I tell you there is something about the number 3 that causes havoc with computer systems. Seems we should just skip over it and move on to Aperture 4... someone call me when it is ready.
Just a little levity to distract you while you wait for Aperture 3.0+ to finish Finding Faces and Processing... whatever that is.

What is different about the new Airport Extreme?

I've been waiting for a refresh of the Airport line before I buy a new one; I can't tell if the new one is available or not. What is different about the Airport Extreme that the FCC listed in June 2011 from the October 2009 model? I currently have the UFO-shaped Airport from 2003 and it doesn't have enough ports on the back, so it's time to upgrade.
So... what's different? Is it out yet?

We don't have any official announcement or specifications from Apple regarding this so called June 2011 model. At any given time there are dozens of rumors floating around on the Internet regarding new products.
The terms of use agreement of the forum.....which we all agreed to.....do not permit us to discuss a product that has not been officially announced from Apple.
When/if that occurs, and Apple has provided us some specifications to look at.....we can talk about the "new" product.

About the number of rows used to map data in Xcelsius

Hi Everyone:
I am using web services to fetch data into Xcelsius. The information I got from web service will increase in time and what I suppose is when I run out of rows to get all data I must open my Xcelsius model and select a greater range of rows on each component to get all the data that the web service is bringing.
Is there an alternative to avoid modifying ranges of data in crontrollers when rows mapped are not enough for the data you are fetching from a web service?
It is a bit confusing, I hope I've been clear enough. I really really will appreciate your opinions. If possible give me technical explanations.

What you suggested is exactly what I am doing now, and also I increased the number of rows allowed to map en Xcelsius which are 512 by default.
I would like to know now, how many rows are advisable to increase? Because I am using some components and you must specify for each one a certain number of rows.
I test mapping 3000 and even 6000 rows but the model is too slow and I was not able to export the swf file in any format.

I have reviewed all written responses about the number in red circle that appears on ical icon and all of them mention an envelope in the bottom left-hand corner with an invitation. I have the number but no envelope. How do I remove it?

I have a number in a red circle on the ical icon at the bottom of the desktop. I know from reading previous (quite old) posts that there should be an envelope with an invitation in the left-hand bottom corner of the ical page. I don't have the envelope. My partner recently got a new Mac and was trying to join our calendars and it caused some problems for me so she discontinued that merge. We are no longer connected (by Mac, I mean). This may have caused the problem but now I don't know how to get rid of that number. I can't find any event that she added to my calendar to click on to perhaps get rid of it. Any ideas?

What's different about the CC version?

I'm getting completely confused about the CC version. Is it still possible to work on a standalone machine (i.e. not connected to the internet) or does one have to be connected to the internet to do any work? My problem is that I do a lot of work while traveling in trains, planes, etc.. and if I need to be connected then, that's it - I can't upgrade to the new range of Adobe design suite, which would be a shame!! Any help would be appreciated.

No disrespect intended but you must have been in hiding for the past year and especially since June.
Adobe have dropped the CS products with CS6 being the last, they have promised some bug fixes but users are not holding their breath waiting. The great thing about the CS range has been that they have perpetual licenses, that is pay once and use forever.
The CC is a subscription based "service" where users pay a monthly fee, users need to log in once per month to validate the license to ensure the software continues to work. Cease subscribing and the software stops working.
Please do not start a rant, that has been done to death, the situation is what Adobe have given users, take it or leave it.
As you appear to be a CS user do the math and you will see that the CC is way the heck more expensive than the previous upgrade route.
Many CS users are actively looking or have moved to other manufacturers.
In my view the CC subscribers have thieir heads stuck so far up their own cloud that the sun is shining. Meekly submitting to Adobe, if we all stood firm and said no give us CS7 they would soon have to change their working practice
If your CS is not broke, take my advice and do not fix it.

One week ago i posted a negative opic in this forum about the service of apple. My topic was cleared after a few minutes. I posted the same text again and they wrote me a email that i agreed the rules of the forum. I should sent my letter to a emailadress they gave me. Now i am waiting for one week and nobody answered. But for me its natural. When i sent my Ipod to apple nobody red my letter and so my ipod wasnt repaired. I sent my Ipod 3 times to allple and its still broken...
These are my experiences with the apple service. What are yourones?

Sorry about your posts removals, but the thing is that this is a user-to-user forum, very rarely someone from Apple would read it.
Be only technical here, that's all, no offense.
About service:
I feel your pain, the "cannot recommend Apple anymore" feeling,
BUT,
remember it is the same everywhere, and I think even worse elsewhere.
When you have a problem, do not take it from the argument side: this won't work.
If you call, pretend there are only unimportant mistakes, and people are so great nevertheless etc etc,
then
you get what you want very easily, replacements etc.
Apple still the best!
(if not as good as it used to be)

What has changed about the glass edge around FF4 in Win7?

I generally don't have my FF4 (RC1) window maximized so I see the glass trim around the FF window. However, I've noticed that Microsoft tweaks that glass trim by having a lighter shade on towards the top of the sides and a darker shade on the lower part of the sides. That doesn't appear to change on anything that has the glass trim....except as of right now on FF4, it does. The darker shade will move up or move down. I can't tell what triggers it but, the same behavior in other browers does NOT re-produce the problem.
I hope this is clear to understand, lol. Any input would be appreciated.

The aero trim moves when a status message or URL is shown on mouse over in the tooltip style box on the bottom left of the Firefox window. There is a bug report concerning this.
