What is my best upgrade option?

I have been using AA 1.5 in Windows for some time now. Not too long ago (couple of months) I downloaded the Mac beta version, which is now about to expire.
What I'd like to do is upgrade my Windows version as well as buy the upgrade for the Mac. Do you suppose there is any way I can do BOTH for the $100 upgrade cost? Or if not that, could I use the upgrade option twice, that is pay $200 to upgrade the Windows version as well as get the new verison for Mac?
Since it is permitted to install a purchased verison on two computers, can that be extended to two platforms?

I'm not in the office right now, but as soon as I get back, I'll try to follow up and determine if an existing license is applicable to multiple upgrades. I suspect not, but I have no real knowledge of that. I do know that a single license only applies to a single platform, so you wouldn't be able to use the same serial number to activate a Windows and Mac installation.
I would recommend downloading the latest 30-day trial installations for each platform when your beta expires.

One of my clients has an environment similar to yours with an internal pair of F5s and a pair used for the access from the internet.
I am only going to focus on the method using an F5 Load Balancer and SSL Offloading. the setup of the F5 will not be covered in detail but a reference to the documentation to support SharePoint and SSL Offloading will be provided
Since you arte going to be using SSL Offloading you do not need to extend your WebApps to use separate IIS WebSites with Unique IP Addresses
Configure the F5 with SSL Offloading
Configure a Internal AAM for SSL (HTTPS) for each WebApp that maps to the Public HTTP FQDN AAM Setting for each WebApp

I have Elements 6 somewhere on one of my computers. I also have PaintShopPro (:)) which although I like it has started being really flakey lately. I'm considering getting CS5. I have a small studio and I have a college student working with me at the weekend.

Unless it has been changed back, the "commercial use" aspect was removed from the educational versions (as there are now a couple of "educational" versions, I'd urge any user to check the EULA for their specific version), some time ago. I think that it was about CS, or maybe CS2?
That commercial use limitation was particularly difficult to enforce, and I would suspect that Adobe Legal just decided to eliminate that stipulation. However, what gets eliminated, could always be reinstated at some point, so it's always a good thing to check into, just like available upgrade paths.

Hey all. So I'm almost at the point where I can finally afford getting myself an iPhone and I definitely don't have the funds to be able to replace it if something were to go wrong. So I'm wondering what is the best insurance plan for an iPhone? I'm not the clumsiest person, but I have been known to drop a gadget every once in a great while and I definitely don't want to break an iPhone.
Apple obviously has AppleCare, but that doesn't cover physical damage. I know Best Buy's covers accidental damage, but that's 15 bucks a month...more than I'd like but that's a nice incentive. Are there any other good options that would cover physical damage? I used to work for Best Buy and I've never had any trouble with their BTP plans, I'm just not a huge fan of the idea of paying 15 bucks a month. Any other plans I don't know about?

The best importing option for video is streaming from flash media server. Below I discuss the drawbacks if you use other alternatives.
i) If you use embed video option
File size will go huge. Loading time will be higher. This is not a good option if you have big size video files.
ii) If you use progressive download from a web server
Video file gets downloaded to the client machine during the progressive download. Since video file is downloaded into the client machine, there are chances of the external user to reuse the same video.
iii) If you use streaming from flash media server
Video directly gets streamed from Flash Media Server. In this case, video file download does not happen on the client side. Video file security concerns are already addressed by Flash Media Server protocols.

What is the best upgrade for the new Air?

I am looking for a new Macbook Air for college and was wondering what upgrade would be the smartest decision. I was thinking of a 13" air with:
1.7GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i7, Turbo Boost up to 3.3GHz
8GB 1600MHz LPDDR3 SDRAM
128GB PCIe-based Flash Storage
or a 13" Air with:
1.4GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 processor

The former option would save me approximately $60. What are the benefits of an upgraded processor? I have heard they would make my computer overheat more easily and the fan would be significantly louder. This is making me question if the processor is worth it. In addition, I am unsure of how beneficial the 8GB as opposed to 4GB of RAM would be. How can I optimize the speed of my laptop if I want to run Windows through Parallels? That is essential.

Hello Everyone, We create E-books nothing to do with designing and some time (Maths-Equations). Currently, We using PM 6.5 on win:98 with all that old software installed. However, We looking for upgrade either Win7 or Win-Xp. I tried on windows 7 to open my old PM 6.5 files in In-design CS5 everything worked fine. Just got stuck with "No fill patterns are supported right now. That patterns are those maths equation in that old 6.5 files which are not showing up right now in In-Design. So, if anyone could help me to fix this. I'll be glad. If there is no fix for this as of now. So at-least give me some alternative to fix this issue or some suggestion on what to do next. What are my options...? Because those old 6.5 files are very important for us and we use those files every time for reference in our new books or model papers. Our main concern is to upgrade to what we have no cue...? Thanks.

If I understand you, the bad news is you'll need to recreate those equations in ID, or in some other application and then place them.

K, I have been wanting to get a usable apple, but dont have alot of cash to blow on it. I got a G4 450 fro $20 at a surplus sale. I realize that is it a 8 year old machine, but i thought it would still be usable, running tiger.

Thanks Melophage. I've been looking into my options, together with the advice you gave. It seems like I can salvage quite a bit of data after a fresh install if I follow the steps here - OS X: Manually migrating data from another Mac. However, applications are my (only) concern -- for my iLife suite apps (which as I mentioned, are old -- '09 editions) how can I restore those after installing Mavericks fresh? Can I just plug in the original Snow Leopard disc that says applications on it, to install? Or would they show up in Mac App Store (I think not since they are so old and I haven't purchased '11 with this account yet).
My wife's computer also has some third party apps which would be a pain to reinstall but not end of the world, I suppose. Another route of migrating and keeping these (but still doing a fresh OS install) might possibly be according to OS X: How to migrate data from another Mac using Mavericks, which is really designed for multiple computer copying. But with the SSD external, could I install Mavericks and then take a Time Machine backup of my internal (original) HDD, including those apps, and then follow these steps to import them into the Mavericks install on the SSD, once I booted into it? Does that make sense?
After some further reading on the subject, I found a lot of difference of opinion (especially on some MacRumor threads) about whether to install fresh OS X or upgrade, but I guess if the install ends up cleaner it could be worth it to install a fresh copy.
Any comments on the above approaches, or thoughts from others here? Thanks again for your help.
