI data has been improved.
• The Sequencer will now record MIDI data even if the panel is  closed.
• Adobe Audition will now launch on Windows Vista® systems where the  My Documents folder was moved from the default location.
• The application will now ignore Windows "Locale" settings to  format decimal data in comma-delimited XML settings files.
• A Healing Brush crash issue has been addressed.
• Cross-fades are no longer incorrectly added to grouped clips when  overlapped with non-grouped clips.
• Invalid cross-fades will no longer be added to the end of a  previously trimmed clip after enabling or disabling looping.
• Invalid cross-fades for clips after enabling non-session  tempo-based looping have been addressed.
• Dragging cross-faded clips onto the master track no longer creates  two additional tracks and an error in the cross-fades.
•  Inserting MIDI from the Files panel would cause the application to   hang in Edit mode for an audio file whose sample rate didn't match the  session.
• Several scenarios where cross-fade changes could corrupt a session  were addressed.
• Closing a session without exiting the rewire app no longer causes Adobe Audition to save a blank session.
• Undo no longer becomes disabled after undoing the creation of  unique copies of two cross-faded clips.
• Cross-faded clips no longer disappear after undoing move clips.
• Cancelling VST scan no longer causes Adobe Audition to become unstable.
• If a selection existed, a full session mixdown would only process  MIDI data through the end of the selection.
• The Open MIDI dialog box was not completely modal and could cause a  crash.
• MIDI Host had problems with some Spectrasonics VSTi instruments,  where it wouldn't show the entire UI.
• CD burning would sometimes create a corrupted disk but still  report a successful burn.
• Applying the Clip/Pop Eliminator no longer crashes the  application.
• Crash recovery is now more reliable when using Auto-Save For Recovery.
•  When the application detects the possible saving failure that  causes a  corrupted session, a warning dialog box now appears so users  can retry  the save.
• Transport controls are no longer disabled if a new session is  opened without closing the existing session.
• Cross-fades will now retain their original shape when clips are  moved and the session is reopened.

  • What exactly the auditing team will or should check in my database.

    Dear all,
    i am using oracle 10g database on windows server 2003 and oracle application server 10g on windows server 2003.
    now an internal auditing team is going to audit my database.
    i want to know what they will audit so that i do preparation for it.
    thanks

    i am using oracle 10g database on windows server 2003 and oracle application server 10g on windows server 2003.
    now an internal auditing team is going to audit my database.
    i want to know what they will audit so that i do preparation for it.
    There is no way to know without knowing what type of 'audit' they are going to audit for.
    1. access security? who has access to the physical hardware? how is that access managed (granted/revoked/documented)?
    2. data security? who has access to the data in the database? how is that access managed? what levels of access are implemented?
    3. financial? what controls are in place to monitor/log/track transactions that affect security has been implemented
    The biggest step you can take to 'prepare' is to either find, or create, documentation about the system components.
    ANYTHING that you tell them that isn't backed up by company approved and documented procedures is a security risk. No competent auditor is simply going to take anyone's word for an issue that is part of an audit.
    The next step you can take is to be prepared to DEMONSTRATE that what you describe has, in fact, been implemented.
    The third step during the actual audit is DON'T LIE! If you don't know an answer just say so. If a particular feature hasn't been implemented, or you know it has problems, just say so. Remember - anything you say can be EASILY verified if they choose to do so.
    Get caught in a lie and you WILL pay the price, one way or the other.
    There are reasons management has decided to audit your database. You may, or may not, know what those reasons are. If they are looking to dump you  they are going to dump you no matter how good the audit turns out. But if they are looking for problem areas that need to be corrected this is your opportunity to make them aware of those areas since that can be used to justify getting the money you need to address them.
    Got no backup server? That risks losing valuable corporate data and causing problems for users. So document that there is no backup server and the risks involved. That gives you a chance to seek money for a backup server. And so on. Use the audit as an opportunity to make a sales pitch for needing new hardware, software and people to get the job done.

  • What is meant by locking the audit statistics?

    Hi all,
    I am getting this error in the inbound IDoc ALEAUD "The Audit statistics for sending system E1Q100, receiver system QS1310 and message type ORDERS could not be locked." Status 51, What is meant by locking the Audit statistics?
    Thanks,
    Charles.

    It is basically trying to get a get a database lock on the table BDAUDSTATE to make your status updates but it was not able to.
    See if a lock exists on this table and remove it, or it may also be a case of stepping on the toes that two simultaneous updates are going for the same IDoc.
    It is basically a database lock error.

  • BSM Auditing - what would be the Audit_id ?

    Hi all,
    Please tell me what would be the audit_id in the following scenario.
    I have two nodes, say Node1 and Node2
    On Node1_
    I have created a role called “*audit_role*”
    I have assigned “audit_role” to user called “test” on Node1.
    These are the contents of the /etc/user_attr
    root::::auths=solaris.*,solaris.grant;profiles=Web Console Management,All;lock_after_retries=no;min_label=admin_low;clearance=admin_high
    audit_role::::type=role;defaultpriv=basic,dtrace_kernel,dtrace_proc,proc_owner,dtrace_user
    test::::type=normal;roles=audit_role
    On Node2_
    I have logged in to Node2 as a user called *“user1”*.
    Now audit_id on Node2 would be “*user1”*.
    After this I have logged in to user “*test”* on same node(Node2) using the command “*su*”.
         Now If login to the Node1 as role “*audit_role*” what would be the audit_id on the Node1.
         #*Ssh –l audit_role Node1*
         After successful login on Node1 as “audit_role”, if some action were carried out with this login what would be the audit_id on Node1 for these actions? Whether it would be “user1” or “test”?
    please do reply if post is not clear.
    thanks,
    Rajeshwar

    Regarding your function hanging, that seems to be because your loop never ends. Also the inner query is missing a WHERE clause:
    Select Translate(comnt_rec.comment_text,'%#$^',' ') into repvalue from test_comnt;  <-- How many rows will this bring back?However I don't think you meant to query the test_comnt table at all - it looks as though you just wanted to assign the result of the TRANSLATE expression (btw please, TRANSLATE() or translate() but not Translate() - the parser doesn't care but it drives me nuts), in which case just
    repvalue := translate(comnt_rec.comment_text,'%#$^',' ');or even include the expression in the cursor itself and save yourself the trouble.
    Another thing that drives me nuts, although not the rest of the world apparently, is the name "c1" for a cursor. Why don't you name your variables "v1", "v2" etc? If you had two cursors would you seriously name the second one "c2"?
    While I'm at it, what kind of a name is "test_comnt"?

  • Unable to get the composite instance for the invocation. This could be because instance has not yet been created or because the audit level for the SOA infra has been set to Off

    I am on Oracle 11.1.1.7 BPM suite on W8 64 bit. I can't launch the flow trace and get the error "Unable to get the composite instance for the invocation. This could be because instance has not yet been created or because the audit level for the SOA infra has been set to Off".  I have set the audit level to development at the soa-infra>SOA Administration> Common Properties > Audit level set to development and Capture Composite Instance State is Checked.
    Can somebody advice.
    Thanks

    Can you please confirm me the following steps...
    Log in to the EM console, Expand soa-infra (soa_server1) , go to the partition where your composite is been deployed, Click on your composite, On the right, click on the dropdown Settings and choose Composite Audit Level. you can choose to set the Audit Level for this composite. If you choose Inherit, it will take the settings to what the server is being set to. Otherwise, we can override it by choosing Off, Production, or Development.
    Make sure your setting for that composite is not Off, keep inherit or production or development.
    Thanks,

  • Is there a way to modify the name displayed in the Title Bar at the top of the Audition Window?

    It's not uncommon for me to have a copy of Audition versions 1.5, 2.0 and 3.0 all open at the same time if I'm doing some editing for a complex project.
    It would be handy for me to quickly see which window I have open without having to recognise the icons of the different versions.  At the moment, each Title Bar just displays the Audition icon and the words "Adobe Audition".  I'd like to add the version number to the name, if it's possible.  I'm happy to edit the Windows Registry, if that is what is needed.
    Does anybody know where the Title Bar information is stored?

    I have an answer you might like Howard.
    You could simply export one title to a PRTL file, then duplicate it using an Excel VB macro to change the name of the file based on a list in an excel file. You could type in a couple of dates, then just drag down to the 365th row and all of the dates would be there waiting for the macro to rename the file. Then, if you are really talented, you could find the appropriate text in the XML file and change it to match the name of the title, but without the PRTL extension.
    That way the font and position and style would all be right and the effort would be in a file you could share with the world.
    Hmmm. I might have to try that myself one of these days. Could come in handy. If you are more comfortable with Word than Excel, create the dates in Excel and paste them into a table in Word. Just be careful not to mess up the
    Edit: Oh, and of course, you import the titles back into Premiere Pro.

    Hi,
    I have the same problem when I run the Search-MailboxAuditLog command.  It has been working for 2 weeks but suddenly after moving databases from one datacenter to another and back again it stopped working.  The account running the command
    is in all necessary roles needed.
    This is what I have tested after it stopped working:
    - Search-MailboxAuditLog -Identity "xxxxxxx" -LogonTypes Delegate -StartDate (Get-Date).Adddays(-1) = Works
    - Search-MailboxAuditLog -Identity "xxxxxxx" -LogonTypes Delegate -StartDate (Get-Date).Adddays(-1) -showdetails = does not work and comes with an error.
    "The Exchange Web Service returned an error while trying to access the audit log. Reason: 'Error','ErrorTimeoutExpired',
    'The search operation could not be completed within the allotted time limit.
    Please try to narrow down your scope to reduce the result set.'."
    This is very bad for us because we use a lot of shared mailboxes with delegates and want to report delegate action on these mailboxes.

  • Validate Date if it falls within 30, 120 and 365 days of the audit date I enter on any given day

    PDF Forms in Acrobat 9 Pro
    When auditing a file, I enter the date I am auditing it.
    Example: 02/18/2015
    I then enter dates of when information was last verified. Some of these dates need to fall within 30 days of the audit date I enter on any give day and others need to fall within 120 days and another within 365 days. If they don't fall within the specified number of days for that field, I would like it to give an error message in that filled.
    Examples:
    College Grad Date 01/15/2015
    Certification Date  12/23/2015
    License Date  02/13/2014 - This is over 365 days so I do not want the date, I want it to display "Need to re-verify"

    Solved the problem- I contacted apple on their support line found on this page... http://www.apple.com/uk/support/mac/ and they were really helpful and talked me through what to do on the phone, I now have all three productivity apps. Hope this helps

  • SQLException in the audit log for the Message Display Tool

    Hi
    I´m newbie in PI Technology, and i have some issues when i try to do the next.
    This is the scenario:
    I need to communicate two systems, for one side i have SAP, and for the other side i have ADI (legal system) so, i use PI to do this (the communication), PI receive the data from SAP by means abap proxy, until this everything is correct, then i do the mapping of the data and i send a message to ADI (with the SAP XI Runtime Workbench) by means JDBC adapter, if i check the sended message with "Message Display Tool" show that the message was sent (status "Delivered") but if i check the received messages option, in the audit log displays the five next errors:
    Error: Could not execute statement for table/stored proc. "FADIA4" (structure "StatementFADIA4") due to java.sql.SQLException: FADIA4 in FILEMET not valid for operation.
    Error: JDBC Message processing failed, due to Error processing request in sax parser: Error when executing statement for table/stored proc. 'FADIA4' (structure 'StatementFADIA4'): java.sql.SQLException: FADIA4 in FILEMET not valid for operation.
    Error: MP: exception caught with cause com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException: Error processing request in sax parser: Error when executing statement for table/stored proc. 'FADIA4' (structure 'StatementFADIA4'): java.sql.SQLException: FADIA4 in FILEMET not valid for operation.
    Error: Adapter Framework caught exception: null

'FADIA4' (structure 'StatementFADIA4'): java.sql.SQLException: FADIA4 in FILEMET not valid for operation..
    if there are somebody that maybe could know what is the problem?, could the problem be the side of the legal system?, because inside of PI when i do the Test Configuration in the Integration Directory, the end of the test is successful.
    Any comment is well received!!

  • How to get the Audit info. manually

    Hi,
    I have to create loading report which include information like how many rows selected, inserted and updated.
    In addition, the client asked to see the bad data somewhere (not using SQL Loader).
    Basically, I really like the way the OWB doing in metadata management. However, I always feel like "Out of Control" when using Mapping stuff to do the loading such as processing SCD II, data exception process, error handling, audit reports. Yes, there are some white papers and OWB Exchange scripts for OWB which are useful. Unfortunatelly, my clients are using Oracle 8i and those SDK are not compatible with 8i.
    I sometimes like to consider to give up the OWB but the clients already bought the iDS for my development. (No choice).
    Any help with the Audit control tips will be very appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Daming

    Daming,
    You may want to use the runtime public views (ALL_RT_<something>) in order to retrieve audit details out of the runtime environment (assume you are on 9.0.4 or higher). For example, the query below retrieves a result that I am usually interested in.
    select mr.map_name map_name
    , t.target_name target
    , to_char(r.start_time,'DD-MON hh24:mi') run_date
    , to_char(trunc(r.elapse_time/60))
    || 'm '
    || to_char(r.elapse_time - 60 * trunc(r.elapse_time/60))
    || 's' exec_time
    , r.step_type stp
    , nvl(r.number_records_selected,0) s
    , nvl(r.number_records_inserted,0) i
    , nvl(r.number_records_updated,0) u
    , nvl(r.number_records_deleted,0) d
    , nvl(r.number_records_discarded,0) dsc
    , nvl(r.number_records_merged,0) m
    , nvl(r.number_records_corrected,0) c
    , decode( nvl(r.elapse_time,0)
    , 0, 'N/A'
    , to_char(trunc(r.number_records_inserted / r.elapse_time , 2))
    ) through_put
    , r.end_time - r.start_time exact_duration
    from all_rt_audit_map_runs mr
    , all_rt_audit_step_runs r
    , all_rt_audit_step_run_targets t
    where mr.map_run_id = r.map_run_id
    and mr.map_run_id = t.map_run_id
    and r.step_id = t.step_id
    and r.run_status = 'COMPLETE'
    order by r.start_time
    What Warehouse Builder provides you is a web-based application built on top of the runtime views.
    Thanks,
    Mark.

  • Content of the Audit Log

    Hello,
    It seems that the text of the audit log is contained in table xi_af_msg_audit ins the J2EE schema under field text_key.
    If I access this key directly from the database it seems to be unnecessarily long, with a lot of blank space padding.
    Is it possible to control what is recorded in this field and hence what is displayed in the Audit Log?
    Kind regards,
    Peter

    You can simply use the AuditMessageKey class to write your own audit log entries. A similar code would be
    AuditMessageKey auditMKey = new AuditMessageKey(message.getMessageId(), AuditDirection.INBOUND);
              Audit.addAuditLogEntry(
                   auditMKey,
                   AuditLogStatus.SUCCESS,
                   "Custom Message");

  • Using the Audit Provider to log ejb security events

    I would like use the audit provider to log security events for ejbs that use container managed security. Specifically I want to record the name of the ejb being accessed, the method the user is accessing, the time of the event and the user name of the user who is accessing the ejb.So far I have created an ejb that has method-permissions defined in the ejb-xml file. I have a number of users with different levels of permissions and the security is working.I have also installed the example Audit class that is shipped with weblogic.I am getting Audit indo in the log file, but I do not get any ejb info being logged.Is it possible to use the Audit provider that weblogic provides to audit ejb security events? Do I need to do something special to make this work?Please help, I can not find any documentation about what the audit provider logs.

    Actually I never tried to login into the provider, but I understand you just need the keys.
    Try this code, it works for me (some pieces are missing, but this is the core)
            Provider provider=null;
         provider=new SunPKCS11(providerFile);   // providerFile is a String
         Security.addProvider(provider);
         KeyStore store=KeyStore.getInstance("PKCS11");
            char[] pin=pinAsString.toCharArray();
         store.load(null, pin);
            PrivateKey key=(PrivateKey)store.getKey(alias, null);
            Certificate[] chain=store.getCertificateChain(alias);
            .....Using this approach I managed to read all the information from the provider (aliases, certificates, ...). I'm not sure that's what you needed, but I hope it helped.

  • Attribute Encryption in the Audit log

    All,
    I am encrypting attributes so sensitive data is encyrpted at rest. Found out that the audit log doesn't encrypt these attributes. It encrypts userpassword, but not these. Is there a setting or configuration I can extend that will encrypt these attributes in the audit file?
    And if there is, what happens if I need to expand the list of encrypted attributes.
    I am currently running v 6.3.x, and in process of upgrading to ODSEE 11g.x
    Frank

    Hello,
    as far as I can understand, I'm afraid that what you're trying to accomplish is not possible, since attribute encryption is something that happens 'within the Directory Server instance, between the protocol and the DB'... so the informations are sent in clear over the protocol, and this is what the audit log captures. According to the official product documentation:
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E19261-01/820-2763/bcaeg/index.html
    "Attribute encryption protects sensitive data while it is stored in the directory. Attribute encryption allows you to specify that certain attributes of an entry are stored in an encrypted format. This prevents data from being readable while stored in database files, backup files, and exported LDIF files.
    With this feature, attribute values are encrypted before they are stored in the Directory Server database, and decrypted back to their original value before being returned to the client. You must use access controls to prevent clients from accessing such attributes without permission, and SSL to encrypt the attribute values when in transit between the client and Directory Server."
    HTH,
    Marco
