What is net monitor option in Nokia 1200?

Hi guys today I bought Nokia 1200 for backup. It’s a low end phone but found very useful. There is an option called "Net monitor" in menu. Sometimes it appear and sometime just vanish, If I go through this, its asked for some digit and title bar show "test" but after press some digit and ok nothing happened. I can’t understand what that is. Anybody has any idea? I already press 101, 000 like some digit, has it activated any hidden option? If it is then do I have to press other digit for deactivate? What is that? Thanks.

what you hav just found is a net monitor tool that is used bye RF Field engineers to observe the singnal level and quality. If you are really intersted in this you can download user manual for net monitor from internet(available in pdf format). I hope this info. is of some help to you.

We have one pair Cisco ASA 5505 located in different location and there are two point to point links between those two locations, one for primary link (static route w/ low metric) and the other for backup (static route w/ high metric). I'm not sure if the setting is so sensitive that the secondary static route begins to work right away, even when some small link flappings occur.
What is the best practice to set those parameters up in the production environment. How can we specify the reasonanble monitoring options to fit our needs.

Of course too sensitive might cause failover to happen when some packets get lost, but remember the whole purpose of this is to provide as less downtime to your network as possible,
Now if you tune these parameters what happen is that failover will be triggered on a different time basis.
This is taken from a cisco document ( If you tune the sla process as this states, 3 packets will be sent each 10 seconds, so 3 of them need to fail to SLA to happen) This CISCO configuration example looks good but there are network engineers that would rather to use a lower time-line than that.

What are best output options in DVDSP for playback on VGA Computer Screen?

I understand that DVDs were designed to be viewed on TV sets - not computer monitors with much higher resolution than a TV set.
However .... I'm curious what the best output options are within DVDSP3 for playback on a standard 19" VGA computer screen 1024x768 and not necessarily on a TV screen. Any ideas?
Will DVDSP3 address playback on a standard VGA computer screen any better than iDVD6? .... or are they both very much the same?
Here's my objective:
MiniDV>FCP HD >DVD SP3>DVD-R / Playback on VGA 19" Monitor only (no TV involved).

George - I'm not a web designer, so I'm probably not the best person to respond but here goes anyway (FWIW):
(anywhere from 10sec to 2min) for website visitors to play (but not download). There can be multiple audios per web page.
No problem. QuickTime. X-platform and you can set whether it's downloadable or not - but that's really moot, as anything on the web can be captured, especially with the 'analog loophole' such as WireTap or Audio Hi Jack.
I need a combination of buttons from very simple round (or square 20x20 pix) to a bar style with volume control, both with the option to change the color to fit my site.
Buttons are your business - nothing to do with playback functionality. They are usually just a link to a file - your site should be set up to play anything, by anything, that's clicked on… Flash, QT whatever

So you're hosting? I'd hate to go down that path… what if your site takes off? What if it goes down?You'd never handle the bandwidth. IMO better to buy inexpensive (but competent) hosting for $10 or so per month and avoid the headaches, and expand the hosting service as and when required.

In system preferences I can no longer find the option that allows for this energy saving feature. What happened to this option and why is this no longer happening with the latest version of Lion?

No external monitors or devices attached. When you mention that this function only works when devices are attached that is true when you set up your preferences that way. Up until my upgrade to Lion the computer would always go into sleep mode when I closed the lid. There also used to be an option to check in system preferences that allowed you to choose this option. My question for the discussion is what happened to that option and how do you get the computer to sleep or at least the display to sleep when you close the lid as we have been able to do in the past. External monitor options For Macbook Pro(2011)

Just curious as to what my monitor options are as a external monitor for the Macbook Pro. I'm pretty much set on 27'' thunderbolt display but its a hefty price to swallow...
Best buy has some good deals on there 27'' monitor but can i get the same resolution and clarity from other brands that will be eqivalent to Apple?
I'd like to stay in the 27'' to 30'' size...

* Name
the name of the cell. This is shown by an algorithm when you select 'Cell Name from Id' in the settings. Or from the cell broadcast when you have turned 'Cell Name from CBS' on and have defined a service number. Otherwise one a '-' is shown. If both is turn on the CBS overwrites the generated name.
* Signal
shows the quality of the receive signal. The percentage value is taken from the Nokia phone API. The dBm values is covered with an at command (CellTrack62) or the newer API (CellTrack70).
* Battery
should show the capacity of your battery
* Description
shows the information from the database.

shows the dBm values as green and the percentage as black line. The red lines a cell changes

My Nokia 1200 is not sending texts. When I push 'send' the note: "Message sending failed" pops up immediately. Pls if anyone knows how to fix this problem I'll be eternally greatful!!! TY.

i'm encountering the same problem on my Nokia 1200 (Type: RH-99) bought in Austria in January 2008. It is a great phone - everything i expect from a mobile!
However, suddenly the phone shows me the message "Message sending failed" when i want to send a text message. I could not find any other problem.
Of course i did some research, i tried to use another SIM-Card from a different provider, exact same error. I tried to follow the advise from 'cjlim' to order the networksettings from (my local) Nokiapage.

i also know this thread Re: Manual for 1200 says you have to set a message center number in order to be able to text.
fact is, there is no such option in N1200 and it worked befor with a new mobile without any settings to be made.

I had fits with the last link I posted. At first it worked fine, then all of a sudden, it quit working. I now have iCloud - iCal syncing, but iCal is read only. Not a real big deal since you can log onto iCloud using Safari and post a new event.
I finally gave up on Address Book because it kept creating multiple contacts, which if you tried to merge or delete the multiple contacts, the contacts were deleted. It also worked at first and then stopped working as it should.

Same here, I have Logic Studio 8 and wouldn't mind staying with that version, except that the installer won't run on my new Macbook Pro as PowerPC apps are no longer supported. That's the message I get in any case.
I use to run Logic on a 2006 Macbook Pro.

Trace to Pads Net Group Options not Avalible

Hello, To explain my problem I have prepared as
easy example as it is possible.
Let suppose
that we have a circuit diagram that is shown below in the attached figure
(Figure A). As can be seen the circuit diagram consists of three resistors R1,
R2, R3 and one connector J1. These parts are connected each other by three nets
1,2 and 3. Nets 1 and 2 is grouped into HV group with a Multisim clearance
option (to trace, to pads, to copper parts) equal to 10 mil. In Ultiboard this
HV group in Net Group Tab is set to clearance option (to trace, to pads, to
copper parts) equal to 100. It results from the fact that both lines (1,2)
exhibit, in example 1000V, while net 3 only 10V. Thus these nets, namely 1 and
2 posses internal clearance 10 mil to each other and external 100 mil with
respect to the net 3. Up to now everything works fine but when we turn on the
Autorouting option for a given geometry configuration (Figure B) it will
produce complete disaster (Figure C). As can be seen in figure C), the
Autorouter does not take into account the “Group HV” clearance to the pads. The
green trace from Resistor R1 to connector J1 should look more likely like in
Figure D.
My question
is: Why the Ultiboard does not take into account the Group HV clearance to the
pads. ??????
I was
trying to solve this problem in many different ways.
In example,
I have changed manually the pad clearance of a connector J1 to a given value.
It works – the Autorouter will produce the result that looks like in figure D),
but it will produce the clearance to each net independently of a net group that
it belongs !!!!!.
In the J1 part pad clearance option one can set
“Use net settings” – but it will produce only 10 mil clearance for pads. Why
there are no option “Use Net Group settings” ????????? I mean that a clearance
of a pad is different for different groups or nets !!!!!!!

me once again.
I have
already made a lot of tests with different examples and I have the following
ideas, solutions and propositions:
1)
The
main algorithm “engine” of the software does not work properly, namely during
the operation the algorithm does not take into account the clearance properties
of a net that is currently under construction. The engine takes only the
clearance properties of a nets/vias/pads which are approached during the engine
operation. This result in substantial amount of mistakes in “Follow-me”-tool
and Autorouter.
Possible solutions: Actually, there are no easy
solutions - I am working on it and I am trying to elaborate procedure that may
helps.
2)
The
main idea of software is also not perfect. In principle, THT/SMD pads and vias
should do not exhibit own clearance properties if they are already connected
via nets. If a net exhibit 1500 Volts (clearance = 200 mil) then the THT-pad
should at lest exhibits the same clearance property. In Ultiboard it is set to 10 mils for each pad. This may results
in substantial amount of mistakes in “DRC check rule”
Possible solutions: One can manually change the
clearance properties of a pads/vias. But this is not good solution especially
if there exists a lot of parts with different pads configurations and different
nets connection configuration (It takes a lot of time to carry it out
precisely). Moreover it does not help if in our design there are different Net
groups. There are not “Use net Group” option thus pad/vias exhibit the same
clearance property for ever and with respect to all others nets independently
of the group that they belongs.
Above mentioned problems are crucial in high
voltage electronics (staring from 115V). Thus NI Design suite is not suitable
for this type constructions (power supplies). It works properly with certain
conditions, i.e. with low voltages.

#1. Understand that if you switch carriers, you can NOT take your existing iPhone with you. It won't work. You will need to purchase a new one.
#2. Your only choices are Sprint and Verizon. Decide who has the better coverage in your area. Keep in mind that you will NOT be able to get simultaneous voice and 3G data on either of these, as their CDMA networks do not support it. The U.S. T-Mobile network is not supported and is not fully compatible with the iPhone as it operates on a rarely used frequency compared to the rest of the world.
#3. What in the world are "niners"? Do you mean you want to be able to keep your existing "phone numbers"? If so, that should be no problem. Most numbers in the US are now portable.
#4. Consider WHY you want to switch. If the issue is really price, you're not going to see much of a difference. A few dollars a month at best for comparable voice and data plans.
