After applying settings to a video, only the first frame of the video has been affected (when viewed outside of LR).  Also, After Effects will not import the video regardless of what format I choose to export as.  It would be nice to utilize LR as my video color correcting tool, but so far no such luck.

load an image and open the tone curve panel (you already did this probably).  at the lower right of the canvas you'll see a button with "!" on it.  click the button to convert to "2012 process".  wait.  when it is done if you *still* don't see the channel dropdown click the "edit tone curve" button to hide the sliders and *then* you should see the channel dropdown.
I found this totally mystifying, but once I found it (luck) I get it...new features, new entries in the database or some other magic.  anyway the video sure didn't give me a hint.

    Hello Julieanne,
I'm using Lightroom 5 and I'm interested in the smart preview feature; one question: is it possible a workflow like this one: work with a desktop with all the photos in one hard disk and no smart preview; then export one catalog with smart preview and open it in my laptop so that I can work with the files and modify. Then export it back to the desktop version once I'm back home.
    Thanks and regards,
    Marco

Hi, Thanks for the great video.
I'm having a problem -- when trying to sync Upright Auto across several images it appears to be pasting the transform instead of the auto correction.  I set it exactly per the video, yet I still need to hit the "Reanalyze" button for each image -- which sort of defeats the purpose of the sync.  I have the same problem if I use "Upright" in a custom preset.
Is this a program bug?  Or is there something I can change about the way I'm doing things?
Thanks for any help you can provide.

  • New to Lightroom, problem importing raw CR2 files.

I am new to Lightroom and am having trouble importing my CR2 raw photo files. In the "import" section I select my SD card that contains the raw image files. All .jpeg files on the card show up as thumbnails but the CR2 files show "preview not available for this file." I select one of the CR2 thumbnails anyway, select a destination folder on my external hard drive and click "import." A window pops up that says, "this file is not recognized by the raw support format in Lightroom." I'm using Lightroom 4.4 and am working with a Windows Vista operating system (on an old, junky laptop). My camera is a Canon 70D and am shooting in RAW+JPEG. I also downloaded the Adobe .DNG converter 6.3 to try to convert the files before importing them into Lightroom and it is also not recognizing and importing my CR2 files. Not sure what to do at this point. Any suggestions?

I would recommend downloading DNG Converter 8.2 which is compatible with Vista.
The latest version 8.6 requires W7 or W8

This is a user-to-user forum and most people will post on here if they have problems. You very rarely get people posting to say there update went smooth. The fact is the vast majority of Mountain Lion users will not be experiencing any major problems with the OS, or maybe with apps which are not compatible, but thats hardly Apple's fault if developers don't update their apps.

  • Firefox 5 was released. But i dont know that what is new in this compared to firefox 4.0.

    I didn't see anything new.

Think of Firefox 5.0 as both a security update in place of 4.0.2 and having had some work done also, something that minor releases generally do not get.

  • Anyone know what is new in iTunes 6.0.3.5?

iTunes 6.0.3.5 came out today (with no relesae notes).
Anyone here know what's new in it?
    Fujitsu Lifebook P-2120   Windows XP

Just installed and had a quick look, nothing obviously different. However it seemd that updating iPod was faster (with 6.0.2 it seemed to pause while copying songs and take longer), also my 5G 30GB iPod moved past "do not disconnect" considerably faster after clicking Eject iPod.
Using version 1.1 of the iPod software and have been since it was released so the improvement seems to be brought about by 6.0.3.5
