What is l_s_range in the Exit?

Hi, I am new to BW reporting.  I saw the coding in user exit 'EXIT_SAPLRRS0_001'
L_S_RANGE-LOW = '06', something like that.  My question is, is this 'L_S_RANGE' a structure? how do I know what fields are there? I tried to see this in SE84 under structures, but I couldn't find it.  Can someone explain me what is this, and where to check this.
Thanks,
Sarah

  • What are logics for the SAP UI icons of "Back", "Exit" and "Cancel"?

    Hi SAP experts,
This question may sound kind of strange - isn't that obvious?
While, it is in fact a very important and difficult issue for UI app implementations when UI flow should be kept persistant. I have been feeling confused when doing UI implementations in Personas, specially when at some screens I need to add my own "BACK" button in order to go back to the previous screen (which can be different screens depending flow conditions.)
Can anyone explain what the basic logic is used for the SAP "Back", "Exit" and "Cancel" buttons (see below)?
Here are my understandings (which may not be accurate or correct):
    1. "Back" icon (left): By pressing this icon, all the changes made in the current screen are discarded, and UI moves back to the previous screen. If there are some fields already been filled with values in the previous screen, there can be two UI behaviours depending on the platforms used:
        a) Some platform will restore the values so the screen looks EXACTLY like before.
        b) Some others will leave all fields empty (While, this can be annoying if you have to re-fill all the fields).
    2. "Exit" icon (middle): By pressing this icon, all the changes made in the current screen are discarded, and UI moves back to the "Initial (or Home)" screen which in most time should be the first launching page of the app.
    3. "Cancel" icon(right): I am very confused by this key - what is the special functionality of this key compared to those of the "Back" key and "Exit" key?
I have been working in many years on developing UI apps for mobile devices, and there were no such three types of keys for UI navigations. Maybe I missed some special points that is special only on SAP?
    Thanks a lot in advance!

This may not sound that interesting so I will close it to keep our track "clean".
By the way, just want to share some finding - in Personas, when replacing the Exit or Cancel buttons by transactions, I found that "/n" and "SMEN" does not give the same result, and it depends on whether it is the Exit button or Cancel button that is to be replaced.
    Close this question.

BADI LE_SHP_GOODSMOVEMENT is called when the post goods issue is performed.
It handles a number of goods movements, so is_likp-lfart eq 'LF' will limit it down to goods movements for deliveries.

  • In what case the exit MBCF0002 is useful.

In what case the exit MBCF0002 is useful. please explain with an exmple.

The user exit MBCF0002 includes a function module that is called up when you enter a goods movement for each item.
It enables you to fill in the item text in the material document item, depending on the following data:
    MKPF     (Material document header)
    MSEG     (Material document item)
VM07M    (Additional data for material document item)
DM07M    (Additional data for material document item)
The item text is also stored in the accounting document.
    Examples:
Goods receipt for a purchase order assigned to an account: since the purchase order number does not contain a material number, the material description entered in the purchase order is used as an item text (field MSEG-SGTXT).
    Example of source text:
      IF I_MSEG-MATNR IS INITIAL.
        E_SGTXT = I_DM07M-MAKTX.
      ENDIF.
If the material description is to be used as the item text for all goods movements, the source text has the following line only:
    E_SGTXT = I_DM07M-MAKTX.

  • What's the init within the exit function?

    Dear All,
Could you help me to explain me regarding the init within exit function?
I have read already in it's sample: UPFX but i still don't understand :(. And i also read from the documentation, but still don't get the meaning .
Could anybody help me what's the purpose for this init function? Do you have some document explaining for init for exit function ??
    Really need your help..
    Regards,
    Niel .

    Dear Bindu,
Thanks an abundant for your help ..
    I got your points.
In your preceding posting, the init function has these objectives:
Purpose of init is that if we dont have any record as per the level selections, init function generates dummy records, and the exit function will be executed. If init is not there, if there are no exitsting records, exit function wont run at all.
    Actually i still don't understand ,
If you don't mind, could you kindly clear up me again about this ??
Perhaps, you could deliver the sample code :p.
    And ..
Could init function get the xth_data values ??
    / modify xth_data values ??
    Still need your helps ..
    Tks a lot

  • What happened to the Exit option?

In the previous version, I could pull down the Firefox bar and click Exit. That closed Firefox, and any later relaunch required the master password to access my memorized passwords,.
In the new version, I tried pulling down the 3-bar Menu button on the right-side of the Navigation Bar, and clicking on the Exit icon. That does not trigger a complete "exit." When I re-launch, all of my memorized passwords are still available, without the entry of the master password.
This is a security problem. I cant use Firefox if I can't protect my passwords.

Details like websites remembering you (log you in automatically) are stored in a cookie.
Are you reopening those pages automatically via "Show my windows and tabs from last time"?
If that is the case then it is likely that the involved cookies are stored as part of the session data stored in the sessionstore.js file.
You can let the cookies expire when you close Firefox, but that only works if you log out before closing Firefox.
You can set the <b>browser.sessionstore.privacy_level</b> pref to 2 (never) or 1 (non-HTTPS) on the <b>about:config</b> page to disable saving cookies via session restore in the sessionstore.js file.
The browser.sessionstore.privacy_level_deferred pref is used when you do not reopen the previous session automatically via "Show my windows and tabs from last time" and uses the same values.

For example, i have given input as 006.2007 and using the exit i changed it like L_S_RANGE-LOW = '2007003' and L_S_RANGE-HIGH = '2007003' and gave L_S_RANGE-SIGN = 'I'. and L_S_RANGE-OPT = 'BT'. Its not giving an output. but data is there for period '2007003', pls help and don't worry about points if your answer helps me.

  • In version 3.6 I can not open a website link from original page, I keep getting a new window that is blank and asking me to put in a web address. What has changed with the new version?

When on a page if I click on a web link I get a new window that is blank and asks me enter a web address. This started happening with the new 3.6 version. It seems to have something to do with what I choose for the location in my privacy settings as the window changes with each setting but I still cannot get to the new site. Any ideas? I have no problem with this in IE and I have to keep opening IE when I encounter the problem on Firefox which is annoying.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
    * Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
    See:
    * [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]]
If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
    * Use "Disable all add-ons" on the [[Safe mode]] start window to disable all extensions.
    * Close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")

  • What is difference between User Exits and BAPI

    hello sap gurus
what is difference between User Exits and BAPIs

    http://www.sap-img.com/abap/what-is-user-exits.htm
    www.****************
Where as this customer exits are again divided into:
    1. Menu Exits.
    2. Field Exits.
    3. Screen Exits.
    4. Function module exits.
These all the things comes under Enhancements.
    User exits
1.A user exit is a three character code that instructs the system to access a program during system processing.SXX: S is for standard exits that are delivered by SAP.
XX represents the 2-digit exit number.UXX: U is for user exits that are defined by the user. XX represents the 2-digit exit number
2.USER EXITS are FORMS and are called by SAP standard programs
    using PERFORM.
3.Inside the form (user exit) you can read and change almost
any global data from host program.
    4. User exits are more flexible because you have more information to use in your code but on the other hand , it is very easy to manipulate erroneously global data and lead the standard program to a dump or even to make database inconsistent.
5.While changing User-exit,Access Key is required,
BAPI is nothing function module but which is remote enabled, means you can access this fm through other SAP or non-SAP system by assingning to business object, which we can crea in SWO1 transaction.

  • After upgrading to the newer version of Firefox, a lose all my tabs every time I close. I've done what was suggested in the FAQx, but I still lose them all when I close. I want to fix this. How?

I want to know how to have my tabs save when I close Firefox. I did what was suggested in the FAQs section, but all my tabs disappear every time I close Firefox, whether using the "exit" command, or the "X" button. This was the very reason I never updated to the new version previously, but had hoped that the problem had been addressed and upgraded, now I'm stuck with having to reopen every tab every time I open Firefox. Please tell me there is a way to correct this. And, I'm not fluent in technospeak, so I need simple, basic instructions. Thank you. Mark

    Hi,
Pressing '''Alt''' + '''T''' on the keyboard brings up the '''Tools''' menu.
To see the full menu bar temporarily, press '''Alt''' or '''F10'''.
To make the menu bar permanently visible, right-click on the '''+''' after the last tab and enable (tick) '''Menu Bar''' or press '''Alt''' + '''V''' > '''Toolbars''' > '''Menu Bar'''.

i have just started reading about all these-user exits ,customer exits etc.
i have read somewhere that:call to customer exits are triggered by function modules exits.
the structure of function modules are like this:
    EXIT_RFEBBU10_001
    MEANS
Keyword EXIT followed by program name fllowed by three digits.
and the call is like this:
    call customer function 0001.
From above we can conclude that this customer exit must be used in program RFEBBU10.
GOTO SE38 andenter prog name RFEBBU10.check for above function module.
for the rest i stick to the same method for user exits and BADI that we can findthe corresponding TCODES
    using Where used lists.
please Tell me if i m wrong!

  • What's wrong with the Adobe Muse Update? 26/02/2013

I just installed today's new update and noticed that it messed up the vertical transition of the thumbnail slideshow. I left one example that is not so bad looking, but in an other case when the picture changed from one to an other both images would end up half on top and half the next picture in the bottom. The example I'm leaving shows only a weird looking transition, as if there where missing some frames to smooth or ease the exit of one image to the next. This did not happen before the update.
Also, try going backwards with the slideshow from this example to know what I mean.

  • Captivate 7 - The Exit Bug and a Solution

    Hey Everyone,
I wanted to take a second and share some good information I found in regards to SCORM and the Exit functionality in Captivate 7. Below is the blog post that shows how to make the Adobe Exit functionality "SCORM Compliant" and solved my issues when uploading my project and getting them to exit. Hope this helps
Captivate 7, Exit Bug and a Solution
Several of our Inquisiq R3 users have alerted us to the fact that courses developed with Captivate 7 published to HTML5 and SWF do not close properly when using the “Exit” button, forcing the user instead to manually close the browser window by clicking the “X” in the upper-right corner of the browser window.
Through our investigation into this issue, it appears that the process that Adobe has implemented when clicking the “Exit” button is to simply attempt to close the content window and rely on the LMS to capture and commit the session data. Nowhere did we see that the content was actually calling the “LMSFinish()” [SCORM 1.2] or “Terminate()” [SCORM 2004] methods in the LMS’s SCORM API to commit the lesson data to the LMS as required by the SCORM specification.
Adobe uses their own defined function, “DoCPExit,” to close a lesson window.  This method contains a “window.close()” call and additional logic to “bubble up” the command through the frame parents (if they exist and also contain the “DoCPExit” method - presumably because they would also be Adobe-published content files within your package).
There are several flaws to this approach.
By not calling “LMSFinish()” or “Terminate(),” the content is, by definition, not SCORM conformant.  Part of the minimum requirements for conformance are that the content calls the initialization method “LMSInitialize()” in SCORM 1.2 or “Initialize()” in SCORM 2004 and the  termination method “LMSFinish()” in SCORM 1.2 or “Terminate()” in SCORM 2004. The LMS is not required to clean up the data left behind when the content fails to make this call. So if your LMS doesn’t take this additional step (of setting ‘LMSFinish’ or ‘Terminate’ if the lesson does not), your data will be completely lost…i.e. no record of you taking the lesson will be recorded.
The call to close the browser window will fail if the LMS is running the content within a frame or iframe. Since the SCORM specification allows content to be launched in frames or iframes (in addition to new browser windows), lessons need to be able to accommodate this scenario. Even with the “bubble up” logic, once the call reaches the top most content window, and the next parent window in line is the LMS container page, the call will no longer be passed and a “window.close()” call will be fired within the framed page.  When this call is made, nothing will happen as a framed page cannot close the browser window using this command. Through our investigation, we’ve learned that at least 4 other well-known LMSs have experienced this particular issue.
Ironically, the solution that we’ve discovered is not only SCORM conformant, but also very simple and follows what we would consider to be SCORM “best practices”.  The foundation and logic for the solution is already contained within the published Captivate files (and it is the same solution whether you publish to SCORM 1.2 or SCORM 2004).
We simply modify the “DoCPExit” method that is contained within the “Utilities.js” file to call the “Finish()” method.  Just replace all the code appearing between the “{“and the “}” as you see here:
    function DoCPExit(){     Finish();
The “Finish()” method that we have inserted is, as mentioned, already contained within the published Captivate files and contains the logic to properly set the exit parameters and correctly identify whether the content is SCORM 1.2 or SCORM 2004; it will therefore make a call to the correct close method (“LMSFinish()” or “Terminate()”) accordingly.  Once the LMS has received this command, it should take care of removing the content properly, leaving no need for any “bubble-up” logic or window close calls within the content code.
Overall, if the lessons you develop with Captivate 7 work as expected and required in your LMS, there is no need to implement this change. However, if your lesson’s Exit button is not working as it should, and/or you are losing progress and status data when closing the lesson, the fix described here should resolve all those issues.
The biggest issue here is that since we’re changing published code, the next time you update and publish that same Captivate project, you have to remember to change that published function code AGAIN, as Captivate will simply publish the default code.
We have been in touch with the Captivate team to discuss this problem and they are investigating. We would hope a patch to address this flaw would be released in the near future
All credit of this fix goes to http://blog.icslearninggroup.com/2013/10/captivate-7-exit-bug-and-solution.html

Try clearing out your project cache (Preferences > General > Clear Cache) then republish using the option to Force Republish All Slides.
If that doesn't resolve the issue, you may be seeing the early stages of project file corruption.  Check the suggestions in this post about troubleshooting issues where you may need to copy all slides to a new blank project shell to try and strip out corruption:
