What is listen.exe and do i need it?

this program occasionally crashes, and seems to cause other problems when it does.  I do not use mc3 or the remote that came with the mega 180, and I don't have much use for the lcd display because the 180 is tucked away in a cabinet, and i can't see it.  I DO use MSI Radio Tuner.  Can I remove listen.exe without giving up anything?

Mmmmm, maybe listen.exe is responsible of displaying stuff on the LCD. Imagine the situacion: Media Player connects to listen.exe via a local socket and sends the information that must be displayed on the LCD. Then, listen.exe receives that information and sends it to the lcd. In that situation, we should discover that protocol to GAIN THE CONTROL OF THE LCD!!
Yes, maybe I'm just dreaming!    But... what if...
Let's research a little.

  • 1.how can I interpret meaning of TARGET  STATE   in output of command crsctl stat res -t  2. what exactly is nodeapps and why it need to be stopped before any maintenanace activity.

I have two question requesting from the Gurus.
1.how can I interpret meaning of TARGET  STATE   in output of command crsctl stat res -t  2. what exactly is nodeapps and why it need to be stopped before any maintenance activity.

I'd tried deleting my user preferences before, and it didn't seem to help. However, I tried again, and also removed the couple of actions I'd had in ~/Library/Automator. Success! Just for good measure, I tried putting the actions back and restoring the old preferences file, and everything still worked. Huh. But that's the nature of these things, I guess. At least it works now, thanks!

  • What does ubd.exe and tccd.exe mean?

what does ubd.exe and tccd.exe mean in activity monitor?

Yes it is a check to see if you have Google Toolbar (a nasty piece of software - I never use it myself).
    Bookmark these links:
Flash Player for ActiveX (Internet Explorer)
Flash Player Plug-in (All other browsers)
They will always have the latest Flash Player builds and NO bundled software. Whenever you see an "update" notice, download the installer from the link(s) and run it (them) offline to update. MUCH safer and hassle free.

  • What is Leopard 'Client' and do I need it?

    Hi There
I have OSX 10.5.8; I was looking through Apple support downloads to make sure I have the most up to date patches, fixes etc.
As I was perusing, I came across this upgrade, please see link below...
    http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1329
It was at the top of the OSX pile of upgrades and therefore looks like the most recent; the thing putting me off installing it is the word 'Client'.
Could anyone please tell me what the upgrade is for, and do I need it, or should I just get it anyway as it looks the most recent patch...
I am happy with Leopard, so please don't tell me to forget it and just buy Snow Leopard instead!
    Kind Regards,
    Mr Totsy

"Client" is the normal OS X version you install as opposed to OS X Server which is the server version of OS X. The security update is for your system. In general it's a good idea to install security updates but it's not a mandatory update if you are concerned about that.

  • What is Acrobat_com.exe and why is it on my computer?

I installed updates for Acrobat Reader, Flash, and Shockwave.  Even though I did not ask for Acrobat_Com.exe or Air to be installed on my computer, they were.  I expect this kind of crap from less reputable companies, but not Adobe.  It wasn't bad enough that you advertized Adobe Air while I was installing the other products, but then you had to install it even though I expressly chose NOT to install it?
If you want me to try some product, tell me about it and why I would want it.  But I have way too much unasked for crap already to have it be installed during the installation of another product - WITHOUT EVEN BEING TOLD ABOUT IT.
So here is the question: What EXACTLY is Acrobat_com.exe and is it required for Reader, Flash or Shockwave in any way or was it just installed so that some markerting **** at Adobe could get a promotion?

I have also installed flash player, adobe reader, shockwave and A
ir. Except I used acrobat.com and enjoyed it because of i
ts quick and easy access of being installed on my computer and shortcut on m desktop. I also hav
e other air application that I use. I had to format my computer and when I reinstalled
all these program acrobat.com wasn't installed automatically. I went on air marketplace
and couldn't find it to download. Is acrobat.com still an air application or can it only be accessed through internet browser/

  • What is eclipse 6 and is it need to install creative suite 6 family?

    hello,
what is eclipsi 7 cocoa and do I need i to install creative suite 6 family?

eclipse is an open source development environment that can be extensively customized for specific uses via plugins.  adobe uses eclipse for some of its software (eg, flash builder) so it is essential for the adobe plugins that use eclipse.

  • 2 silly questions what is boot camp and do I need it? & How to transfer PC

Okay, I've just ordered my first mac it's a 17" 1.83 refurb iMac, I've noticed a lot of stuff about boot camp, what is it? Does it allow me to transfer my old pc files to my Imac? The only files I will be transfering are pictures and music files can anyone tell me how easy or hard this will be, Thanks again

    There are no silly questions.
Boot Camp (which is still a beta until Mac OS X 10.5 'Leopard' comes out) allows you to boot your Intel-based Mac in either Windows XP or Mac OS X. It will make an extra partition on your internal hard drive on which you can install WinXP SP2.
To transfer you PC files onto your Mac you will not need Boot Camp. There are several ways to do it, but perhaps the easiest is to burn you files on a CD-R or DVD-R and insert the disc into your Mac.
For your music files: start iTunes and import all music files from your CD/DVD (File menu > Import).
For your pics: start iPhoto and import all your pictures from the CD/DVD (File menu > Import in Library). iPhoto is really the best way to keep track of all your current and future pics and share them with anyone.
Good luck and welcome to the Mac world!

  • What is AppleIEDAV.exe and why is it flooding my network stream?

I am running Windows 7 Professional, and because I have both iPad and iPhone(s), I have installed all relevant Apple products on this PC.
I have so far been able to determine that the AppleIEDAV.exe application is part of iCloud.  Perhaps a bookmark manager/synchronizer?  Not sure.  Using a packet sniffer, I was able to determine that it is gobbling up bandwidth by firing off data to an Apple address at 17.154.84.10.
Whatever this thing is trying to do, it appears stuck in a loop.  Kill the process, the network traffic dies.  Restart the PC, watch the process start up, and watch the bandwidth ramp up.
So, the question is:  what is this AppleIEDAV.exe process, and why it is flooding the network?
    Thanks,
    Don

I too am having this issue, and I'm reading through your answers above, but since I'm NOT a tech person, I have no idea how to uncheck the bookmark IE sync for iCloud) or turn off the Find My iPhone on my PC.
Since I lose my iPhone at east twice a week somewhere in the house, I use this frequently - but normally from my iPad, so turning it off on the PC will be no problem. It was just an added convenience.
Please help. The appleiedav is driving me insane - taking up anywhere from 22%-45% of my system resources and really slowing me down.
    Thanks (from a dumb user!).
Should add that I'm running Windows 8.1 and very seldom use ie. I usually use Chrome.
    Processor: Inetl(RO Core(TM) i5-3330S CUP @ 2.70GHz 2.70 GHz
Installed memory (RAM): 8.00 GB (7.88 GB usable)
System type: 64-bit Operating System, x64-based processor
    It's a Dell.
As far as programs I sync across my apple/pc devices, I sync the calendar, contacts, notes and Evernote. I don't sync mail.

  • What is a keychain and do i need it?

I have recently forgotten my login password. I got my computer reboted and it is ok now but Keychain access required tabs keep popping up and when i enter my new password it does not recognise it. It is really irritating and i dont know what to...

Keychain Access/File/New Keychain. This should make a new keychain which will allow you access with your current password. Since the keychain will be new, Mail password and others will have to be entered again.

  • Oradba.exe and ORA-12638

what is oradba.exe and what does it do?
it does not appear to be documented anywhere (on tahiti, it only shows up in an unrelated directory listing example.
i ran it with a healthy database, got errors about not being able to add a group and a user -- so I'm sure it's related to OS authentication and the ORA_DBA group
after running it (but not before) I was unable to connect to the database with any tools (other than the home page), getting ORA-12638 until i commented out SQLNET.AUTHENTICATION_SERVICES = (NTS) in sqlnet.ora

its the bit that creates the ORA_DBA group on windows

  • What is AIRegTool.exe?

What is AIRegTool.exe, and why does my security system generate a warning that it is trying to make a change in my system.
This only happens if try to open something direct from Windows Explorer, rather than through the program.
This happened to me this morning, when I already had AI open, and a file I was looking for wasn't showing up in searches.  I found it by browsing around in Windows Explorer, and without thinking, I just double-clicked.  That is when I got the warning that AIRegTool.exe is trying to make changes to you system, do you want to go ahead.
My computer has very strict security settings, and it's not unusual to get one of these warnings.  It just made me wonder what this exe file does.  Thanks to all who answer here.

    You can look for it.
If you find it, you will have it back.
If you had find my iphone activated on the iphone BEFORE it was lost, then you may be able to track it.
