What is Microsoft's preferred 'No Code' solution for editing sharepoint365 forms ?

Hi,
I'm trying to edit a Sharepoint365 form in SharePoint Designer 2010. Although I get the option to edit the code view, I cannot edit the form in the no code view of SPD2010.
Furthermore, Microsoft seem to have removed the No Code option from SPD2013 completely.
What is Microsoft's preferred 'No Code' solution for editing sharepoint365 forms ?

Hi,
The reason why removing Design and Split views of page editing in SharePoint Designer 2013 is that, the Design view “is designed to only understand the unique features
of a SharePoint web page”, which is not as up-to-date as the current Internet Explorer as well as the new web design technology.
An official blog about this for your reference:
http://blogs.office.com/2012/10/10/changes-to-the-design-view-in-sharepoint-designer-2013/
I would suggest you do the customization in Code view in SharePoint Designer 2013 which can provide more flexibility in page designing, though it will require a bit
more knowledge of web designing(HTML, CSS and JavaScript).
Thanks

  • When using stream clip what is the best format to convert to for editing...

    On FCE? Many thanks!

This is what you need to use if you want to edit video in FCE without having to constantly render.
Within the Apple Intermediate Codec selection there are parameters you can set (frame size, frame rate and a few other things) ... but these do not normally need to be tweaked because in most cases MPEG Streamclip is smart enough to detect the nature of your source video file(s) and select the appropriate settings for you.
The point is, if you're not capturing video directly from a DV, HDV or AVCHD camcorder, then you need to convert your video as above if you want to edit it in FCE with minimum issues.

  • What's the best Preferred Execution System setting for parallel testing run from TestStand

I configured what vi's I think need to be reentrant, but I am not sure what choice for "Preferred Execution System" is best for the vi's in my TestStand sequence that's going to run in parallel.  Can anyone advise?
    Thanks!

    Hi mike_22,
This option should not matter unless you have a LabVIEW VI with parallel code blocks.  If this is the case, you can set your VI to Other 1 or Other 2.  Please take a look at this knowledgebase for further explanation.

  • What's the best DIVX file conversion solutions for Adobe Premiere Pro CS4, Windows XP OS.

I am on a PC with CS4 Adobe Premiere Pro using XP OS.
I have VIO POV 1 (helmet cam) footage that I need to edit within my CS4 project.  The Footage is DIVX MPEG4 AVI and Premiere doesn't recognize the video.  I need to figure out the best conversion to maintain the highest quality format that Premiere will recognize.
What is your best recommendation on how to convert (and what format to convert to to maintain the best quality) and can you recommend a good converter program?  Free perhaps if I don't have to buy one.
I have spent days looking for a solution and reviewing posts but to no avail.  I have tried MPEG Streamclip, Virtual Dub, Digital Media Converter, Prism and many selected others.
-MPEG Streamclip doesn't seem to recognize the DIVX files (even after the 3IVX codec installed)
-Digital Media Converter (free watermarked version) seems to work to produce the DV AVI files (type II) but the quality is pretty low so not really wanting to pay $50 to use the low quality conversion -does the converter program have much to do with the quality of the output?  It also produces a MPEG2 that seems a little better quality than the DV AVI file it produces.
-Prism does convert to a high quality AVI file that does output a really high quality file that plays in Media Player (latest version) but not in Premiere Pro CS4. Prism also converts to a WMV (windows media vid) that I can use on PP but is not quite the quality of the above noted AVI.  This may be my best option???? Or is it a bad idea to use a compressed codec as wmv to edit and eventually output for the complete PP movie?
    http://www.nchsoftware.com/prism/index.html
Any insight is very much appreciated. I must get on with my editing project!!! Thanks,
    Aaron.

Jeff, thanks so much, but I'm still not quite there!  Agreed, codec packs can be dangerous but apparently the DIVX one is OK!
So I downloaded the DIVX pack, and the VirtualDub did work and converted via VirtualDub to AVI,... then tried in PremierePro.  Again no luck viewing... sound OK but the video freezes on the first frame or two.  I can view those outputs in MediaPlayer or DIVX player though. So I tried rerunning the UT codec installer and the logarith but still can't view the outputs from VirtualDub in PP.
I tried (in VirtualDub) converting the previously converted AVI file I did in Prism converter and again, can see the output in PP (still minor artifacts here and there though).
?Maybe I should just be happy with a the DIVX converted to a .wmv file but I think I will be sacrificing quality on already pretty grainy footage that I'm inserting into a largely HD film project so kinda shotty?
Any more suggestions? The help is greatly appreciated!
    Aaron.

  • What's the optimal home network storage solution for music & photos

My mac disk is full with music (.wav from my CDs) and photos/videos. That will only increase so I am looking for a storing/network solution, rtaher than having an external drive permanently connected.
About music: I want to store music in high quality (wav not mp3) and stream it to the hi-fi, but also being able to synch playlists on the iPhone/iPad.
About photos/videos: I want to be able to select which one to access from all devices (iPad; iPhone, MacBook, AppleTV..) and those not edited yet from the macbook.
Any sugestion on where to start?

  • What is the best two way storage solution for the iPad Air?

Is there a way of connecting two way storage expansion to my iPad Air?
I would like to copy video and photo files to my iPad, edit them and then save back to the external device in their edited form.
Or, am I being a bit naive?
    Clive - (London).

There is no external storage you can directly connect to natively both read and save files. Some drives, such as the Seagate solution Alfred mentioned below, have apps that can transfer files to and from their external drives, but such transfer is pretty limited, so read up on it's capabilities before purchasing. You could also consider either one of the cloud-based solutions; iCloud, Dropbox, etc, or transfer the files to and from your computer via iTunes.

  • How to set a field that automatically generates a unique 'code'/'ID'  for fillable PDF form?

    Hi,
I'm trying to create a PDF fillable form with Acrobat X Pro.
Can Acrobat allow a function, so that it can automatically generate a 'number'/'code' which I could use as an 'identifier'?
eg.  A hidden field named:  'DOC ID' and provide 100001 when added to response file as it's submitted and '100002' to another file when it another is submitted/added onto the response file etc...
I am aware that Response files, if submitted correctly, could automatically generate numbers like 001, 002 etc...
But I'd like to see if I could create a field, that 'numbers' the document for me automatically and uniquely.
Any help and/or suggestions would be appreciated.

    Hi,
to do this you need kind of interactivity in your form.
You can achieve this either by:
    1) using JavaScript onchange-events on forename and surname items, or
    2) use the AJAX Computations option of ApexLib, see: http://www.oracle-and-apex.com/ajax-computations-rich-client-feeling/

  • Looking for a solution for Sharing PDF form

Thanks all for your help in advance.
We are about to roll out a process that allows managers to provide employee feedback to us via a form I designed in Acrobat and imported into FormsCentral.
I was wondering if there was any way for a manager to share this completed form with the employee after submitting it to us WITHOUT the employee having the ability to re-submit the information. The best solution I found was Printing the form as a PDF which removed the submit button but does not allow for excess data in certain date fields to be viewable.
There may not be a great solution but any help would be appreciated.

You would have to add the managers as Co-authors or Contributors to the form.  I would use Contributor.  This will give them the ability to edit the responses (including export to pdf) but will not allow them to change the design of the form.

  • *** What is the bare min. iMac to buy for editing HDV footage

Just wondering if someone could give me feedback on their editing experiences with a new iMac, HDV footage, and Final Cut Pro. I'm hiring an editor that will be working regularly with HDV footage. I'm currently on a PowerMac DP 2.7 G5 but there isn't the budget to give him a Mac Pro at this time. Just wondering if people think a 17" iMac w/ superdrive would be enough for that person to comfortably edit the HDV footage I give them. I'd be running a 19" monitor along side the iMac, so that's why I am not really considering the 20" at this point. Can anyone let me know if they think the iMac's can handle this kind of footage? I have a last generation powermac G4 tower, but I'm assuming that would be slower than a new iMac.
    Thoughts?

While the iMac will work for you, personally I'd stick with what you've got and save your pennies till you can afford what you want. You'll be happier in the end with a machine that you can expand.
    Remember that your computer can render when that lazy editor of yours goes home to sleep. (;

  • What kind of Listener in Apex 4.1 for user convert FORMS .FMB ??

if i have intention of convert fmb file into apex and use pdf report.
    Have you an idea ??
    Thank 's

    Hi Mike,
I believe you are referring to having installed APEX 4.0.1, our latest patch release which is now available for download. You mention "+but i don't Know what of the 3 type of lister i Must use if i have intention of convert fmb file into apex and use pdf report.+". Apologies, but I'm not sure what you are referring to here.
As you are intending on converting your Oracle Forms application to APEX, I would recommend that you review our OBE (Oracle By Example), Converting Your Oracle Forms Application to Application Express 3.2: http://st-curriculum.oracle.com/obe/db/11g/r2/prod/appdev/apex/apexformmigr/apexformmigr.htm . Although the OBE refers to APEX 3.2, the steps are essentially the same for APEX 4.0. It provides a step-by-step guide of how to carry out a conversion. I would also recommend that you review the Oracle APEX Application Migration Guide - http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E17556_01/doc/migrate.40/e15518/toc.htm - for further information on the topic.
    I hope this helps.

  • Superdrive preferable to external DVD for editing?

Here are some beginner questions. At some point I plan on doing video editing, and some transfering hi-8 to digital. I own an Imac with combo drive but was thinking about switching up to the superdrive model. Is there any disadvantages to using an external dvd burner in comparison to a superdrive, in terms of cost and speed and function? Also, is it practical to do all of one's editing on the harddrive and then transfer them at the very end to a DVD burner in my wife's laptop?

You shouldn't have too much of a problem if you are using iLife '05 which supports external burners.

hello, my friend's i pad locked and need the apple id and password to unlock the setup and open the i pad but he don't remember any one of them nor his email and security questions the serial number of tha i pad is DYT*******PH and the part number is MC979ZP/A what can we do about that please solution?
    <Edited by Host>

Your friend will have to remember or find his account id and password, without them he won't be able to re-activate the iPad.
Does he have any of the account's downloads in his computer's iTunes library : Recovering a forgotten iTunes Store account name.
Or has he tried finding it via http://appleid.apple.com : Apple ID: How to find your Apple ID.
If he can find the account id he can then get its password reset via http://iforgot.apple.com
(As these are user-to-user forums, you're not talking to iTunes Support nor Apple, I've asked the hosts to remove the serial number from your post.)

    Microsoft’s announcements at SPC14.
As you have may have noticed from my blog articles, I have been huge fan of InfoPath form services and different capabilities it would bring to deliver quick no-code solutions for customers
backed by amazing InfoPath community. Although InfoPath forms had its limitations (branding, mobility support, XSLT based technology, required Enterprise CALs etc.), disciplined approach allowed me to design and maintain complex enterprise level InfoPath 2010
    and SharePoint 2010 solutions.
Ever since Microsoft has announced InfoPath Forms replacement roadmap update session at SPC14, industry and community leaders were looking forward to this session. Interestingly, while

  • Best storage solution for collaborative editing between two editors

    Hello!
I was wondering what would be a recommended hardware storage solution for collaboratively editing Final Cut Pro X Libraries. Our current process revolves us copying all the video footage onto a portable drive and copying it over to each others machine. This is a time consuming process and the process gets broken up if one of us isn't in the office. We are working only with 1080p (and less) footage and both machines are MacBook Pro's (both have Thunderbolt connections).
I've dug around the internet and found network solutions (setting up another machine as a server w/ the storage drive there) but that setup seems like a lot of work.
Is there another way to do it with a single shared drive, no additional computer setups that would allow us to edit videos concurrently? I'm not looking for a scalable solution, just something to allow us to edit from the same pool of  footage at the same time.
    Thanks,
    Aaron

If you want to edit concurrently, you are looking for a networked solution: either a drive on a server, like you mentioned, or a NAS (a drive connected directly to the network) or a SAN (storage area network, which is a more sophisticated, professional setup - that would likely be overkill in this case).
In any case, you need a fast network - at the very least gigabit ethernet. There exist NAS options for a decent price.
In this kind of setup, you would save all your media in the NAS, work on your libraries locally, and use "external media" - so the media would stay in the designated places in the NAS, and the libraries point to it. Libraries will be fairly small, and you could pass them around.
In any case, you would share the media concurrently, NOT the libraries.
