what is the network password for the  ios7?

There is no network password! If you want to connect to a wifi hotspot which is password protected, you have to contact the administrator of the hotspot in order to learn the password. If you are the administrator, you should contact the technician who plugged in your router.if you aren't asking that, let me know so that I can help you!
    Hope I helped!

  • What is my network password and how to remove it?

I am networked. Everytime I try to open the netwroked computer on my MAC, a window wants my network password. I don't remember ever setting up said password. What is it and how can I get the MAC to stop askiong for it?

Hello, are you connecting through a Router with Wifi/Airport?
    Has it ever connected?

  • What does system network password mean.

I have just updated to Mountain Lion.  I had to change my Apple I.D. password.  Most things seem to have gone well.
I now have an intercept.  It says, Enter your system Network Password.  What is that?
It is not my Apple password,  It is not my computer password.  What is it?  Where do I find it?

Sounds like it is asking for a password to join a wifi network.

  • WHAT IS THE NETWORK PASSWORD?

We took the G5 Out of the box plugged it in put batteries in the keyboard etc.
IT found the Linksys Wireless Router for the network then it asked for a password.
    What exactly does it want?
Ive tried every password Ive ever used for anything and it doesnt seem to connect.
Is it requiring something other than what im thinking?
    NOOBIE ON THE MAC

the password that G5 wants is the one for the "Linksys Wireless Router". if any password had given during the setup of Linksys Wireless Router, you should use it. in some cases users "do not" give a password. this means try it leaving blank. your mac only needs the password for the admin user that had to be created at least one during setup. no any other passwords after normal installation. also a new mac taken out of box, begans by the final steps of system setup, including user name and information, your location vs.

what's the username & password when i connect device from cisco network assistant?

    Although that may be true...
If I click the "Connect As..." button it asks for a username and password.
I've experienced connecting to other user's computers on a network.  To gain access to their computer, I just use their username and password.  I've done this before to transfer files without using a flash drive or burned disk.
I'm trying to find out what I'm supposed to log on as to gain access to this device...
My point is that yes, I'm connected to it by wifi.  Otherwise it wouldn't show up; ha-ha!
Is my point really that hard to grasp?

  • I'm trying to recover the network password for my Time Capsule so that I can connect another device (a PC) to it.  I have my Macbook pro set to connect automatically and the password is hidden.  How can I find out what it is.

My issue is that I'm trying to connect a PC to my wireless network run off of a Time capsule/airport router.  My macbook pro connects fine but the network password is hidden and set to autoconnect.  I thought I wrote the password down but when I try to connect the PC laptop and type in the timecapsule network PW is doesn't work.  Trying to verify if the passwird I wrote down is correct but there doesn't seem to be a way to recover this.
Does anyone out there in the community know how to do this? (or do I just have to do a reset on the time capsule

  • Network Password Change

First, please bare with me.  First time on here.   Second, though I have many Apple products and I manage my way around them, I am not familiar with computer terms and there is a lot I don't understand.  However, if something is explained clearly, step by step, I am capable of comprehending pretty fast.  If any of you could find the time and LOTS of patience to help me, I would be very happy. FYI I need things explained as if I was 2.
I want to change my Network Password.  The reason I want to change it is because when I launch my AirPort Utility and select my Airport Express; unfamiliar devices are present under Wireless Clients, besides my 7 Apples.  My internet slowed down, things started freezing in the past few months. (been using Apple since 2009, always keep up with maintenance/upgrades, I only use my Apples for browsing, and mostly uploading pictures, my TimeCapsule does her little backup as she should... this is the first time any of my Apples have slowed down/frozen).  Talked to provider, everything is good on their end.  I don't download big files, the heaviest thing that I do is stream movies through AppleTV.  Always worked. No problems.  But in the past few months, all it ever seems to do is "Connecting to iTunes" or "Loading" or "Ready to play in 72 hours and 35 minutes".   I read most of the questions/answers already on here, however, my computer (iMac, Mavericks) does NOT behave according to the examples posted.  So as much as I would like to follow those suggestions, I am not able to.
...so, I select my AirPort Express, and the box that pops up give me the following info: network, IP address, LAN IP address, serial number, version and wireless clients (no idea what some of these mean and honestly if I don't need to know I don't care).  Now, at this point the only option I am given is to click on "Edit".
When I do, I get a different info box.  At the very top I have these: Base Station, Internet, Wireless, Network, AirPlay. Each of these contain tons of information which I don't understand.  ...I just want to change my Network Password. Do I have the option to do JUST that? Without changing the AirPort Express ...something ...base um, password... I don't kn...
    Please help. Thanks.

Click the Wireless tab at the top of the window
Edit out / backspace out the current password (which is displayed as dots)
Type in a new password of at least 8 characters that you want to use
Do the same thing to Verify the password
Click Update in the lower right corner of the window and wait a full minute for the AirPort Express to restart
When you log on to your wireless network, you will be asked for the "new" password that you typed in. It might be a good idea to write down that password and place it in a safe place in case you do not remember it in a few months.

  • Windows 7 computers asking for network password to access shared files and printers on Windows XP PRO computer.

I have a network of 10 computers configured as peer-to-peer work group. I have upgraded one of the ten from Windows XP PRO to Windows 7 PRO. The other nine computers are all running XP PRO. AS near as I can tell they are all configured the same. I have the
same user and same passwords on all computers. One of XP computers is used as a print server. The Windows 7 computer initially was able to access shared files and printers on all XP machines with out requesting a network password.
Suddenly, the Win 7 computer began requesting a network password to access the shared files and printers on the XP print server. It will not accept any of the user names or passwords (all administrators on both machines with identical names and passwords.)
The Win 7 computer has no problem accessing the shared files on the other XP machines. It can even access shared printers in a different work group. Apparently something has changed but I'm at my wits end trying to figure what changed on either the Windows
7 machine or the print server XP machine.
I would appreciate any help. Thank you

    Hi,
Based on my research, I would like to suggest the following:
    1.
Disable simple file sharing on the Windows XP computer:
How to disable simple file sharing and how to set
permissions on a shared folder in Windows XP
    2.
On the Windows 7 computer, go to “Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Network and Sharing Center\Advanced sharing settings” and ensure that the
    following items are turned ON:
    Network Discovery
    File and printer sharing
    And this one is OFF:
    Password protected sharing
    3.
Temporarily disable or remove all the security software (firewall, anti-virus, anti-spyware, etc.) on the computers and check if it works.
    In addition,
I would like to share the following with you for your reference:
    Troubleshoot file and printer
    sharing
    Hope this helps. Thanks.

  • How do you login to OEM - What is the username/password?

    Hi everyone:
I installed Oracle9i Application Server on Windows 2000. The install was successful and I was able to install the database infrastructure as well as the complete options (forms, reports, portal, wireless, etc.) options for the application server. I tried to logon to the Enterprise Manager Website to change some settings in my database but could not log on. I get the welcome screen (connection is fine with the default port settings) but it asks me for a login username and password. I tried the traditional sys, system but I get no where. What does the defualt installation assign in order to gain acess to the OEM website?

    Hi Jafar,
I too facing the same problem. My enterprise manager connected with sysman/oem_temp after that i changed the password. From the OEM when i click monitor 9IAS, its asking for the network password in the browser.
Please let me know when u find a solution. Thanks in advance. [email protected]

  • Severe Network Password issues

Hi all, this is my first post here.
Of the four computers accessing our router, 3 of them work fine (2 PCs and 1 x Apple PowerBook on OS 10.3.9 over airport).
The machine with the internet connection that no longer works well is my G5. I recently updated the airport software through software update--my thoughts are, does this contain firmware that may have interfered?:
The curious thing is that after performing a clean install with the system discs (10.3.3) and when trying to connect to 'a specific network' as before, the airport sees the network name correctly, but when selected, internet connect now prompts for a WEP password, where it never used to--and it DOESN'T connect--returning an 'Error connecting to MyNetwork' message...
This is the same WEP key as entered in to System Prefs > Network > 'a specific network' > Password--which used to be perfectly adequate.
I am actually now booted from my external clone FW 800 drive, which was a backup from September when everything worked fine--and guess what--my clone network settings work absolutely fine and I can connect to the internet and sit here writing this post, no problem...
So because of this I don't believe that it is a hardware issue.
However, when performing a clean installation of 10.3.3 and choosing to 'transfer user network data' from a previous mac (in this instance my boot clone), everything clones perfectly EXCEPT the network password settings which refuse to connect to the internet and behave again, in the manner described above.
I have run all sorts of disc tests, clean installs that transfer no data from anything previous whatsoever, with various updates applied, and yes, even copied my clone drive using superduper back onto the main system disc as an erase and install clone of my boot clone... to no avail.
A small gllimmer of hope appeared briefly when having cleared the PRAM on startup, after a few more identical attempts at entering the password on a clean install (with NO data transferred from the boot clone on install), the airport DID make a connection. But only briefly, it gave up the connection after a short while and reverted to the error messages as before.
What is frustrating is that surely if it was a Keychain issue, any keychain info would be zeroed from the clean install. The Airport can see the router, but wont connect without the correct password. I've tried addding $ signs in front of the password too, and like I say, it did connect once for about five minutes and then died again...
And the really annoying thing is that it works fine when I boot up in the boot clone!!!
Any ideas, help and suggestions will be really really appreciated.
    Many thanks,
    Stuart.

The password you are being asked for is the Base Station password. The default is "public." If this was changed, you can perform a "soft" reset on the AX to get it back.

  • When i back up an iphone on itunes does it save my social network passwords and stuff so when i connect another phone and sync it it'll all be there and i won't have to sign into everything again?

when i back up an iphone on itunes does it save my social network passwords and stuff so when i connect another phone and sync it it'll all be there and i won't have to sign into everything again? because, i don't know most of my passwords im just signed in to everything on my phone but i'm getting a new one.
    please help

    Hey menaelraghy,
Thanks for the question. The following resource outlines what is backed up, you may be interested in this section:
    iTunes: About iOS backups
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4946
    - Keychain (includes email account passwords, Wi-Fi passwords, and passwords you enter into websites and some applications)
If you encrypt the backup, you can transfer the keychain information to the new device. With an unencrypted backup, you can restore the keychain only to the same iOS device. If you're restoring to a new device with an unencrypted backup, you need to enter these passwords again.
    Thanks,
    Matt M.
