What is ment by text determination wether it means copy controls are it differ from each other.Help me in this issue

Text determination and copy controls are two defferent functions in the Sales and Distribution.
Regarding Text:-
Texts in Sales and Distribution
Purpose
In a business relationship, it is essential that business partners exchange information throughout the logistics chain. In sales and distribution, this exchange of information is supported by texts in master records and documents. You can maintain these texts for one particular customer or define them so that they can be used more flexibly.
Texts can be used in many areas of sales and distribution:
Sales notes for customers
Sales texts for materials
Explanations in order confirmations
Shipping instructions in deliveries
You can define as many text types as you require (sales texts, shipping texts, internal notes, supplement texts etc.) for master records and documents.
You can take the settings for the texts from Sales and Distribution Customizing under Text control.
Features
You store the texts that are to serve as information carriers in the system and in the output in the customer master record, the material master record, and in the sales and distribution documents. In addition the following processing and control functions are supported:
Texts are proposed from the master records in the sales and distribution documents, if you have made the appropriate setting.
Texts can be copied from a reference sales and distribution document into another sales and distribution document (e.g. from an inquiry into a sales order or from an order into a delivery).
The copying of texts can be made language dependent, if required.
You can change copied texts.
You can integrate standard texts into the sales and distribution documents
Regarding Copycontrols
Through this copy control configuration the flow of the sales documents will be defined.
Example:- We have standard SD flow
Inquiry>Quotation>Sales order>Delivery>Invoice
The above flow is happening based on the copy control settings.
If you go to these transactions you can get better idea

Try quitting Pages and then reset your iPad.
Double click the Home button to show the screen with running and recently used apps. Each app icon will have a sample page above it. Flick up on the page (not the app icon) and the page will fly away and the app icon will disappear. This quits that app.
Then reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.

Text determination on copy control

Hi
We are creating a quotation through an action in preceeding document. Our requirement is to copy text data from preceding document into it. Now when I copy it online, data is copied correctly, but when I create it through an action then instead of taking data from text element it shows data from action text.
Please help me in resolving it.

I have a similar problem. I need to copy a text from a preceeding activity to a following activity. The following activity is created by action. I am getting a text, but it is not the text from the predeeding document.
In the text definition procedure of the following document, the tranfer type is A (copy), the access sequence points to the text class of the preceeding document. As "function module" I chose CRM_REFERENCE_TEXT_GET.
Can you please help me! Did I something wrong? Could you explain in detail what you mean with "the problem was because the function module that was being called"?

Text Determination Error in Upgrade Project

Hi All,
I am working on Upgrade Project from 4.6C to ECC 6
I encountered the error like the Text Determination is missing in all the Documents like Sales Order, Delviery and Billing Documents in ECC6.
But the same is appearing in 4.6 C.
I am getting the error " Error in Text Formating ".
Message No.VX201.
Could you please give your valuable inputs on this.

Check the settings again in 6.0. Follow the path IMG-sales and distBasic Func--Text Control. It may that while migrating the data certain tax type is found missing in the new system.

Text Determination at Opportunity creation dependent to the Sales Orga

Hello experts,
we try to define a text determination for opportunities dependent to the sales organisation. That means we have a text type calles e.g. "Sales Orga TEXT". In an opportunity at creation time, the user's sales orga will be determined for the opp. Dependent to this sales orga we want to determine different content for the text type "Sales Orga TEXT".
I've created a function module for this issue. I don't know how i can get the sales orga of an opp at creation time. Is there a structure which is available at this time? Or how can I get this info?

Use function module CRM_ORDER_READ and get the organization details from the output structures for ORG ET_ORGMAN or more so use the function module CRM_ORGMAN_READ_OW and get the org details.
You need the header guid of the transaction.

SD Text Determination - When does the system determine a text?

Dear Expert,
1. I would like to know when the system determines a header text in billing, for example,
- when a billing is created
- when a billing is changed
etc.
2. If a billing is already created, is it possible to have the system re-determined a text?

The text determination takes place essentially at the time of creation of billing doc. At the time of change in the billing doc one can manually go in the document and make the changes in the header text. I dont think there is an option like the one in pricing where in one can redetermine the prices.

I am facing a problem while a copy control of one service order to another service order which are having the same text determination procedures, what settings i need to do, to copy the values entered in the "text" of text determination procedure from the previous document to succeding document having the same text determination procedure.

I already tried the way you have suggested but here is a problem that few of the "text type" get copied from the preceding document and few are not.
Actually there are 7 text type and out of two text type in the preceding document and succeding documents are made obligatory mandatory and i need to copy the preceding document text into the succeeding document to avoid the re-entry of the text and i am able to copy one text type but another is not getting copied.
i expect your guidance.

To exchange information between the User and the System as well as between the objects (Ex: Customer to Sales document, Sales document to Delivery Document) SAP uses Text Determination to determine or to propose Text. Text can be determined for objects like customer master, all documents, condition records, customer material info records, etc...

Hi Balaji,
Text determination helps to copy over text obects from the customer,vendor ,material etc onto sales and shipping documents. For example if there is some material specific instructions to be carried over to the sales order , we can use text determination to get the material text stored in master level onto the item texts on the sales order. This will also move onto the delivery once created thus giving visibility for specific instructions to the warehouse or to all people further down the chain.
Text determination can also be used to move all sorts of other information too onto the sales documents..Hope that helped..

First the update to 8.0.2 is not as I far as I have read not buggy. I can do a Google search and see.
Each device iPhone, ipad, iPod must have a separate Apple ID and password so as to stop receiving imessages to every device sharing the apple ID. That fixes your initial question.
The phone ringing to every device is fixed via Face Time
Settings-Facetime-iphone cellular calls
Must be turned off (Grey) if you don't want all the devices ringing.

Text determination - sale order item text to be copied to delivery item tex

I have defined a text type and assigned to the text determination procedure and assigned those to the relevant item categories in the sales order item
How cn i configure the system so that the delivery item text should copy the same text from the sales order item to the delivery item.

To copy the sales order item text to the delivery document item text
-->You do the text determination for the sales order item and delivery item also through VOTXN transaction,
-->Define and maintain same TextId's in the sales order item text procedure and delivery item text procedure ,
-->Maintain the access sequence ,in the delivery item text procedure access sequence you put the Text Object as VBBK for that delivery itemText ID.
-->Assign the access sequence to the item text ID.

Text Determination Sales document to sales document

Hi Friends,
We are configuring text determination sales document to sales document (ZOR to ZLR).
We have done following configuration:
1. text type - Z122 ( invoice text header)
2.) test determination procedure Z1. In text determination procedure Z1 is copy button is enabled. and access seguence 9122 is assigned.
3. text determination Z1 is assigened to text type Z122.
4.) text determination is assigned to document type - ZOR.
let me know what configruation we are missing here.
While creating sales order we are giving some description in header text invoice header but the same is not copied to subsequent document ZLR. ( debit memo request).
We are using this in Resource related billing.( RRB).
Document flow is
sales order ( zor)-internal order ( ko01)- Accounting document( fb01)- Resource relating billing doc ( DP91) we generate debit memo request from DP91.
We need the invoice text entered in sales order (va01) to copied in debit memo request ( ZLR.)
We need this at both header and item level.
